If you already have holdings before the bullrun, much better to just hold until prices decline. Trading might just yield to losses given that market prices are abnormally moving sideways during such trend. The market price won't continuously and consistently move upwards but with high volume. Meaning, after increase, sudden dump will follow before it again increases. Bullrun is often misunderstood; to many people they think that a price of $1 will be 200 in a single snap but in reality it won't. Engaging to trading would put your asset at risk because of high market price volatility and volume. Which I think why holding firm is a more profitable scheme. Indeed trading would generate bigger gains but as well as losses.

Usually, I trade before a bull run market or maybe the market is recovering like it is right now. if I feel that the amount of crypto I hold is sufficient, then I will wait for the bull run to occur. it can give me a sizable advantage.
Besides that, in my opinion trading when the bull run occurs is quite risky. like people who trade bitcoin at ATH, it is quite dangerous, because when the price goes down, he needs to hold for a very long time to get their assets back. however, it seems to do a short is not a problem. it's just that, I prefer to hold when the bull run occurs and wait for a price that makes me happy to sell.

If next year is your first bull run, you should prepare yourself with lots of potential coins you should buy from now on. That's all you can do and I suggest buying more bitcoins because the increase in bitcoin price can be higher than the last ATH. And if you have managed to have more bitcoins, you just need to hold them until the price can break the last ATH. And after that, you can determine when you sell the bitcoins.

I still buy and hold bitcoin as well as altcoins. But I don't trade bitcoins and altcoins as often because I see market conditions are not easy to analyze. So maybe it's better for me to buy and hold onto it for now. But if I can trade my bitcoins and altcoins, I will do it.

It depends on your plan. You can trade if you think it is already worth it or still hold if you have price in mind on when to sell your alts. As for me I have set target price when to take profit so if i'm happy with the result then it's time to sell.

One can always make this on a two dimensional ways, you will invest and diversify, which means don't limited your investment on a single leverage, invest and trade, the difference is just in their duration of holding time.

Every time the market goes up I also take off some of my trading stances to be comfortable with the profits and make money in the meantime. The best thing to do in the bull market is to hold and take profit along the way as the price pumps but this is difficult to do in practice because we want to chase every shining and every pump in the space. I don't advise you to just hold blindly, some people just hold thinking their tokens will continue to pump but those that pump and dump and left, so try to take profit along the way.

Well I ain't going to be happy unless I sell now right? I am planning to just hodl for now. You could try to trade altcoins like Cardano or any topper coins out there, but if you know that it's not working out in your end, that's fine and it's not on you. I had day traded before and that kind of "9-5"-ish trading is just mentally taxing and I don't think I could even last for 5 minutes (that's what she said ) doing the same thing over and over again.
Right now I am a full-time hodler of Bitcoin and happier than even before.

A common reaction when you are seeing your hold assets are pumping, either sell it out even it did not reach yet your target profits, some might

Though for some, it's better to wait since you already hold it for quite some time, better to wait and hold while the pump is still ongoing.

for me trading capital and investment are separated. so the capital to invest and buy coins when experiencing a decline will be different from the postage that is used for daily trading, that way we can control our psychology so that we can be stable and stay focused on our goals. on the other hand the capital for trading is smaller than for investment, considering I am just in the process of learning trading, so as much as possible whatever happens I don't hold on in the long term to trade even though I have to cut losses, because I start instilling in my mind that opportunities will always there, so trading is not just for one transaction

The last few bull runs i have witnessed, I normally set a sell price, when it gets to the price, I will simply take my profit and try to reinvest again.. when you try to hold anything can happen and everything will went down the drain again.

It really happens as we think that it was already an opportunity rather than just missing it. Like what we did last 2017 bull season where most of us are still holding thinking that it continue to pump but unfortunately, the drop comes out with a big surprise and many investors are in regret for not selling their coins while are on the rise. Now, we are considering that situation which is possible to happen and so selling while its pump is on our mind. Whether it was wrong or not, but for me, I'd rather choose to sell rather than regret it later.
