Now that seems to be a pretty unique combination, so I thought that there must be some potential to earn from a Youtube channel. I've dug out my Blue Yeti, and installed Audacity, so I'm hot to trot. Now the big question is how can I earn Bitcoin? I own the website Bitcoin Patron which I have never really used. It seems to me that it is a bit like begging, and I have an aversion to that. However, maybe if I regard it as payment for content production and education, then I can justify it. I also own Bitcoin Uncovered and it is about time I posted somnme basic educational commntent on there. I would be grateful for some comments and reviews when I have done this. Obviously if I am touting for Bitcoin, then I'll need to provide some eduction related to it.

Do you mean earn Bitcoin directly on youtube I don't see that kind of option on payment method. I have a youtube channel that already earning not that huge profit but I’m not focusing anymore on regular videos upload but on the reels.

I suggest that you should focus more on reels since most viewers once a quick and simplified video like the 2 minutes format of Nas daily before. You can create reels about Bitcoin tutorial and mix it with your current living setup. I’m sure many viewers will be interested to your unique reels.

I might have an idea, will PM you about it, nothing solid at the moment, but I've been looking for Bitcoin educators from a diverse range of demographics. Generally, I think there is already a lot of learning content out there, but the gap I feel is in the practical side, showing just how easy it can be for regular people.

Obviously your age appeals to me for that, though even if it weren't true, it doesn't make it less interesting, because your situation and maximalism already do.

Starting any social media page from scratch consumes lots of energy and it's always a hassle to make quick money from the page. I'd suggest that you purchase an already existing youtube page from social media marketplaces and begin your crypto youtube channel journey. The best way to earn bitcoin is to accept donations on the page and also reach out to new cryptocurrency projects that needs exposure on youtube. As for youtube monetization, they don't pay content creators in bitcoin. However, you can also promote your blog on Patreon and drive traffic through there. Create a Patreon account using your domain name as your username, subscribe to a content creator there, normally they'll shout out the username of their subscribers on new videos. You'll get your domain name called out to thousands of people and many would check through your website. In addition, get in touch with the content creators too, for a youtube shout out, that way you'll be getting more viewers on youtube.

I'm aware that there is a lot of educational stuff about Bitcoin, but most of it is a load of claptrap imho. That includes some from people who purport to be senior specialists. For example, very few people understand how a vurtual asset like Bitcoin can also be a hard asset like a house ( which is actually a virtual asset in the UK ). There is also too much emphasis on the technical aspect, and too much repetition of trite comments like "Bitcoin is decentralised". Explanbation of this is frequently ignored. I'm not too hot on the inner wheels and cogs of Bitcoin, but I hope I understand its aerodynamics, safety record, and fuel economy.

I suspect that Youtube will never include Bitcoin in its monetisation, but we can live in hope. One way to gather Bitcoin would be to have a merchandising plan with Bitcoin payments. However, I wonder if there is a danger in the heavy promotiuoin of Bitcoin. Youtube may have a vested interest in minimising its use.

I don't think so. YouTube always pays out in fiat and they are not really friendly to the Cryptos. So that Avenue is not available. There is only one way to receive crypto is through donation if someone is willing to donate for the contents you create.

I knew a website called a-ads which allows you to monetize your blog traffic through crypto related advertising. I am not sure how good are they but worth exploring. If you have a good traffic in your website, start monetizing that.

As far as I know, displayed YouTube videos can get revenue from advertisements that will be played alternately. But not in the form of Bitcoin but Adsense but I don't know. Maybe a new policy from Youtube provides payment options to its members.

Maybe the only thing I think about is government surveillance, especially if your sites can become more popular because they already provide content about Bitcoin. So you must be careful in providing any information because we don't know if you are being watched or still free.

And I haven't even started making my own videos yet. But I have told my sister to try to make some tutorial videos. And you can create educational content to help people looking for information. Once again, happy birthday.

I think there’s someone from the mining board who has a Youtube channel, I’ve watched a couple of videos but I can’t remember the name right now. Unfortunately YouTube doesn’t have bitcoin as a payment option, I doubt they will have one anytime soon. As you know, to be a successful YouTuber, you need to have lots of views, comments, shares and subscribers and that’s hard work. Gone are the days of YouTubers boosting their channels with bots and fake accounts, prospects can now know when a channel has real engagement, so they know which channels will get them the results they need.

