Most people have accounts on mtgox with funds in them.

How about if someone purchased them as cheap as possible , as low as people are willing to sell (type of auction style but the lowest bid wins Cheesy )

Do you think that would work ? Do you think people would sell their mtgox funds for cheap prices?

That way the buyer would hold on to them and just hope mtgox would allow withdrawal one day and if they do , the buyer would profit immensly?

Sure. I have 100 000 GoxBTC, I'll sell them for 1000 BTC if you act fast and send BTC immediately. I'll transfer GoxBTC to you as soon as that would be possible. Deal?

There are already such ideas. From price proposed for it though, I guess old clients weren't interested.

I have lots, wouldn't sell except for 100% value, I doubt they lost any coins and all evidence seems to be pointing that way.
