There are lot of scamming interfere problem in twitter media. When i open my twitter account then Let's what see lot of airdrop with million rewords pool. So it is very important to avoid it otherwise your personal wallet can be hacked. Many people want increase followers and take money by scam so that’s why they would make it.

Now that's very very terrible and heart breaking. It is really not a pleasant experience having to fall for such a scam when you thought you are dealing genuine people.
I used to think this kind of scam usually occur on telegram, now they have migrated to Twitter and are seriously defrauding unsuspecting victim

It's unfortunate that scammers take advantage of people's desire to make quick profits in the crypto space. Greed and the promise of easy money can blind individuals to the risks involved and leave them vulnerable to fraud. New entrants into the crypto space must understand that legitimate investments take time and thorough research. So education and awareness are key to protecting yourself from scams. Newcomers should take the time to learn about cryptocurrency basics, blockchain technology, and investment strategies. Furthermore, be cautious and skeptical when it comes to investment opportunities, especially on social media platforms. This will prevent you from ever investing more than you can afford to lose.

A few days ago, I saw a KOL with a large number of fans on Twitter. He was recommending a project recommended by many KOLs. As long as he followed his guidelines, he could get more airdrop tokens. As a result, when I clicked on the link, connect When my little fox wallet is signed and confirmed, my assets will be reset to zero. I checked the data on the chain, and in a short period of time, he actually defrauded more than 20,000 US dollars in digital currency, which is terrible.
This is one of the main primary rule here on crypto space when it comes to security on which you shouldnt click any random links online if you dont like on getting wrecked. Never ever making some confirmation and signed messages whenever it do really ask out whether you do have that fox wallet or metamask wallet or whatever wallet you do have because once you do that then say goodbye into your assets.
This what makes people do really realize when its too late. Never make yourself get blinded on whatever airdrops you are dealing off with in the market. If you are really that eager for some airdrop then
it would be always be making that a new wallet so that you wouldnt really be risking your entire balance or assets on such wallet if ever things turns out on having a problem.
People should really be that sensible when it comes into their actions and decisions.

Even old dogs like me have been scammed like this, and i am shamed to say recently. Not trough Twitter (because i don't trust anyone in twitter). But trough a bounty group i trusted (that's still active). I thought that they picked quality projects and had done their research so i wouldn't have to but it turned out they promoted just anyone who paid.

I didn't lose much but i was amazed that i still after all these years fell into that without thinking twice.

But just as a rule of thumb, don't click anything in telegram or twitter. They are just full of bots and spammers, and now with ton of verified fake accounts.

Scammers are using click baits as there are many naive users out there.
If it is too-good-to-be-true, doubt the motive of the airdrop.
Also, if in case you will participate, connect a new wallet that has nothing in it to test first.
As fraudsters don't care whether they will exhaust your funds or not, better secure your wallet first.
Right now, scammers are using social media platforms as there are so many gullible users who are after for get-rich-quick investments.

That is why we should have to be more cautious when it comes to investing online and most especially if we are about to click some links that we need to log in our passwords/usernames. In fact, this is not a new strategy of scammers but if you are a greedy person, you'd still fall into them which is why, despite the awareness we brought in here and even outside the forum, still a lot of people got tricked and scammers still continue doing this for they know that there are a lot of greedy individuals that can be their victim.

Why do people still continue to believe people over the internet.  Never click links from someone you don't know including someone who is "popular".  Interneting 101 people.  All for air drops?  I'm sorry you lost money but never believe anyone you unfortunately had to learn the hard way.

This is the main reason why I don't want to link my wallet to an unknown third-party platform especially a third-party platform that has no audit certificate, I do not know how to read the code of their smart contract so people like me all newbies can be deceived to link their profit for rewards and profit promised by these third party platforms.
People who are active in airdrops should be good at looking for all the signs that the platform is a dubious one or you will lose all your coins.

This is the sad reality, many already aware of this and still ignore it just for the sake of quick profit. Many are victim of these fake links, and for sure many will still fall. If you want to be more safe then better no to trust any links at all and do your necessary action before investing or downloading any files. Twitter is full of hackers and scammers, you have to double check always or else you will become a victim too.

