Hello, I have big glitch in my bitcoin wallet. I sent a transaction, and after 24 hours it still says "This payment has not been transmitted yet" and I can't spend any of the amount I have (equivalent to $22.57).
Sorry if the question was asked in the past.

How do I solve this?
Thank you!

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Based from its absolute fee of 460satoshi and the average transaction size (since yours isn't displayed),
your transaction must have been dropped from the majority of the node and your wallet's server's mempool.

You can "rebroadcast" or "delete" it depending on your choice or if it's available in the wallet's option (check the transaction's menu).
The former will resend the transaction as it is but you can only do that once its fee rate is enough to be included to the bottom of the mempools.
The latter will remove the transaction from your history so you can resend another one. (but only if an option like that is available in your wallet)

Thank you, nc50lc, for your complex answer.

Update: After more than 24 hours, everything works fine. The payment was transmitted, the transaction isn't invalid anymore and now I can spend my amount.

For everyone having this error, just wait (even a lot of hours) until everything solves itself.

Uhm, but you just posted it.

Anyways, the wallet must have an auto re-broadcast feature since it's "transmitted" by itself without your intervention.

Update: After more than 24 hours, everything works fine.
For next time: you should avoid paying very small amounts of Bitcoin on-chain. Your screenshot shows about $1 (0.00003730BTC), which isn't worth the fee and the receiver can't even spend it. For small amounts, I use LN or even low-fee altcoins whenever possible.

Good to know. I believe that if I want to use LN, the receiver must have LN too, the same thing about altcoins. Do you recommend any specific (valueble) altcoins for this?

Correct. The receiver must (of course) accept it. Depending on what you're paying for, you could suggest it. There's not really a point in "earning" a dollar worth of Bitcoin with current fees.

It doesn't really matter which one you use, as long as the service accepts it. Most accept at least a few different altcoins. I prefer to stay away from the hype coins, LTC for instance works fine for this.

When you're picking an altcoin with low transaction fees, go for the stable and less crazy ones instead of just focusing on being "valuable." You want a cryptocurrency that doesn't have big price swings all the time. That way, your transactions will be more consistent and predictable. So, if you're looking for a reliable option with relatively low fees, Litecoin is definitely worth considering. Due to its popularity and established reputation, Litecoin is supported by a wide range of platforms, wallets, exchanges, and payment processors.

I use bitcoin for donations (I'd use it for purchases too if I could find shops accepting it) and after a big sum received they will transfer the money, so every dollar counts! So  both of you recommend Litecoin, I will still use bitcoin because I want to support the Bitcoin ecosystem but it's a thing to consider, thanks!

I don't have anything against using Bitcoin for everyday transactions since that's its intended purpose. Personally, I rely on it for some of my regular payments. However, I make an effort to choose moments when the network congestion is low to avoid high fees. As you said, every bit counts, particularly when it comes to donations. And, as you experienced yourself, Bitcoin may not be the most ideal solution for small transactions. Unless, of course, you consider switching to Lightning Network transactions.

Lightning network can be a great option and one of the greatest solutions to reduce fees in some special cases.
Let's face the truth, LN is not an option when we already have a stuck transaction, it's also not an option when someone wants to make a single transaction or wants to make transactions from time to time to different recipients.

I think you're missing the point: if you send 0.00003730BTC to a legacy address (1Archive....), it doesn't count! Bitcoin Core's current estimate for a confirmation within 7 days is 15.943 sat/vbyte. That means, to be confirmed within a week, each legacy input adds at least 0.00002519BTC in fees when the receiver spends the money. So your dollar doesn't count, twothirds of it is lost by the receiver.
Of course, it is possible for the receiver to keep low inputs and only consolidate them when fees are low again, but their wallet may not be that smart and I've seen many transactions that pay more in fees than some of the inputs are worth. So chances are your donation is lost entirely.

I will be looking to see who's accepting bitcoin in LN.
LoyceV, I didn't know that algorithm. I think I will donate 6$ twice a year.

That's better than $1 monthsly Smiley

The Internet Archive has weird choices for crypto donations: Bitcoin, Etherium, Filecoin (what's that?), Ripple (low fee so I get it) and Zcash.

Because they have donated 50k Filecoin to The Internet Archive which was valued at $11.8 million dollar at that time. Don't you think they should add Filecoin? Kidding, I don't know when they listed Filecoin there but I believe the donation part was something to do. Otherwise, there would be a few more popular altcoins there, at least I expect LTC everywhere.

Edit- I just learned that both internet archive and Filecoin is working on the same goal almost.
