People back then for sure wouldn't even regret about their decisions with BTC current value before. Of course most common expectation if we got asked what we would do if there's a time machine is to buy a lot of BTC. But back then, I don't even have idea what is crypto I'm just a student who thought by studying well would get me rich. So for sure studying crypto would come first so when I got some funds for investment I could also ride the pump since there's no late comers in this industry.

I don't think I'd try to make money by investing in bitcoin if I had a time machine. I'd probably go back in time to give myself a few tips, make sure I choose the right path in life, something different than what I'm doing now. I'd probably tell myself to buy some bitcoin, but being able to go back in time would allow you to make money from a number of sources.
To invest you first need money. How would you make money out of nothing? Probably by gambling. Knowing what I know, for instance which guys became boxing or mma champions, I could make money out of nothing. I could then put that money into Tesla or Amazon stock and be rich without ever touching bitcoin.

If I had a time machine that I could use only once, I would probably travel back to when I quit study and I would not quit, would keep studying, and when 2008 comes, I would definitely be paying attention to economic crysis and educate myself about that, and in the next year, I would probably be aware of what Bitcoin could become in the future and I would onboard since the beginning!

If you could travel back in time today, what would you do?

Every now and then someone asks a similar question and each time I ask why don't people just buy bitcoin right now. It is not like we've reached the maximum price possible! Funny thing is that if you check the price at that time against current price you can see what those who didn't buy then, have already missed out.

For example you can see in this topic some people say "they would have bought $X worth of bitcoins". Price that month dropped as low as $6k and today it is 5x higher! Do you think any of those guys bought bitcoin then instead of wishing they had a time machine?

Who knows, maybe in a couple of years from now I find this topic and post it as an example for someone else who will have asked this question again

I guess people will just have the same answer, to buy bitcoin while it’s still very cheap and affordable and hold them for years, and just sell them when bitcoin price reaches its highest peak price and gain maximum profits. But if this thread will still be asked years from now, probably people will still regret why they keep on missing opportunities, wishing they could have been billionaires in the present time.

Predictions were made about this valuable currency in the past as well but some have gone down in history by selling this precious currency at a low price.

Not only here but also in the past hundreds of Bitcoins have been traded which is amazing to see today. Those who traded Bitcoin at that time are now only regretting it and those who bought and held Bitcoin at that time, it is amazing to think how much their fortunes have changed today.

Well, that is expected but I believed that what happened has its own reasons and those were not really a waste because that was one of the reasons why bitcoin became more known and be the bitcoin that we have these days as those trades and sold(s) were like a stepping-stone so that bitcoin will evolve into a much-needed asset.

If there was a time machine these people you mentioned would have turned back the hand of time and sold in 2021 when there was ATH. Though this only exists in movies and if this was possible I doubt if Bitcoin recognition will be as this and also the value also might even be lesser than what those people sold it for.

If only I had a 20 minute future time trouble machine I could be a billionaire in no time trading futures.  Because here you can get leverage up to 125x for Bitcoin.  It is possible to earn huge amounts if the future is known for a short period of time. I think if anyone got this machine they would all think so.  Because crypto is one thing, if you take the right entry, you can earn huge profits in a short time.  And can make a person rich overnight

If you could travel back in time today, what would you do?

If I have a time machine that could travel back in time, I won't be too greedy going back to early years of Bitcoin.  I am fine going back to the year 2016 when the signature campaign pays more than 0.04 BTC per week.  I wouldn't aim for the BTC that I have not accumulated but the one that I earned instead.  My plan is just to save the BTC I acquired, hodl it and wait for the price to trend according to the history.  Then sell half of it on the BTC market peak of 2021.

Everyone will answer corny - I would buy bitcoin cheaper.
For example, one hundred dollars when it cost so much in the last months of 2013. (In fact, I then bought a tenth of bitcoin, but a month later I spent it - I needed money).
Or everyone will start arguing that they would have bought it for at least $ 1,000. But the fact is that time machines that move you back in time will never be invented, because then we would have met travelers from the future for a long time. But there are none.

Nevertheless, experience and strategy can easily make a profit, and there is no need to move in time. It's enough just to make the right predictions.

It is impossible to purchase Bitcoin even if one were to travel through a time machine. While time travel may allow for the observation of past events, it is unlikely that any alterations can be made since one is traveling alone rather than affecting the entire world. However, this scenario is merely a dream and is unlikely to ever occur. Personally, if given the opportunity to change something from the past, I would choose not to have been born, rendering the acquisition of Bitcoin or any actions in this world unnecessary. Money plays a significant role in our lives, and it is often our primary focus. Life can seem meaningless without it.

Not so many who where there at the beginning of bitcoin who bought Bitcoin at a cheap rate are. Retired right now, we still have some Bitcoin OG who is still very much active with the present economic situation and still work from 8-5 pm every day.

So most time retiring early doesn't have to do with individuals' financial state because some are lucky to have gained financial freedom at an early stage of their lives through taking calculated risks.


We have several such Bitcoin old OG here in the forum and they are still very much active here and it makes, .. so old investors have the chance to make any change in their life whether to be active to keep themselves busy, but saying they won't work at all for the rest of the life on bitcoin investment.

So if you have the strength even after making all the money you desired to leave a life of activities vs retirements.

The fact that we are still having these "what if time machine" posts shows how childish and amateurish Bitcoin community is. You don't see these kind of posts on forums of stock traders, real estate investors, etc. How do you expect Bitcoin to become a real financial force if to most users Bitcoin is just a dream of getting rich quick while doing nothing?

While many of us would like to go back in time where the price of bitcoin was like a cents or a couple of dollars and will buy by that time and hold it until in the future.

Your idea was actually a good one.

I have never thought of it but it's likely a good strategy really. One can make that pump quickly with his own money upon leveraging when you know what's gonna happen within the next 20 minutes.

If I have a time machine I will go back to 2010 and be at my greediest I will even sell our house and work to death just to accumulate as many Bitcoin as possible and try to stay alive and healthy until the price skyrocketed, I would have to stop imagining myself that I will be the wealthiest guy on Earth while waiting  or people might think I'm going nuts.
There's still a lot of risk in going back to the past and implementing my plan because it's possible that I cannot enjoy the things I'm enjoying now like posting in this forum because I will be busy spending my fortune.

If I had a time travelling machine, I would definitely want to go back when the first time I had known Bitcoin. I heard about bitcoin since 2014, If I only knew that time that it has a very good future in investing i would definitely invested. During that time i was hesitant because i do not have knowledge in investing in crypto currencies. I do not know either how to use the crypto wallet, i was so confused and afraid that i invested my investment will get hacked. Well that is already in the past and now that i had more knowledge i am eager to do investment in crypto currency.

I wonder, why do so many of us always think that those who made history will regret selling their bitcoins? We are not them and do not know what they think or need, so it is wrong to say they have been and are regretting. I believe they have no regrets and did everything right because the future is unpredictable.

Thinking about time machines is useless because it's only in sci-fi movies. Instead, it's not too late to invest in bitcoin now. I think we should focus on working and earning money to buy bitcoin as much as possible, and if we hold it for 10 years and 15 years, our profits are not small.