The crypto space on YouTube is saturated with lots of “experts” giving advice and tips, I believe people are tired of these content creators and will be very much interested to watch a real bitcoin maximalist give his two cents.

I don't earn in YT and I don't have it. But with what I've seen that's interesting and a lot of people likes to watch are those camper van contents. And while you're showing of some of your daily routine through your van life, you can introduce yourself as a Bitcoin maxi, Jet.

With usual crypto contents that I see, they're posting their addresses for anyone who's interested to donate and support you through sending crypto with what you're doing with your contents. As for me I do not earn bitcoin from YouTube videos maybe I should consider that for my dog channel . But on a serious note, YouTube is one of the go to platforms when I need a video explainer for some bitcoin/ crypto concept. And it has indeed been a lifesaver. When you start though, you can attach your patron link or wallet address. Your views who get value for your contents would definitely love to support your work.

Then it's chat about why I got out of bricks and mortar living, and why I bought an LDV convoy van to convert, rather than a prebuilt motor home. I'll also mention why I believe my 1988 Volvo is better for the planet than a new electric vehicle.

It seems you can pick up a quarter of a million views over a year just by filming a Volvo 740 and talking about it. I suspect that is only if you have an established channel though.

Quite of a good idea right there but you might want to know the requirements before your channel of videos be monetized by youtube in irder for you to earn from it. I have a friend of mine which has a channel and one of his videos quite hit a huge amount of views but still not getting anything from it. However, having an idea of what you would be offering to the audiences is already something.

Going back, as others have mentioned, there's no way you could directly earn Bitcoin from youtube 'coz monetization as far as I know is fiat and usd based. But you may still consider earning fiat from your channel and eventually investing the profit to this technology.

It may not have to be from YouTube aloe that one cab derive a means to earn bitcoin, there are many other platform or channels, as to what i unde most, earning bitcoin is the best way or means to posses it, just as the currency we used in fiat, we have to work out something in other for us to earn it and not that we buy it, the mistake many do make today is that they believe they only have to get money and exchange for bitcoin before they can hodl it, bitcoin is best gotten by earning it from what we provide to others in form of service.

It sounds like a reasonable idea, assuming the USD you earn is being converted into BTC. At least directly from YouTube you can't earn Bitcoin last I checked.

I otherwise think there is still value to come from YouTube videos about Bitcoin, as long as you are avoiding the usual over-saturated topics such as price analysis and general news. I've always thought that more in-depth analysis of Bitcoin technical developments, via github pull requests or similar, would be an interesting thing to hear about. For example Ethereum core devs have zoom calls that are shared via YouTube that are relatively popular for people to follow the development that is currently going on. As far as I know, this isn't available in regards to Bitcoin, most of the tech news comes via Twitter these days (not even here).

That's just a random thought. I don't know if you're much of a techy type in regards to Bitcoin, but I personally think this would be the best angle if you're looking to gain views and followers via YouTube.

I would definitely support if more people who run a yt channel would keep talking about technical aspects and advantages of Bitcoin rather than the same clickbaitish sensationalist crap which unfortunately is also the content this generation seems to favor more.

On top of that, I would love to see you doing this, not only because you are one of the old-time maxis but it would also send a message, look, even seniors can fully understand what others think it's a complex and impossible to master for the average Joe, so it might convince a ton of no sayers that this ain't some thin that needs a college diploma or some millennial vaporware fad.
The only downside is that you will need a bit of promotion to take things off the ground, things that are more flashy, and so on but I think you can do it even without exaggerating, so, give it a try! You have one subscriber for sure here!

It is possible to earn Bitcoin through YouTube channel but not directly.  Since you have websites called Bitcoin Patron and Bitcoin Uncovered you can sell some services here and accept Bitcoin as payment there. here the job of YouTube channel will be to promote your services. But for this you must first need a lot of subscribers on your YouTube channel. But keep in mind that YouTube Authority will never pay you Bitcoins directly for any task. But I still don't understand you being a very old member of this forum. why are you making such a plan and trying to earn Bitcoin from YouTube?

