If people are losing money because they can't follow the dealer's hands efficiently, it's not scam, rather it's part of gambling game. And they are only losing money because they agreed playing the game... I don't think it's a crime.

I have seen this type of event in my community.

Let me try to explain how it works; once they get to their place which is mostly in market places or anywhere that's busy with people the next thing they'll do is to start shuffling cards rounds and then you'll be asked to select a certain card. What's actually happening is that all those that are present at the scene are all together so they'll have to pretend as if they don't know each other and make it seems as if they are just playing normally and also winning and if you are close to them you'll be tempted to give it a try and once you start playing you'll be asked to wager something big to win a more bigger price and once you're done wagering it doesn't matter if you win or not you won't get both the price and your wager back.

As soon as you win they'll start a commotion to disrupt the game and in he midst of that commotion they'll exchange you wager with someone that will immediately leave the scene and once everything settle down your money will be no where to be found. And if you're the persistent type you'll end up being beaten by them.

I haven't experienced it but I have seen it happen live in my community.

What you are talking about in this thread, is traditional gambling. if so, don't be surprised if dishonest gambling practices like this will always exist. so one shouldn't get caught up by the scenarios like you described in this thread. because, modes like this are easy for us to detect. although it still happens in various places, and usually the victim is a person who has no knowledge or minimal experience. they are tempted by the reward, which actually has been set up by the perpetrators. looking for a weak target, as if the victim will get multiple benefits. what an irony, in an era like today if there are still those who are deceived by the mode as you describe.

Actually i do have the same experience wayback when im still on age 11-13 on which i did really go into a carnival and there's someone who do have that kind of game which they would be letting  you a marble be
dropped and if it goes down to the bottom without getting stuck then you would win money but if not then your bet would be lost. They would be giving out that free test out and no matter how many times
you would try and having that assurance that it would really be like easy peazy kind of mindset and feelings on which on the time that you would be putting up some bets then this is the time

Probably, I believe that was the situation in which the game went. Two scammers disguising themselves to play and win deceiving unsuspecting individuals to engage with them. Then they start a game then the player wins at first then again and again and after that, their schemes begin and the player begin to play at loss until the player ends up using all the funds on them to play before they get themselves and realizes they have been scammed but by then, it would be too late for them to withdraw.

I would not call anyone to be weaker than others, just based on the way they gamble or the way the manage their own money. This type of gambling is rampant in my country. And they are set up by a group of unkept criminals whose sole intention is to rip people off their money. They attract people by announcing their big wins so as to gain the attention of passersby. This has been in the internet  for many years that gambling like this in the streets(though they are differently initiated ) there are similar patter and this is to let you win in the  beginning so youll continue playing and that is the start of your burden.
and actually I also find this way in some gambling site , that there are what we called beginners luck? but the truth is they are manipulating the system to make you feel at ease .

Of course gambling is our own choice and we should not be forced by anybody into it. In my country public gambling by unlicensed individuals is not allowed and the police will arrest you very quickly. I have seen such games in the past while on vacation, but always asked myself why would anybody gamble in such a setting? You are obviously getting scammed by some shady people and you should know better than to trust them. Why not gamble in a casino instead where you know at least that the games are fair and not rigged?
