Recover ETH from a unavaiable DEX exchange

Hi guys, someone maybe can help me.


some years ago i was using Saturn protocol exchange, a dex exchange on ETH BC. unfortunately they have closed they'r server and platform is unavaiable.

i've some buy order in ETH over there but i'm not able to cancel it anymore.. and my ETH is lock in some smart contract i think...

someone know how can i do to recover my ETH?

When did this happen? By the look of it[1], it appears that it's being a very long time since they shut down their services. Regardless though, if the funds are stuck in a smart contract, I would imagine they're the only ones who can recover them for you, so you need to contact them if you haven't already.

I guess you should consider that ETH as completely gone if it's stuck inside a smart contract. On their twitter, I saw some people complain about their funds as well until they gave up. I don't think they are coming back.

An exit scam perhaps because if they wanted to stop the business, they should have announced it and made people withdraw their funds.

There's no such DEX in altcoins, this one is the example where any non custodial exchange is using a centralized smart contract where they control over it. A non custodial exchange has an instant exchange since you're paying higher than the normal, you wouldn't need to wait so long.

Anyway there's no way to recover it, before with people who offer service to recover your coins because it's scam.

This is what im trying to say because if we do talk decentralized exchange platforms on which this would really be in between users kind of trade where if you do buy or sell orders then cant be sure if those would be automatically be closed up position when a DEX closes or shut down or would really be hanging out on limbo? How you would be able to say on such condition or situation because
we know that once you do put up a certain order then it suddenly closes or shut down then i dont know on what do actually happen.

That's sad to hear, take it as a loss that you can no longer recover. Well, that's pretty much it and you just have to accept that it's gone and will never come back.

I think even if he contacts them, as long as they've got a policy that they've notified everyone to withdraw or cancel or any activity that a user should have done before their shutting down, they can't also probably help.

I don't think anyone can help you, if your money is stuck inside a smart contract and the dex exchange is closed you need to avoid falling victim to a new scam.
Maybe a scammer will come and tell you that he can get your money back and ask you for some money, beware.

Technically the smart contract is still existed on the blockchain, so you can access it directly even if the platform has ceased. The problem arises if the smart contract itself is somehow blocked or limited by the owner, say to scam, so others were not able to access their funds whether directly or indirectly.

I browse around their subreddit and found: Canceled my orders that had 965 ETC in Saturn Network DEX using Web3.js. It leads to this code repository: https://github.com/Kangmo/saturn-cancel-order/tree/main. It is a possibility someone has made a code to reclaim the stuck ETH/tokens on the smart contract that you may want to use.

Bear in mind, I did not thoroughly check it if it truly works or not a scam. So if you did not have any technical background knowledge, I suggest you seek a trusted person/community to take a look at it.

Unfortunately a close platform possibly will impossible to recover funds. Im sure they did announce that they will close it and they have given time to let someone to withdraw of your asset before they officially down the server if not you could file some charges unless they are fully a dex platform without any offices or contacts.

Sure it does. If the code truly works, it should only require a few modifications. That is why I shared it as a starting point for you in the first place. If the OP truly did it successfully, it also means that you also have the chance to recover it.

I also found out that it might seem as their frontend(website/platform) codebase, where you can run on your own computer to access the website. Again, it requires some basic technical knowledge in order to access it from the source code: https://github.com/saturn-network/ring-simple. I suggest you take a look at their README.md explanations.

Dear OP, first of all I'm sorry to hear that. There is no other way than withdrawing your funds from the wallet. Check your smart contract address where your ETH is locked. You can use a blockchain explorer such as Etherscan to look up your wallet address and search for relevant smart contract interactions. Withdraw your funds as soon as possible. You can use a wallet like MyEtherWallet or MetaMask to do this and use phrase or private key to backup. One more, make sure to always save the phrase or private key for your backup wallet.  I think Saturn Protocol is a scam.

You should contact them or at least you contact their telegram team, as far as I know, You can still recover the money from their smart contract manually call by using bscscan.

The team should not be able to withdraw it to unless they put master code in the master contract to do withdraw User deposit