Although the YouTube affiliate program doesn't provide for the ability to pay at bitcoin, nothing prevents you from specifying the BTC-address for donations. I often see this and it seems to me that this is a good solution. Create any content (not necessarily related to btc), gain subscribers, views and this will increase the likelihood that someone will donate to you in bitcoin. I assume that content related to the bitcoin theme will generate more BTC income from donations, since viewers will already be familiar with it. I don't think that if you make children's cartoons, for example, you will get at least one donation from kids.

Don't force donation information on your viewers. It's annoying. Perhaps a good solution would be to make info about this in the form of pop-up windows, but only with good thought and imagining yourself in the place of the viewer.

I'm not very concerned about privacy. I decided very early on that it was best to use the system, rather than try to fight it. My biggest fear is that someone will break into the van, and try to steal some of the contents. This is one reason why I bought a 2005 Convoy with a tatty body. All of my tools were bought from car boots, and I store my cash reserves elsewhere. However, creating videos may draw attention to the equipment I may have in the van. If I'm using the Volvo, then I take most of the kit with me, but potential thieves may noit be aware of that. I guess I will need to install an updated alarm system at some stage.

I added Bitcoin Patron and Bitcoin Uncovered to my Google analytics properties, and it has reported that there are some issues with reading the sites with mobile phones. Both sites were created quickly a few years ago. It looks as if I will have to choose soome responsive templates or add a CMS to the site. Please note I won't use Wordpress for a variety of reasons. These update may have to wait a month or so.

I'll create a few videos later this wekk to experiment with the software. I haven't created any videos for YouTube before, so it will be an interesting experience and learning process. The firsat videos are unlikely to be exciting. I'll probably borrow a dog and take it for a walk. I'll also do a walk round of my Volvo, and later the van when I have cleared it out. It's probably worth doing a general intrioduction to Bitcoin, and I could do that whilst sitting on the beach, or by the lake. I've also got a drone, but I need to get some more experience flying that. I'll try to work out a way to incorporate Bitcoin into some drone footage. Maybe I'll fly to a bright future with a Bitcoin mountain ( I wish ).

The main site  to support my channel will be Offgrid Camper and I have installed Drupal on there. I'm still mulling over the structure I want to use, but one of the advantages of Drupal is that it is extremely flexible, and very easy to make site wide changes without having to rewrite each element.

One of the problems I've encountered as a digital nomad is the blocking of some of my sites on restaurant Wifi, and there seems to be no logic to this. It can also be difficult to maintain a Bitcoin node, as some restaurants restict Internet port access. I could tether a mobile, but I don't think this is a viable method to synchronise the blockchain. I did start a thread about doing this on the Huawei i5 notebook I bought recently. It came with Windows installed, and I plan toi replace that, and I'm considering using Kali Linux. I'll carry on experimenting with video creation under Windows for a couple of weeks, but it is already starting to annoy me with it updates and attempts to control me. I haven't yet checked to see if I can add a second SSD. The i5 version of the Matebook is the lowest spec. and I'm hoping that the haven't economised by blanking the second slot on the motherboard.

Just earn from the Youtube Partner Program or sponsorships/affiliate programs ==> send the money from the bank to an exchange ==> withdraw to your Bitcoin wallet. Nothing really complicated about that.

But it's kinda hard to make it if you are not really known in the wider world. Personally from my experience, if you make a video that manages to consistently gain views, you cut the amount of content you need people can watch before you are eligible for monetization. Not that my Youtube stats are glamorous - there's a lot more to be desired.

Considering your lifestyle and age, I think a style of a life vlog with short videos could be interesting. You're pretty popular here, and I'm sure you have a lot to teach about Bitcoin. If it's taught from a practical approach, an approach of a Bitcoin maximalist rather than just a theorist, it can be pretty good stuff. As for monetization, that's tricky. But the simplest thing is to get YouTube monetization in fiat and convert the funds into BTC, perhaps. I just don't see another way. You can, of course, leave a Bitcoin address in the video description, but that's pretty much it.

