any good coins worth mining with this?

No, it doesn't even exist yet.

The specs seem like they will be pretty good though.  With the GPU market in shambles at the moment and even with cheap power mining isn't very profitable, I wonder if this next gen of GPU might not be a bad pickup to run for the next couple of years while the market recovers.  I could see this next generation sticking around and staying profitable for the next 3-4 years maybe.  While that isn't as great as the run the 1080 or Radeon VII had, today that seems like it would be a dream come true.  I might have to pick one up to see for myself.

I always advise beginners to avoid hot video cards. These video cards will be very expensive, and one of the reasons will be the lack of competitors in the market. AMD doesn't even have any rumors about a competitor to the 5090 video card yet.
And if there are problems with overheating, you will have to disassemble the expensive video card to install better thermal paste and thermal pads and lose the warranty.

Nvidia RTX 5090 launch might hinge on AMD's RDNA 4 success
Gamers and creators waiting to see Nvidia's next-gen RTX 5090 in 2024 should keep a close eye on what AMD does next year, since Nvidia may be timing the RTX 5090 launch based on what AMD does with its own next-gen GPUs.

In a recent video, tech channel Moore's Law is Dead delved into the potential release date of the Nvidia RTX 5090, and the launch of the company's next-gen cards in 2024 largely hinges on the competitiveness of AMD's forthcoming RDNA 4 GPUs according to an Nvidia source.

I hope Nvidia never makes an RTX 5090 Smiley
We don’t know how many RTX 4090s customers bought compared to other cards, but it certainly marks a shift in Nvidia’s positioning. Instead of an optional extra on top of the flagship model, the RTX 4090 is the head honcho. It’s the card that gamers salivate over. It’s the gold standard. That’s unfortunately only amplified the issues with the card.

I’m convinced Nvidia will release an RTX 5090 whenever we see next-gen GPUs, but I hope it isn’t as problematic as the RTX 4090 is. Don’t get me wrong, the RTX 4090 is a great card. But trying to achieve such high performance in a PC built for gaming has shown some side effects, and it would be a shame to see those mistakes repeated.

RTX 5090 release date window speculation and expectations
For the Blackwell range of cards, we look to when you can expect the RTX 5090 to come out
We look at the RTX 5090 release date, and what we might expect from it. The Ada series hasn’t been too exciting for a lot of reasons if it’s the high costs or not-so-great improvements then you may be looking ahead to the RTX 50 series might be what you’re after.

Although a flagship card with a high cost, it shows off what the generation has to offer. But we would expect the RTX 5080 to be the better contender for the people’s choice. However, that might not be the case if it follows the 4080 in how well it went. Now the flagship holds the power of what Nvidia GeForce RTX has to offer, and the current leaks and rumors show off plenty of potential. So we see what that might be.

There is no choice left for Nvidia to try and achieve huge performance out of the new series than to accept some side effects as the power of new generation cards needs to be great and as such Nvidia needs to push it further and further.

I am very much interested in seeing how much this card has improved in mining efficiency as it needs to get to near 250 Mhsh in processing power to call it a huge improvement. As for gaming we know Nvidia kills it everytime.

With their investors now needing massive profit increases to justify the company's valuation, I suspect pricing on these won't be friendly.  I'll definitely be looking to scoop one up if the right deal comes along though.  I can only imagine if Bitcoin and other cryptos continue to rise in value what these will be selling for in a year from now.  We'll have to wait and see how the real world performance is, but if they try to price these competitively to damage competitors with a price war, it might be a get them while/if you can situation.

AMD does not yet plan to make powerful video cards in the 8000 series and will actively compete with Nvidia in the mid-range gaming segment. But we have not yet seen the announcements of the 5060 and 5070 video cards

Nvidia RTX 50-series graphics cards: news, release date, price, and more
As far as the release date goes, we haven’t heard any specifics from Nvidia just yet — but most estimates pin the launch of Blackwell around the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025. Some very tentative whispers even mention a possible RTX 50 refresh in 2026, but that’s way too far into the future to pay it much mind.

