Bitcoin investment, fulltime endeavor or side hustle?

    as a crypto trader sometimes, there's this question that usually comes to my mind and that is if there are people out there who are into Bitcoin investment fulltime and then if crypto currency paid me more than my current job, would I quit my job to go into Bitcoin fully?

So yesterday, as I went out at night to grab some snacks for myself. I bumped into a group of friends who were also into cryptocurrency trading. Then it turned on me that I should drop my question of whether Bitcoin or crypto trading could be a full-time hustle that would continuously put food on our tables in the near future and if they could quit their current jobs going into Bitcoin investment fulltime?Their responses were quit alike saying that
 "to them, Bitcoin would continue to be a side hustle and since the price of cryptocurrency is volatile they could loss the value of their investment at anytime. they also said that they couldn't quit their jobs as that would continue to bring more capital for their investment"

after this encounter, I decided to bring this question too to the Bitcoin community itself so I would hear from other traders like myself. What is your opinion about this would you quit your job and go into Bitcoin investment, considering it as a full-time hustle?

All the investment initiatives can be considered gambling, most people can't get stable income by cryptotrading, that's why most people consider it a side hustle. However, there are some people who either got a large sum after successful investments at the starting point of cryptoindustry (so now their main job is to be rich and chill out, while investing in crypto remains being their side hustle), and also there is a group of people who work as miners/coders for crypto. For them it is the main source of income, not a side initiative.

I want to ask you one thing. In your opinion, having one source of income or two sources of income, which is better? This life always contains surprises, so we always need B plans for it, and having 2 or more sources of income is one of those plans. With a world rife with inflation, and currencies depreciating daily, many people struggle to earn extra income from various jobs. Having 2 income sources is the dream of many people, including me.

As others have also said, bitcoin or crypto is too volatile and very risky. So quitting your job to spend all your time investing in bitcoin is really a bad idea. I completely agree with what those guys have said.

Rich people don't settle in one source of income. They become rich because they have multiple business, multiple investments, and their own jobs. You don't need to settle and work full time on investments or trading if you can work your job fulltime and sideline, investments should be just side hustle.

Never you take BTC investment as a full-time job because, it will make you feel bad when month is coming to an end and the market price is still low for you to earn something, but it will be advisable for you to have it as a side job that will not too border you when the price of BTC continue to decrease than to use the opportunity to buy more of BTC and hold. Leaving your full-time job for BTC investment, is like you are leaving  village to city not know that a day will come that your village will turn to City, so continue doing your full-time job and put BTC investment as a side hustle that will give you something that will increase your wealth in future.

Side hustle, of course. Trading doesn't provide a steady income, and Bitcoin itself is volatile enough to not depend on it without a main source of income. I did manage to earn a decent sum of money while trading, but not all days were pleasant or enough to call it a full-time job—not even close. On top of that, trading is stressful enough by itself to be done full-time. Unless you have a great sum of money that you're willing to put into trading, which means potentially generating greater results, then no, I don't think it's feasible enough to be sustainable.

You need a main source of income in order to support yourself and have some level of security in case anything happens, as cryptocurrencies are volatile and may not always yield the result you're hoping for.

Bitcoin is not recommendable to be a full time job where you are relying for your monthly bills payments. Remember before you could do some investment and trading you would need some money so you could join in the market. Even if you say you earned a lot already in crypto it's still risky to quit your job since crypto are open to volatility's risk.

It will stay as a side hustle where you could earn extra plus if you are working on a company there's a benefit it gives to their employees since it's a centralized unlike Bitcoin. I've read it here that don't always put all eggs in one basket so it wouldn't be a waste when it's gone. It would be better if you have a variety of options for your money source than in just one especially if you could handle more.

You shouldn't have to quit your job to invest or trade in Bitcoin. Along with the job you will have enough time to invest or trade in Bitcoin. You should not quit your job because there is no trust in investing in bitcoins. we cannot confirm that you will only profit from the investment.  Sometimes your bitcoin investment is doing very well if you quit your job at that time then you will not have any problem but when the market condition will be bad then you will face financial problems.
So even considering these things, the decision to leave the job and invest only will not be the right decision.

At a certain age if one cares to sit and reflect, the decision made by a group of friends might not be the best decision for any one individual withing the group.
What am saying is that, if they do work at different jobs and are single or married, it could influence their decision on whether to trade or invest in Bitcoin fulltime or just tag it as side hustle.

I have seen some people who don't have jobs but have stuck to trading and live fine. I have also had colleagues back then with a company I worked with, who traded Bitcoin while keeping a job.
For me, i believe ones success in making anything fulltime hustle or side hustle, boils down to undivided focus. If one has skills that relate to Bitcoin and can do the work and have the patience, of course you can quit your job and focus fulltime on Bitcoin investment and trading if what you earn monthly equals or surpasses your paycheck at a regular job.
It depends on ones decision though.

There are people who makes a living out of cryptoinvestment but will that be enough to consider it as a reliable source of income? I disagree. Bitcoin and this industry in general has high profit potential because of volatile market prices. But that is also the reason why it should not be relied on to sustain daily living. High risk and high reward but people often see the reward alone and not the risk involved. You'd win big time but for sure you'll lose countless times on DCA. And if you would engage with long term investment; prices won't consistently nd continuously increase which means, profit won't be fixed or continuous as well.

