Could Litecoin Really Go Parabolic This Summer?

The next Litecoin halving event is coming in August, and that has investors excited about this coin's future upside potential.
  Seemingly out of nowhere, Litecoin (CRYPTO: LTC) is on the move again. The coin is up 13% over the past seven days after significantly underperforming the market for much of the year. Over that same period, both Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) and Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) are basically flat.
What are your thoughts on this litecoin resurgence?

I think with the next halving, the price of the coin will surge for few days initially, but it won't be able to keep up for too long because after some days its value will start going down once again. I even think that with the next halving the price of Litecoin can cross $140 during the halving event, but that's purely my prediction and I won't claim 100% accuracy.

The Litecoin halving doesn't impact the market like Bitcoin halving does, but it can surely impact its own price for a short term and that can be a very attractive opportunity for the investors because it's a proven fact that with halving a price spike is a confirm thing and sometimes that's beyond our predictions.

Even if the price surge won't be too high but still if someone invests in LTC right now will most probably make some good profits with the coins next halving event. The current price $90.94 which isn't high for such a useful coin from any perspective, and the ones who know this will probably find the opportunity to invest in it.

It might get a short term surge but nothing serious. Nobody cares about Litecoin and nobody cares about its halving. It used to be important up until a few years ago but now its a as obsolete as every other altcoin.

2. To answer your question, I doubt it’ll go as parabolic as you think. If you take a look at most alts, you’ll find only very very few had a true, actual, significant parabolic run. Most are going up in tandem although it doesn’t seem like it. Because at first sight $1 to $10 seems less significant than $100 to $1000 although percentage wise it’s the same… the thing is most alts typically go up during bull runs but rarely (most coins never) get to an ATH against their BTC parity.

There are a ton of coins that get a halving every year. Sometimes hype builds up. Sure, Litecoin will have to have a bull run or otherwise mining isn’t worth it anymore. But don’t expect something too wild..

We don't know when Litecoin will surge but it will do definitely as Litecoin halving is coming.

Today price is $91 and I expect to gain x3 from today price. $250 to $300 is very reachable price for Litecoin and those prices are lower than its all time high.

My answer:

Just like with BTC, each consecutive halving has lower fundamential impact on price:

1st halving was important. It reduced monetary inflation from 25% to 12%. Thats a big deal. Second halving decreased monetary inflation from 9% to 4,5%. Now we are getting closer and closer to the 4th halving that will reduce bitcoin monetary inflation from like 1.5% to 0.7%. Both numbers are negligible compared to 8% official CPI in US, 10% in EU or 80% in countries like Turkey. So my bet is that halvings fundamental impact on bitcoin price is getting lower and lower with every next halving in oppose to macro data, FED decisions, interest rates, recessions etc. Bitcoin will be more like an asset that act sometimes like gold on steroids sometimes like sp500 on steroids rather than it will fallow "bubble x days before each halving scheme"

I don't expect any effect on the price. Other factors will play a much more important role, such as the environment (f.e. bear/bull market on bitcoin). Especially since the previous halving did not give much, so unlike bitcoin halvings, there is not even a psychological impact on the price here.

I don't know if I'd say parabolic but it will likely tail bitcoin like it always had.  When bitcoin goes up so does litecoin.  When bitcoin goes down so does litecoin.  So what you really need to ask do you think bitcoin is going to go parabolic.  Then you will find your answer on litecoin.  But in that case why wouldn't you just buy bitcoin to begin with

the only event that i could think of litecoin going parabolic would be the halving but history shows halving isn't as significant as you might think it is.
litecoin halving so far doesn't even create some kind of trend, it's just event that pass and thats it, it's done. no change in value, nothing.

Bitcoin shall go parabolic first and then litecoin. i don't even think litecoin will have parabolic chart if bitcoin is still in the stable rate like this time. If you were putting the main concer to the halving which potentially make litecoin goes parabolic and that's actually very wrong thing at this moment.

Litecoin will not go so high without the help from bitcoin. Bitcoin must be triggering people to buy it as long as the price of bitcoin will be jumping a lot this time.

I personally dont have much hopes for coin like litecoin in which its existence is already too long to be having some rally out of thin air, but then again this still got some good trading volume for reason, so i guess there is always chance of it having some parabolic movement but honestly don't expect too much.

I think I discussed this before in the other threads about Litecoin. I see these moves as nothing but buy the rumor and sell the news. Many think that this halving will be like the Bitcoin halving where it will be bullish but I don’t think it’s the same case here.

It’s risky buying now because there is a good chance that the $100 level might be the top and it’ll head back down for another 4 hours. Don’t want to end up bag holding.

Looks like there is an army of Litecoin supporters coming nowadays , and yes mostly if there is something like this the coin pumped sooner 
well that is based on my observation .
I still have small amount of litecoin in my old wallet so if ever this happens then still I will succeed but of course not to join the party for the big winners.

according to technical analysis Litecoin can indeed make surprises, and even parabolic,
because the price of Litecoin below $ 100 is very unreasonable,

I honestly don't feel that great not being able to buy Litecoin a few weeks back. I really missed out on good buying opportunities. If only I had the extra funds back then, I would have never let such great opportunity to gain good profits slip away. Heck, I would've even set up positions on futures if I had the funds. I am still planning to buy in the coming days when I am able though since there's still a good potential to gain profits, but not as much as I had intended to a few weeks back. Litecoin can increase for a short period of time but then still return to its old position. Although it has a long history, it has become obsolete. An altcoin with outdated technology and increased volatility should also attract a lot of attention from the crypto community. I am watching it move and looking at the history of what has happened, I feel that it, like many other altcoins, is still only reacting gently and following the bitcoin mainstream. But news like this doesn't seem to make much sense as we're still seeing a market that's flooded with gloom and lackluster performance with a high frequency. Anyway, this is an interesting news with the development of litecoin, but in my opinion it is not a reason for people to expect.

If you looked at the last two Litecoin halving the price peaked 2 months before the main event, you need to be careful, I have seen this before buying the rumor, and sell the news, this happens in the last Bitcoin halving also. I personally don't rate Litecoin again it has lost its place in the sun and I don't think there is any development coming out of the chain now that will make people flock back to Litecoin, I may be wrong but I just don't see it for now

really agreed with the buy the rumour and sell the news, usually when the halving occurs the value instead dumping so hard because many already make entry when rumours was still around it's the same case with bitcoin as you said.
moreover the fact that litecoin isn't even a smart contract coin hardly gonna help this coin honestly, with doge it's meme coin, basically out of the ordinary and easily increase when got shilled but lite coin, is entirely different coin with different potential, i'd say, why not invest in bitcoin instead if that's the case now.
after all bitcoin have significantly more potential than litecoin and halving is near too with bitcoin.

I am with you, a quick pump might be seen but that's not really going to pump that much after the halving. People are caring more with Bitcoin halving than of Litecoin halving.

Even the creator knew that if his own coin will have no future. It becomes speculation purpose. i don't see any impact from the litecoin halving. Nothing change at all. People needs bitcoin rather than litecoin. even altcoins were dominating the market right now.

Litecoin has lost its power. There's no further development happens.
