It's a good thing to find Op's thought on bitcoin and the exaggerated percent of people he claim were aiming to have a currency like bitcoin. I don't understand it the same way you just did. Bitcoin is so good a currency for people to admire it or think of a currency that operates like bitcoin before Satoshi launched it. They're lots of digital money that existed before bitcoin, like e-gold, a sign that people craved for a currency that would operate without a middle man. However, my agreement with his exaggeration is not even, just that I understood his view differently. The fact that people mostly youths waited for a currency, bitcoin, doesn't mean they'll be interested in bitcoin when it launched for some reasons best known by the individuals.

The fact that people mostly youths waited for a currency, bitcoin, doesn't mean they'll be interested in bitcoin when it launched for some reasons best known by the individuals.

What Op mean is the average number of people using bitcoin and this number are largely in youths no that true. the president of El Salvador adopting bitcoin in his country is youth   back when gold was use it was exclusive for the adults and advance age class but today bitcoin is largely use by youth age the old still more with banks.

This means that you are reading the data incorrectly. In your post, you claimed "80% of the world...", that's a very big number and I don't know what exactly you meant by that, but it's obviously wrong.

From the source you quoted:

"420 million crypto users" is approximately 5.3% of the total population of the world, that's not even close to 80%.

You're reading the percentages wrong.
It's 94% of all the buyers are millennials under the age of 40, there could be two or 1 million of them!

That doesn't mean that 94% of the population is buying,  it doesn't mean the majority of millennials are buying or using crypto, and it doesn't mean anything from a global perspective. For example, if 9 people under 40 buy bitcoin and one over 40 does the same you have 90% of the buyers being millennials, but there are still only ten buyers.

"420 million crypto users" is approximately 5.3% of the total population of the world, that's not even close to 80%.

With the mempool clog happening with just 400k transactions, I really believe the 400 million! "users" number is pure bull!

I agree, bitcoin is a great thing although I think your numbers and data are incorrect. Can you share the source of your information?
I think many other people who have no connection to this forum are responsible for the promotion and development of bitcoin, but of course Satoshi was active here in the beginning and shared his vision of bitcoin.
This forum is still relevant as a source of information about bitcoin and as a gathering place for the crypto community.

This is an idea that comes from the maturity of the concept and Satoshi is a generation that has never been mentioned in one of the founders of freedom that deserves to be awarded, because some see it as contrary to the previous system. Nearly all work has a purpose and I believe leads to the fulfillment stage of responsibility, but the question is how the former system can allow people to save money value in the future and almost certainly lose more value.

While bitcoin is a generation that can be adjusted to save the value of the currency you have, the method is very simple, namely by buying and holding according to the desired time period. Welcome to the forum and do the right thing and you will find your way to success.

Nothing is above man, it was humans that created Bitcoin so Bitcoin isn't surpassing man, I would agree that Bitcoin is hard to predict, even if some claims to be able to predict Bitcoin I would say to prevent panic through fomo (fear of missing out) FUD (Fear uncertainty and doubt) it's best to do your own research and understand things yourself taking in account authentic news.

The users in this forum form a large chunk of the Bitcoin community, but the community spreads across other platforms other than this forum, so there are quite a lot of members of the community that are not active users in this forum. Bitcoin is an open source project, thus anyone can be involved, either via mining, running a full node, hodling, trading, etc, and they are all part of the reason why the network is working unhindered, big thanks to all of us.

Having said that, many people erroneously think Bitcoin is a get rich quick scheme, and it propels them to make many mistakes whilst using Bitcoin, thus DYOR about the network to avoid making such mistakes.

It's actually true that the Bitcointalk forum contributed a lot to the adoption of Bitcoin and in spreading the word about it, and we must acknowledge that signature campaigns played a pretty big role in that since people used to join and still join this forum after hearing that they can earn money from this forum and that has contributed greatly towards Bitcoin adoption in the mainstream world.