Investments are meant to just be an additional income unless you have different investments which would sustain your daily expenses. Investment alone in this industry won't be able to provide you that and if you don't hve other profitable assets in other field, then consider securing a consistent salary to sustain your daily needs.

Definitely not, Bitcoin investment is very risky to put your whole life on it since it’s very volatile unlike jobs that give you a sustainable source of profit by being consistent to your work. There’s no such thing as consistent on Bitcoin or crypto investment in general. You can be quick rich or quick poor based on the outcome of your investment.

Unless you already secured your future funds that will gonna last until you die then this is the best time to do this kind of crazy idea but with moderation.

Why would you sacrifice your stable source of income just to focus on Bitcoin investment while you can do both by doing your work and invest your salary on Bitcoin then just hold.

I would agree to this. Yes, bitcoin investment profits is way bigger compared to what we usually earn from our day job but seeing it’s not consistent and sustainable, then it’s not enough to quit our job and just turn to bitcoin for our main source of income. It will always be a side hustle for me, so that in times of losing, at least my finances will not easily ruined because I still have my own job that gives me fixed amount of income. However, if we can do both to see growth in our finances, that would always be possible. We need to keep our job in order to finance our bitcoin investment or any type of investment that we have desires to enter into.

The advise is always the same: keep working and keep Bitcoin or cryptocurrency trading as a side hustle so that you can add capital to your trading portfolio from your monthly earnings.

Having more sources of income is a great thing.  It will secure our finances and we are able to meet our daily needs and more possibly with an extra left in hand.  If you think you need more time for trading, you can always buy a  trading bot to trade for you while you are in your day job.  Diverse source of income will ensure us of source of fund when one of our sources is not performing well.  So I would advice you @OP to keep your job and save to buy a trading bot so that it will perform the trading for you 24/7.

Right now I have not considered Bitcoin investment as full-time stuff but rather I consider it as a side hustle because I still have a whole other stuff that I'm engaged with that is fetching me some money, however if I should do such in the future , It really depends on the amount of results that I have gotten or will be getting that will determine me giving it more attention and to consider making it in full time endeavor.

Investing in bitcoin completely will not provide stable profits, maybe at this time it will provide more profit than your job salary but sometimes where we will feel a loss and that is something that must be reconsidered, so by leaving the job you are doing and then jumping into bitcoin investment completely or any trade is not a good idea and of course with you working you can still earn a stable salary.

Maybe this word is the most appropriate where bitcoin is only limited to the side as a job that he does in his spare time from work, my assumption will be the same work is important to prioritize while crypto trading and bitcoin investment must be made on the side.

I will not stop working, I will continue to do it or the business that is running, so I will not be full-time in bitcoin, it is only an investment. When there is more money, I will put some in bitcoin as a long-term investment.

That is a very risky decision leaving your job in exchange for your investment. There’s no guarantee that bitcoin investment will give you sustainable amount of income, and it’s not that you will be profitable every time you invest. Remember that there are inevitable losses in any type of investment, most particularly for a highly volatile market that makes the price of bitcoin crash anytime. So it will create a lot of pressures in your part if you focus on bitcoin for survival, at least you have a stable job to give you fixed amount of income and a side hustle that adds more income to your main job.

Interesting thought but that would depend on everyone’s personal choice. Many of us actually into bitcoin due to its freedom, ever growing value and demand makes it more of an investment based asset. We all know how it’s growing since its invention, the growth is literally exponential. Every four year cycle is proof of that.

It has to be full time endeavour for us then only one can make good progress in the portfolio. Yes peeps are making something on short terms as well but not as side hustle. It does take lot of efforts in that as well, so surely not just side hustle.

Yes, it all depends on individual’s choice. We all have different mindset and even personal experience when it comes to bitcoin and our job. Some actually leaves because they have found more opportunities to earn in bitcoin, while some are still hesitant because they don’t have any sources to depend on when their investment ends up as a failure. However, for me, as long as my finances are not yet stable and my earnings are not yet enough to ensure my future, then I would always keep my job and leave bitcoin investment as my side hustle. But for some who already made huge earnings that will ensure the future of their family, I guess there’s no reason to stick to their job.

It’s obvious that two heads are better than one. So if you can be profitable on both, then never compromise your job so you can focus on trading or investing. Bear in mind that the market is unpredictable, so you have to invest or trade with high caution as much as possible, and this will bring too much pressures on you. In order to lessen the risk and pressures you felt, it’s a wise decision to keep your job that gives you consistent profits, and just do investing or trading whenever you have free time after working on your job.

Honestly speaking I was once a full time crypto earner but being in crypto for a long run you would realize a lot of things.
The price of crypto could move in a fast phase that also means your whole life is at risk.
If you couldn't find a good source of income in crypto your investment alone would sink along with your expenses.
That is why it is better to make it as a side hustle than to make it your full time.

No matter how profitable bitcoin is, once it is unstable, it is never considered a full time job.  furthermore, bitcoin investing and trading both carry the same risks as gambling, so I rarely see anyone devote themselves to it full time, and most of them consider it a side job.  it would be best if you didn't quit your outside job to spend all your time on it.  Firstly, it is unstable, and your life will be difficult if you don't make money from it.  Second, your life will come to a standstill if, in the future, it collapses.  never depend on just one thing, life always needs variety.
