is KYC data on Gambling sites safe?

No KYC doesn't mean you are secured, there could be a chance they will just get out and leave you hanging especially if you are depositing or withdrawing such large amounts. I'd rather pick the KYC-mandated online gambling site over a non-KYC as long as it's a reputable gambling site. i.e. Stake.com, Sportsbet.io. These two big companies have the lowest chance to misuse your information because it will be against the law unless their website is hacked which I doubt can happen easily due to their security.
Just think about how much you will be losing if you force yourself into looking for a gambling site without any information needed to start. I'd rather take the rough path. I do respect those who are trying to be anonymous for their own security but I do find that most reasons for not filling up this information are because either they will be doing illegal things or they are not at the right age to gamble.
KYC is for the security of both parties, let's keep it clean so they can continue their business and we can continue enjoying the perks of betting in the comfort of our own home.

I don't mind KYC for the casino. although I also often try new casinos for several events. but we must try to be careful in choosing a casino. Not all casinos mean well. some are stealing money from their players. So choose a casino that has a good reputation for you to play at. it doesn't matter if KYC is requested, for withdrawals or for all members who play at the casino. as long as there is no data abuse from the casino.

I would not mind to summit personal information if the casino or platform in general happens to be a reliable and time tested one.
Granted, there are supposed to be options for those who do not want to make their information available for casino operators, so I am the kind of person who wants as many option as possible to meet a people's needs.

Now there are several gambling sites that do not require Kyc to withdraw funds. That's good news. But I don't know if big money withdrawal need Kyc or not. I've never withdrawn much money.

Some gambling sites do it illegally. If someone does not agree to carry out KYC then they should be able to give them back their money and close the account rather than force them to KYC.

I'm the type of gambler that would prefer to refuse KYC unless there's a lot of money involved because i've had a bad KYC experience unrelated to gambling, and I assume the experience isn't different with gambling sites. There's no way to tell if they're safe, but we can only hope they are stored somewhere safe because I remember when there was a gambling site back then that leaked the credit card information of their players. It's better to avoid KYC when possible, but I would be willing to do it once if I see a gambling site worth signing up for.

You have it right. A rating of 5 means that KYC is mandatory. A rating of 1 means that the casino will leave you alone unless you use more than one account. A ranking of 3 means that there is a chance of KYC even if you haven't used more than one account. It can also be for a small amount.

it has been tackled many times before about the data is being sold to 3rd party users in which majority is scammers or hackers because who is in the right mind and plans that wanted to purchase data if will not use in other side things?
what we only need to do is play in casinos that has been proven to be legit and also those who wanted to be safer then play in Non KYC sites.

I am sure that all gamblers would prefer not to do KYC because everyone feels the need to properly protect their personal data, one of which is by not exposing it to the internet because when the data is exposed it is very possible for other parties to misuse it even though the platform was initially trusted, but because when it's almost impossible to find a casino without KYC so whether we like it or not we have to do it and as long as the KYC rules are listed in the terms and conditions of the casino then it shouldn't raise objections from players but if it's never listed and suddenly players are required to KYC because there is Suspicion is something that shouldn't happen, especially if we as players have never cheated.

Yeah I did and because the money I was stuck with was an amount I couldn't afford to lose, so I was forced to do it and chose never to return to the casino, because the reasons are baseless and I didn't do what the casino accused me of, but if cheated means that my data has become scattered, I don't know about it so far.

Overall not secure (honestly speaking), and there are some casinos based on how long they've been in business that are able to absorb the trust of users whether they implemented KYC from the beginning or only recently. Some gamblers would not be deterred by the new rules if they had been regulars at the casino for a long time.

Who knows. I handle data within my company and I know myself that it isn't 100 safe from being exposed, I reckon gambling companies are the same as well. I've rarely played on casinos nowadays but back then I really didn't mind KYC, I don't think I still do really (If preferable then no kyc ofc). I've never felt cheated though.

That dosnt mean I don't care though. Is why I mostly play on casinos that are well known. Their rep is pretty much the only basis I can use after all.

As much as possible I don't want to gamble on casino that requiring their players to abide on kyc procedure. But if really necessary, let's say you have huge winnings and kyc is needed then I have no choice. However, it depends on the gambler itself if he will risk his/her personal information to withdraw the money. Nowadays kyc is common for casinos to ask their gamblers especially if the platform is regulated since they're just abiding the law to operate legally. If you're not comfortable with this, there's still option since there are casinos existing without kyc requirement.

You have experience working with data. Is there no abuse committed by the company? If the insecurity comes from outsiders, I don't think it's the company's fault. Anyone can be attacked by outsiders, but if a company is committed to protecting user data, that looks good.

Maybe many people don't like kyc, but nothing can be done. Since Kyc applies to crypto exchanges and ICOs, everything needs kyc

Casinos that have been in the gambling industry for long understand the importance of keeping customer details very safe, and although we cannot claim that they are 100% safe, we know that they will do a better job keeping your details safer than newer casino's with management that have no experience in the gambling industry and the risk with gathering customer details. Your data is important, hence the need to not be careless with it on every casino that demands it.

You will easily find many crypto exchange services that don't require KYC verification from their users than crypto gambling platforms because online casinos are regulated and they are given the free pass to run their business by the government, KYC can't be avoided and if your favorite gambling platform is telling you that they don't need KYC verification then you should be smart enough to understand that the casino is not regulated, they can seize to exist some day when the government hunt them down.

If you provide KYC on a gambling platform site that doesn't have a reputation, let alone marked as fraud, of course it will be very worrying if you give your documents to them, fraudsters will be happy to sell your information data to third parties, but you will be safe if you give KYC to big gambling platform sites that have a high reputation let alone those in this forum.

Make sure to always research gambling platform sites before playing because as long as you don't provide documents on a new site or strange site all documents will be safe, believe me because so far I have never had a problem giving my KYC on a gambling platform site.

Till this time I'm still one of those gamblers who do not want to fulfil KYC requirement in online casinos. Not because I do against KYC but it is about personal preferences. I was asked to fulfil KYC in 1-2 casinos in the past just to withdraw 1-2 hundred dollars but I refused it since it does not worth the risk for me. I'll do KYC if the reason is worth enough for me,  maybe if I win a huge amount of money.

As you already know therea are so many reasons why a casino has choossen to implement KYC into their casino ranging from know the customer the are dealing with to the age, source of income, country he/she is from to if they have ever broken a rule before using another account or if the are currently playing against any laid down rule i.e for casino that don't allow multi accounts.
For me I have reduced the amount of casino I have completed KYC for, that way I won't have to worry about my details being stolen or something else happening to the infomation I gave that certain gambling site. Although sometimes we are forced to submit KYC even when we never had it in our mind to do so, like when the site suspects us of using/doing some illicit activity t ocheat them they suddenly request for our details.

If you're not too comfortable with giving out your details to casinos then just look for one reputable casino and stick to it, don't ever try out another one incase anything happens you'll know whom to blame. And also keep in mind that no site is safe.

It will still be at risk if you submit KYC in reputed casinos as well. Well, the concern will be lot less but yeah it will be there. Just because a site is reputed you don't know how they will be actually handling and storing your documents. Yeah much likely they won't indulge in selling the data but someone might attack where they are storing the KYC data and steal them.

Make sure to always research gambling platform sites before playing because as long as you don't provide documents on a new site or strange site all documents will be safe, believe me because so far I have never had a problem giving my KYC on a gambling platform site.

One always should search about the casino they are about to play in but that doesn't gives much idea on how your KYC data is being handled (well none does) but with reputed sites at least you can stop worrying about data selling practices.