I started to think about starting a YouTube channel about a couple of years ago. My idea was to speculate to see if I could win a million to buy some woodland. I wanted to use the channel to discuss speculations where the initial investment was protected, or if there was a loss, there was a reasonable expectation of recovering the loss through associated actions. For example, I looked at scratch cards, and at the time it looked as if there was an expectation to "win" at least 70% of the investment. I thought that I may be able to recover the 30% loss by asking for winnings in commemorative £2 coins, and sell those, and also to build a channel to gain a bit of income. I spent quite a lot of time investigating this, and watching a number of the scratch channels. I didn't ever buy any cards, and I won't now. It looks as if the "winning" expectation is down to about 40%, and a loss of 60% is too much to recover. I bought some premium bonds, and I started a thread about this. You don't lose the principle with this savings bond, and just gamble with the interest. I'm getting impatient now, and I'm considering selling some low value property that I own, and trying to crowd fund a larger woodland area. Many of the people who have embraced the van life are extremely protective of the environment. I suspect they would welcome the chance to relax in a quuiet woodland community.

I haven't found many van dwellers who own Bitcoin, although many of them seem to have heard of it. Most of their information seems to come from the mass media, hearsay, or over-technical YouTube channels that they don't understand.

unfortunately youtube doesn't seem to intend to integrate Bitcoin on their service now or in the future as they are not really keen on it. however regarding the promotion of bitcoin on their platform, that seems to be quite the problem, considering that youtube has already removed 2 major crypto related channels from their platform and monitored the channels posting videos regarding cryptocurrency. they don't seem to like that their platform is filled with excessive promotion of cryptocurrencies and things related to it, so you seem to need to pay attention to this before uploading videos about crypto on Youtube.

My impression for you is that at that age you still keep to yourself a money-making mindset and especially with the cryptocurrency market. I think you deserve the admiration of more people, even some young people like our generation still don't know or have much time for bitcoin.
And with my advice, I don't know how you would do it with youtube, but some of the channels that I followed before, sharing life content or best friends comes with a donation account, hope it's helpful to you.

You can easily get 1k subscribers from bitcointalk users. I thinks thats what youtubers need to start monetising channel. There is no BTC option on youtube though.

If i live in a van, I probably will upload videos of places I once stay like where campers goes. Add more information and interviewing campers as well. Many people are starting to live the same way.

In Youtube you could literally earn a lot depends on the views and  subscribers you have since Youtube can put some ads in any videos that are applicable to put advertisement for sure there's a minimum views and subscribers for you to earn. But if we're talking about the Bitcoin as your reward then it would be impossible. Even in Twitch the donation itself is digital currency like Paypal but it doesn't approved to Bitcoin since people are not still known to complicated system of Bitcoin. But it would be possible if you could actually make your own mode of payment that people could use Bitcoin. But it should be voluntary to use Bitcoin as transactions because so far it would be impossible to happen especially in the Youtube.

I think there is a danger in promoting Bitcoin on YouTube, YouTube is still not friendly to Bitcoin and cryptocurrency and applies strict government policies towards Bitcoin so your channel may be banned especially if you get a lot of popularity and views. I remember that in the recent past they shut down several channels promoting cryptocurrency.

Of course, this will cause the loss of all your efforts, but the worst thing is if there is legal accountability.

I'll carry on experimenting with video creation under Windows for a couple of weeks, but it is already starting to annoy me with it updates and attempts to control me.

So why not try using "Wonderful filmora ver9 or 12", a very easy to use & simple window editing software that is best for editing YouTube videos, because that was the video editing software I used when I started my YouTube channel far back in 2020, and I felt very okay as the software is user friendly compared to Adobe Pro. Or likewise consider using OpenShot which is similar to Wonderful filmora.

As of earning Bitcoin from a Youtube channel, I really don't think this will be possible because of its anonymous nature it has. Besides , with youtube content curators coming from all corners of the world being guided by different monetary policies and regulation,  I think they (youtube) wouldn't want to be in the wrong books with any nation and will stick to bank transfers and the alike to pay its monetized channel  curators.

To earn bitcoin through youtube is something I don't know the way about, I think that it will be very difficult to earn bitcoin from any other social media including Facebook and Instagram, what I know from YouTube is that pay people on their channel due to the numbers of videos they make in online, so therefore I believe that online payment through youtube comes with dollars not with bitcoin. Well, I would guess that you could basically just earn money from youtube and turn that into bitcoin? That seems like a thing people could have done for many years now and doesn't seem like a new thing. In the end there are ways people are trying to earn bitcoin in all kinds of different methods and I do not think that we need all that.

We can earn regular fiat if we want to and then turn that fiat into crypto and that way we would be having crypto instead of fiat. Why try to make bitcoin right away if you can't, no need to do that. Same goes for people who use patreon, they have been calling for a crypto payment for years but that part is legally tough and in order to do that you need to make sure that you are just getting fiat from patreon and then turn that into bitcoin.

