Since nobody owns or controls Bitcoin, I don't think anyone here will trying  to convince you to invest in it. Additionally, since Bitcoin is not a company product with company aims, why should anyone try to convince you to do so?We are advise against persuading anyone to invest in Bitcoin with the intention of making  profit because it nature of volatile.so if your friend tries to convince you by doing so it as mistake, ignore them.Bitcoin has a number of advantages. It is very important that we are able to understand the market and Bitcoin itself as at this time, we already know what is really our main goal in investing in Bitcoin whether it was for a profit generator or just for a currency. Because until now, many people are still confused about what is Bitcoin and so their purpose of being here. But as we can see, though not all, the majority are aiming for a profit and they'll buy despite the high risk because they believe it won't disappoint them in the end. The moment that we have a clear reason why investing in Bitcoin, that would certainly change our insights as well, and never thought about the risk anymore.

I think BTC is useful for long-term investment.

We don't know how long BTC exists, no guarantee about it.
But if we want to invest for the target profits of 4-5 years, Bitcoin is one of the good choices. We can check its price history, it always rises significantly every 4 years (bullrun season).

Putting money in BTC isn't for saving, it is an investment. If you want to have a saving, you can put money in banks or on Gold.

Hmm seems you've already got many reasons given by the community and if you still haven't made up your mind I think then you are not fit for the Bitcoin community. Don't take me wrong as you know Bitcoin is a digital asset and P2P payment mode its the most reliable in the crypto industry it is a potential store of value as well with the highlighted features and investors cant stop themselves from investing In Bitcoin. Why you're not convinced with what your friend said? I think that's more reliable since you know him/her personally rather than asking random people to convince you. Anyway, if you're interested in Bitcoin and just looking for a convincing reason to invest then you can do it yourself through researching. Because what you need to know about Bitcoin is already available online. That's sufficient already for you to decide.

If I were OP, I wouldn't be convinced by anyone's advice either, OP is not wrong to not believe other people's stories and invest blindly. No advice is reliable until we see the results they get and do our own research. But what is to blame is that he did not learn about bitcoin on his own but asked us for advice to make him feel more convinced. This is a waste of both of your time because, as you said, even if his best friend, he doesn't believe them, there's no reason to believe what the stranger says.
