Quoted post date format

Anyone knows how the date format works on quoted post that I want to reply? I always accidentally deleting part of it whenever I’m trimming my post and I can’t revert it back since there’s no undo button on mobile.

This is date=1684862092 the part which I don’t know how this number works to modify the date properly.

I know that simply quoting again the post will make the same date format appear but it’s easier to just type back the missing number if I know how this format works.

Unix epoch time, a.k.a seconds passed since 1 January 1970.

You probably won't know that on your head, so better to just quote it again.

I don't know how likely you are to click the preview button before you start writing, if you do then on the draft page you will find the full quote easily, copy and paste again, it's that simple.

There are a lot of problems using mobile to post on forums so I think you should familiarize yourself with the preview button before posting to get the number without having to switch to another site to get the numbers in the proper date format. It will also save you a lot of time when your post.

Thanks for this info. I tried to experiment on it by altering the numbers manually but I’m always getting a very odd date which is doesn’t make sense to the number or any pattern that will lead me to understanding the format.

Now I can have peace of my mind that this is not an easy fit job.

I’m always using the preview button before I made my post. This is the reason why I can detect the missing number on that date since the bbcode [/quote] is appearing on my preview post.

I just quote again the same post then copy the date format on my original quoted post that I already trim.