According to early rumors, Nvidia wasn’t supposed to be ready to launch the new graphics cards until 2025. This would give AMD a major edge, seeing as it’s rumored to launch RDNA 4 GPUs later this year. However, according to YouTuber and frequent leaker Moore’s Law Is Dead, Nvidia may not give AMD the breathing room it so badly needs.

NVIDIA RTX 5090 to Leverage TSMC’s 3nm (N3) Node, Launching in Late 2024
The upcoming RTX 50 series GPUs, codenamed Blackwell, are planned for a late 2024 release. Like Ada, it will also be a monolithic design. According to Kopite7kimi, these GPUs will be fabbed on TSMC’s 3nm (N3) node. You can expect transistor counts of over a billion and densities of nearly 150 billion/mm². Blackwell should offer core clocks of over 3GHz and bus widths of up to 512 bits, resulting in memory bandwidths rivaling HBM memory.

Where are you going in such a hurry?
I don't have 3090 and 4090 because they are very hot video cards. And I think that the 5090 will also be very hot. With such video cards, I will look at the reviews of other mining bloggers and it is still unknown what season will be on the market when the sale of this video card begins.

Nvidia's next-generation B100 products are based on the all-new Blackwell architecture that promises to significantly improve performance of AI compute compared to the existing Hopper architecture, according to the company's performance projections. Given sheer demand for high-performance AI processors on the market, it is likely that Nvidia's existing customers have already pre-ordered at least some B100 products.
These are professional video accelerators on the same platform as the RTX 5090.

Memory for RTX 5090 is ready

In context: JEDEC is an independent trade organization overseeing the development of technology standards in the semiconductor industry. With over 350 members, including some of the world's largest computer companies, JEDEC has 100 different committees and task groups working in every segment of the industry.

The JEDEC Solid State Technology Association recently announced the final version of the new GDDR7 memory standard. Open specifications for the JESD239 Graphics Double Data Rate (GDDR7) SGRAM tech are available for download from the JEDEC website, and they're poised to provide all the memory bandwidth needed by future high-performance computing applications including gaming, 3D graphics, networking, and, of course, AI.

I think the problem will be the price, USD2000 MSRP will mean 2500+ from resellers in first 6 months.

If this video card can be used to mine coins with a profit of $30 per day, for example, then the price of such a video card can be much more than $3,000.
MSRP in stores or even less, this is when there is no profit in GPU mining Smiley
There is no announcement date or exact specifications yet, but this will be the most powerful video card on the market.

Hopefully Nvidia will fix the toasty things that happened massively with the 4090 in the beginning,so hopefully this does not happen again with over 2000 dollars video card.I find it very difficult for this card to make more than 5-6 dollars to 8-9 at best based on the profit of the 4090 right now,I doubt this will bring more than double of the performance of the Rtx 4090.I am not that much excited for such cards as I never will buy one of those but I am happy that older series will go down dramatically in price or at least they have to go down dramatically in price,no matter that this don't always happen.

I don’t think that miners will sell Rtx 4090 video cards after the Rtx 5090 appears on the market. Rtx 4090 video cards are very problematic due to overheating in mining, and they require proper maintenance and good cooling. Although these video cards give a very large profit on many new coins in the first days of mining and they will be relevant for a very long time.

Stock of NVIDIA's Lovelace GPUs could soon get thinner on the ground ahead of RTX 5090 launch
Fresh chatter from the grapevine claims NVIDIA could cut production of RTX 4000 graphics cards ahead of its Blackwell launch in H2 2024.
Industry experts in South Korea are cited as sources who are saying that NVIDIA has told its manufacturing partners that it'll be dropping shipments in terms of supply for existing RTX 4000 graphics cards.

This is ahead of the launch of RTX 5000 models - although according to the rumor mill, only the RTX 5090 is due this year. We've previously been told that the Blackwell flagship should turn up late in the year, possibly as late as November - though fresh buzz from the grapevine has suggested it could be earlier.

NVIDIA board partners expect GeForce RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 to launch in fourth quarter

Board manufacturers anticipate the launch of NVIDIA’s latest RTX 50 series graphics cards in the fourth quarter, initially focusing on high-end products like the 5090 and 5080. Analysts are optimistic that NVIDIA’s biennial major GPU upgrades will boost shipment volumes for board manufacturers this year and drive up the average selling price (ASP) of graphics card products.
