Do you plan on just holding till an amount you are happy with or is it a good idea to try and trade altcoins whilst they are pumping to earn even more?

How can one earn more by trading altcoins when there is a bull run? We all know that the market keeps going up when there is a bull run, so if Bitcoin is going up, altcoins will also go up with it. And even if there is a small drop in between, do you think you can manage to gain profits in that time by selling at the exact point before the dip and then buying the dip? It might sound easy but it isn't.

For someone who isn't much experienced, the best practice is to simply keep holding if you have bought at a very good price, and sell when you feel that it is the best price that you can get for a particular coin or token.

I know most users here cannot hold their horses when bull runs of altcoins are happening right in front of their eyes and I'm also one of them. there's no way I resist when I see the price of altcoins that I'm holding getting the once-in-a-lifetime momentum I've ever witnessed.

It really happens as we think that it was already an opportunity rather than just missing it. Like what we did last 2017 bull season where most of us are still holding thinking that it continue to pump but unfortunately, the drop comes out with a big surprise and many investors are in regret for not selling their coins while are on the rise. Now, we are considering that situation which is possible to happen and so selling while its pump is on our mind. Whether it was wrong or not, but for me, I'd rather choose to sell rather than regret it later.

The decline makes us patient while buying potential coins that can increase later in the bull run and altcoin season. And many people had been selling at peak prices for the last bull run and altcoin season yesterday. But unfortunately, some investors are new to the crypto market, so they bought them at high prices and now have to hold on until the bull run and altcoin season return. It's best not to rush to sell the bitcoins and altcoins that you have because we are still waiting for the moment to come and holding them until then.

Trading altcoins are quite profitable but they are more profitable when you hold them and let other traders do their thing, you will miss important pumps and good rides, not that you will not make gains in trading but they are not as profitable than holding.
Today while reading cointelegraph, a news of an ICO ethereum wallet address moves his ETH that was bought for $1000 now worth $4 million to an exchange, this is what holding can make you, if the owner of that wallet has been trading from that era to now, I don't think he will have such amount in his trading portfolio by now, this is why I think holding anytime, not just in bull run, all the time is more profitable for the long term.

I buy alts in a bear market & offload them in a bull market. I don’t believe in most alts long term, I buy, hold for a while & dump them when I am in a handsome profit. I would never risk selling all my bitcoin incase i got caught fiat bag holding. I am happy to just buy, wait & then dump alts though.

But sad to say that most investors today are easily affected by the changing behavior of the market. Once they saw a few correction they will then in a hurry to dump their coins as they are afraid of losing more. But when the pump comes, they also uploaded their coins too fast as they are afraid that they will miss selling their coins at high prices thinking that it drop again. More on the panic side, that is what happen today and if this situation remains, I'm in doubt if we could still see Bitcoin reaching $100k when investors will not hold their coins too long in their hands but just let it go too quickly.

Don't fall in love with altcoins, when you find an opportunity to sell then do it. I learned my lesson years ago and I regret making a big mistake about all the hype they are doing on Telegram and social media applications that made me fall in love and waited until the value decreased to a rate that is not acceptable anymore. It all turned to dust.
Sell if you have that chance, buy back when another chance comes, and don't regret even if the price goes upward because you already made something out of it and just be thankful for that. Greed will just make us look for more even with our next investments and that won't be a healthy habit. Discipline is a must, make a plan, and follow it.

I think it depends on your risk appetite and your goals. Some people prefer to hold and enjoy the ride, while others like to trade and maximize their profits. There is no right or wrong answer, just do what works for you.

in the bull run, you can easily make money, and also can make profit when trade altcoin,that why many people will trade and take advantage from that situation, but for some people holding is also a great choice.

if you sure you can take advantage of bullrun then i guess trading some of your assets might be a good idea, after all in bull run so many assets tend to increase in term of value.

Hold for unknown time which we didn’t know them about bull market. But durning time good for trade which is enough profits. I see everyday my old holding coin not rising so that’s why i cray now. Right now no any good time for me to sold old altcoins so absolutely hold is now enough.

The history has proven that the long term holders will always be a winner as long as it was legit coin. The problem is there have been many scam coins exist in the market and that makes newbies face difficulty to find which coins will be profitable for long term investment.
As you can see that if this is a huge challenge for anyone in the crypto right now. Hoding is always become a winner in the future. As long as we can wisely choose the right coin to hold.

I learned the hard way from the past bull run I've experienced. I failed to unload majority of my coins that time that some of it makes me hold it until now and some of those coins has little to zero value now because of being insignificant on the current trends. Next bull market, I plan to sell majority of the altcoins I have and also bitcoin with the intention of buying my chosen coins when bear market arrives. With just a little trading during bull market, We can make a good amount of profit and I plan to do it making the next bull market my greatest bull market. Statistics and personal experience show that it is possible to earn more when you do nothing with altcoins and they lie quietly in your wallet. As soon as you start to speculate with them, you start to lose. The fewer trades, the more money, it's a long-established law.

If the bull run happens by next year for me I will trade my alternative crypto currencies if I see it had earned a significant profit, then I will wait again for the market to go down and reinvest again. Holding crypto currencies during bull run i guess is a safer option but of course if we will not trade it during those times we may miss out on potential earnings from trading. It would depend on individuals target goal and risk tolerance if we will hold or trade the coins that we have on our possession.

The best choice is HODL and the best choice is 50% HODL and the rest is in short pattern trading from the results we buy coins, when the price is the cheapest for example. I don't think there's anything wrong with holding altcoins for the long term as long as we invest in altcoins
quality ones such as ethereum, bnb, matic.
