This is one of the very reasons that Bitcoin was created - As a safeguard against banking failure. Saving and investing are two completely different concepts, I hope you understand. Don't rely on what researchers stated and don't put all of your savings into bitcoin. I believe you should only invest what you know you can lose without suffering serious financial hardship. The researchers have been saying these for several times, and most of the time they said the bull run doesn't come at that time, it comes before the time they said or after the time they said. However, just because success usually comes with a risk doesn't mean we shouldn't take precautions for it.
Since you stated that you are still in school, I advise you to divide your income into three equal halves so that you can utilize one portion for studying and the other for other things. Some in bitcoin and the other for your family needs if you're the one providing there needs.

I agree that if it is taking up time from your studies then it is bad, studying and graduating is important if you actually do care about the field you study. I personally did, but I know only a few people in all of my class did, and after we graduated they all did a different job, if you are like that then maybe instead of just graduating without having a thing to show for, you could instead just switch majors and try to find something you could actually do.

I believe that studying for 4 years without having anything to show for in the end is futile. Crypto is not like that, if you could buy and hold until you graduate, even if you do nothing else, you could definitely have some profits by the end and that will help you start your life much better with some money.

Even though it was not legal but as long as it was not banned in their country, they can still invest and hold their Bitcoin. Well, the problem is that when converting it to fiat money. But there is a solution to that problem and OP must not focus on it but instead, think about the future and this is one way to help his studies and for his family. It not good to keep your money in any crypto. it is only good if you keep it in BTC because of the liquidity issue.  May cryptocurrency had not established it market yet, they are too volatile without strong liquidity, unlike Bitcoin.  So if ever you wanted to hold your money in the form of cryptocurrency, you better hold it in Bitcoin.

Don't expect too much for profit while holding Bitcoin, even though it is a well-established cryptocurrency, its market is still subject to high fluctuation where there are cases that the price will have a flash crash and or a sudden price surge.  Just make sure you don't panic if you witness the flash crash, Bitcoin has proven that it can recover its market over time.

Its true about earning potential which Bitcoin could really give out that chance but you should be mindful about some few points.

1. Bitcoins price doesnt really have an assurance on how it would be in the end of the year or specially on 2025. Dont believe about those conclusions made out

It is a good idea to hold Bitcoin for a long time. You will have a chance to get bigger profits if you hold it for a long time. But don't trust 100% about people's prediction about Bitcoin price over $100k in the next 2 years. You must have your own research and your own prediction, then you need your target for selling your Bitcoin at a certain price. TBH, I don't target to sell all my Bitcoin when Bitcoin price passes $100k, I will sell my Bitcoin gradually below $100k. No one can guarantee that Bitcoin can reach $100k or not.