This is true not only for Twitter, but for almost all social media platforms. Especially on Facebook, there are too many scam ads. Moreover, these ads are given directly to Facebook and are shown as sponsor ads. More so, it says that this amount of rewards or this exchange gives this award to new members via exchange platforms, please log in and check it immediately. As soon as you enter your email and password, your information is stolen. Definitely check the ads you open. It's good to be careful.

i couldnt sweat the fact that there are so many people out there getting scammed by some malicious contract that actually drain their wallet, it's really unfortunate though and I wonder how the devs keeping their smart contract from inspection from the masses.
after all such malicious contract should actually be detected easily by many.
but nowadays those scammers always use some kind of airdrop or minting to attract many attention and uses their platform.
i guess it's due to the fact that many are so hasty in making decision when it comes to such thing and couldn't think straight that maybe their assets are in risk of losing and getting drained by some scams.
good thing that nowadays already put some alert beforehand in their platform.

This is the case during the era of Elon Musk because there is no oversight of scammers to prevent them or legalize their backs. Suppose you see an account for a legit project that you follow. In that case, you will find thousands of fake accounts that impersonate the name of this project’s account and its logo, put the blue check mark, and publish illegal links to similar scam domains for the official project domain. Now, scammers take advantage of any popular trend on Twitter related to a currency or a specific project. They quickly put popular hashtags in their tweets and publish malicious links to trap victims, so Twitter has become a suitable space for scams. Their tweets are promoted in these trends like wildfire. Thousands of people lost their funds because of one mistake: not focusing before opening the link, connecting the main wallet, and giving approval of permissions to their wallet for this scam domain.

Twitter has become the new players where scammers are massively scamming others. I don't even know what metrics used by twitter but so many scam accounts are exist right now. It was making the situation even worst from time to the time with so many scammers being scammed through connecting their wallet through scam site that used by scammer to steal money. Never click any link being promoted in twitter. It's all scam without official confirmation.

That is the reason that you shouldn't base your decision through influencers and anyone randomly.

You also don't sign or connect your wallets to random links that they'll give you or else you'll be at loss and will regret that move. You can connect your wallet if you insist but make sure that it contains nothing.

Make a new wallet for testing if you want to take part of these airdrops so that you've got nothing to lose if you truly insist and want to test them out.

Trust nobody.

If you were to ask me, I would call Elon Musk one of the worst KOL since Steve Jobs. He promotes pump and dump coins like DOGE and as he is invested in DOGE, he is effectively market manipulating at this point, is he not?  How can you trust someone like that? What is the probability that his half baked hypes like exploding rockets and electrical cars, which catch fire for no reason. I have never really understood why anyone with a brain would support Elon Musk. All he has been doing on social media is stroking his own giant ego.

OP this is why it is important to keep yourself up to date with the methods used by scammers to get to our coins, this kind of scam has been around for some time and anyone that has read about it will never accept such a proposition as they will immediately realize what is going on.

With that said you need you rethink your strategy on this market, as the altcoin market is full of scammers, so this is something that not only happens on Twitter, it also happens on Telegram, Facebook and all social media websites, so you better learn how to distinguish those scams or this will keep happening to you.

Yes this has been happening for years even before Elon. Elon said he would fix it and maybe he tried something but a couple months later it’s the same scam spams going around.

I heard from tweet owners that they report those tweets and many times they don’t get removed or they get removed way too late.

Great, another reason for us not to trust any Twitter links or maybe anything that is getting published on the internet - blindly Nonetheless, this has been the story for many years now and definitely it will go way further in the future until million more are frauded with money. First, all of them started with open ICO contracts to the users. Literally, it was open, and public, everyone knew about these papers and projected roadmap. However, there was no real answer until we jumped in, got our coins at pre-sale, and after months of waiting we used to found that the projects had gone scam.

Now, this is advancing with all the airdrops, fake links, phishing sites, telegram scams, and whatever you could think about as scam attacks. There is also high growth of email-based scamming.

Most of it is related to the Alts, so stay safe guys. Watch out for scam, publish it here and make everyone aware about it.

First, I don't use the Twitter platform very often, because as far as I know, most of them are scammers like telegram apps. Social media platforms are really his target because most of the communities there are not aware of phishing links that are often used by scammers.

Also, I stopped using it when I heard that there will be a monthly payment for using Twitter apps, so I lost the desire to post on that platform, to be honest.