I'm coming up to my 81st birthday, I'm living in a van, and I'm a Bitcoin maximalist. Now that seems to be a pretty unique combination, so I thought that there must be some potential to earn from a Youtube channel. I've dug out my Blue Yeti, and installed Audacity, so I'm hot to trot. Now the big question is how can I earn Bitcoin? I own the website Bitcoin Patron which I have never really used. It seems to me that it is a bit like begging, and I have an aversion to that. However, maybe if I regard it as payment for content production and education, then I can justify it. I also own Bitcoin Uncovered and it is about time I posted somnme basic educational commntent on there. I would be grateful for some comments and reviews when I have done this. Obviously if I am touting for Bitcoin, then I'll need to provide some eduction related to it.

Nope, not me but, I like the idea of the humble beginning for which you have begone. It's a good idea for some users who have been around in this place and have bulk of knowledge to at least pass the right message be at some of these used frontiers in the likes of YouTubes and other social media, spreading the right message to weary eyes and ears.

Some of the best ways in which owners of channels get to earn on YouTube is by affiliations, ads and grants from those whom wish the channel to grow. You focus would be on growing your channels and even get to organise online live teaching sessions to better help your viewers. When the channel has got enough subscribers,  you could have means to some cool coins.

The crypto niche on Youtube seems relatively small. Most crypto related Youtube channels have several thousand views per video, which is small amount by the Youtube standards and I guess that they cannot be properly monetized. I wouldn't feel comfortable begging crypto enthusiasts for crypto donations, but you can do this, if you want to.
I don't think that a 81 year old man would attract a big audience on Youtube(or social media in general). Nowadays, everything on social media is about young hot girls. It's way easier for a young and hot girl to grow a following on social media.

Indeed it is a waste of time, if only youtuber can create a really unique content. And even then, the earning will be not directly from youtube, but from using youtube as a intermediary between viewer and the product that is used in video description (referral link, link to merch store and etc). I dont think that youtubers earn a lot directly from video views. I would also point that cryptocurrency is a complicated and serious topic for discussion, while most come to youtube in search for entertainment and relax. What I mean is that educational and explanation video about crypto will get far less views than a video of funny cats.

Well one of the things about being over 80 is that I've been around for a while. I started on "computers" with an IBM 421, and punched cards and plugboards. I moved on to programming an IBM 1401, and then spent many years as a systems prommer on IBM 360 computers, and part of the time was for the London Stock Exchange during the big bang. I'm way behind on the inner working of Bitcoin, but I think I have an unusual over view and appreciation of Bitcoin as it fits into the world economy. I suspect comments on this may get a few views, especially from those viewers who shut off when the see over technical videos from people who don't really seem to understand the magic of Bitcoin, but just trot out the standard lines about permissionless, and decentralised etc. The commednts in this thtread have reinforced my opinion that one has to be circumspect when discussing Bitcoin on YouTube, especially when comparing it to CBDCs. I'm a bit diredt, so I can see me getting into trouble with  this, especially if I start talking about the fake vaccines as well.

Yesterday I helped an elderly friend and his neighbour sort out their gardens. Gardens is perhaps misleading, as they both have over 2 acres. My help was really just collecting a load of scrap metal, and some vintage garden tools, and bits from the garage. If I had thought about it, I could have filmed that, as salvage hunter videos seem to get a few thousand fews on YouTube. One of the things I collected was a hedge trimmer on a stick, and the motor looks to be in good condition. Restoring that is probably worth a video, although a long reach hedge trimmer may not be top of the essential tools list for a van dweller. I also picked up a couple of vintage Volvo bits, as my friend had an estate Volvo many years ago. One is the retractable cover to conceal items behind the rear seat, and that is in good condition. They seem to be selling for £40+ on Ebay. The other is a wire mesh dog guard, but that has a lot of surface rust. I might throw that up on Ebay for auction, as it is probably a rare item. I've also started another web site - Save old cars , and I am concerned that I may be trying to do too many things contemporaneously.

With regard to monetisation, cars and financial videos seem to attract higher paying adverts. Health is another one, but I will need to be careful with that, as I am opposed to the poisons of big pharma, and the SAD ( standard American diet).
