Sweden has declared sex as a sport, and is set to launch its first tournament tagged "European sex Championship" on the 8th day of June, 2023, this means it's about 4 days left until the tournament begin?

This is not a sport and should not be considered one. I wish it could be prohibited right now. This is a blatant disregard for morality and manners in society. This is completely ridiculous. This will only increase pornography and immorality among children, particularly those in their formative years. I'm not sure what the innovators hope to gain from this, but it makes no sense.

No, part of me wants it to be true, it ain't a sport in the first place. Although you are right, anything is possible these days but I am still hoping that the government agencies will first look at the activities that will claim they are a sport especially those who focus on this area.
It may be fake but because of that false information, but after that news made the trend it gives some ideas to other people to maybe try it.
I bet in the next few years there will be groups that will pass an application to make that happen, make sex a sport. This is a crazy world today and pre-marital sex had become the norm. Thoughts like, "If you are a virgin, then you are a freak."

We live on a world on which everything could really be done as long it would be supported and have that financial support or whatsoever connected to it on which it would really be that possibly to happen. Lots of people who are really that against with this idea but there are ones who do really love to see this as this one would really act out as pornography rather than on being a sport.
In any angle, i dont really see on how it would be applied and on what are the criterias on considering to call as a winner. Its not really that something which is applicable and just like the rest

It is not only how casinos would manage to offer this kind of sport event, in the case people actually demands it, but I am not even sure how this is supposed to be broadcast and when it is supposed to be broadcast.

We cannot compare this to a baseball match or a Football championship which one can enjoy openly with other people and even children around. If this even gets broadcast on TV or streaming on internet it would be in very restricted hours or conditions. Pay per view, or something.

I have read today's news and indeed this is a news that is always brought up by other media so there is no competition on 8th june or today and all that is fake.

In an article, there is the Sex Federation in Sweden which proposed this sport but the results were rejected because maybe considering it would be controversial if approved, but this has not been officially confirmed by Sweden.
I suspect that this will never happen even though for example there will be another proposal submitted so we will remain calm that this is not a sporting event.

Yes, I also realized it was likely some fake news after taking a look on Deutsche Welle website. Either way, we are living through crazy and very strange times when we could see something like this happening and the fact it was a proposal it could be a hint that, in the future, people will become so open on sexual matters that they would welcome such kind of events.

Not only is it detrimental to the value of the sport but it will also damage the younger generation, who might even watch such a public sex show if the show is truly accessible to all without filters. After all, sex is the most private thing for two people and should not be shown publicly. Sex isn't a sport, sex is a recreational activity that was given to use by our creators and we have to stop disrespecting it. Sex has lost its meaning if the government are allowing this. What are they trying to achieve, because this would have many negative effects than positive.

Well, it's probably not considered humiliating for some regions and their culture and only such regions will promote something like this, a thing that must be kept personal since it is not something to be performed publicly and is going to be used as a sport which the whole world will be able to watch and even bet on, that is truly something a person cannot even imagine normally.

This might create some interest in some parts of the world but on the other side, it will also create problems because of the religious beliefs of people from different religions, like Muslims, they would never want something like this to happen because it is against their religion.

Idk what their metrics and guidelines in scoring would be, and even if they come up with one, how sure are we that it's something that can be standardized anyway? It's a futile effort to push sex as a sport, or even think about gambling with it.

When i saw the post, initially thought it was a joke but on searching the metric for judging is really funny. Yes I will bet but I don't see the possibilities  of this games being listed anytime soon and I was even shocked when I came across this news because I initially never imagined Sweden will do such but unfortunately I was wrong this time and Sweden already made sex registered  and I watched the preview  and I couldn't stop laughing because it was just unimaginable.

If ever this one had been pushed through or legalized then it would really be just that good into those places on which it isnt really that conservative.We know that there are certain places on the world on which

There were rumours that this isn't happening, but no official announcement whether this gonna take place or not. Based on the latest news, even the representative from different countries were listed and few have withdrawn due to health reasons. The proposal to add it as a sport have got rejected. However the person who had come forward with the plan have decided to organise starting June 8, already few categories might've got over

Yeah, I am personally glad that there are snippets available already for the world, I tried searching to see if I could find one to watch but arrived at nothing other than the news itself, I am happy to learn that the whole thing isn't just as we all imagined it to be, It would be really interesting if indeed they do it in a way it does not raise concerns and agitations around the world which could lead to petitions and protest, and also, the better the whole idea appears, the more possible other countries may likely adopt the sports and maybe we will get to see it listed on the gambling casinos soon for gamblers to bet.
