If a person gamble and at the end of the game he starts to feel remorse is that a good thing or should the person be on alert?

I experienced this many times in the past I still experience but I tried to minimize getting affected by my gambling experience, gambling is for entertainment and should be fun, but we are all just humans we get excited, we sometimes chase our losses, and sometimes our expectations failed us, so we feel remorseful.

This is normal but the most important thing is you manage to weed out your remorse and you must not let it linger in your mind because it's harmful and causes depression in the long run.

I'm trying to understand what you said in this thread, because you didn't say in detail what you meant in this thread. however, I will speak generally. is normal, if we feel like you wrote in the title of this thread. however, there are always several factors that cause or trigger it. each case, will be different. It could be because you chose the wrong bet, or you placed the wrong bet amount. or, there are also many other causes that make us regret after gambling. in most cases, it usually happens to gamblers who are on a losing streak. therefore, after they lose the gambling session the regret comes because the money we bet is gone. especially if the money at stake, is money that comes from loans.

So, the question is, what makes you regret after gambling, do you feel that you have lost a lot of money in betting. or, you really can't gamble and then you regret it. This question is relatively complex, according to the situation you are facing. for us, it is commonplace. because psychologically, people are often provoked by their emotions and regret what they have done. after normalcy, everything is back to normal.

Remorse that he has gambled? It's like having that guilty thought that he should gambled because he's losing, I guess that's where the thought starts.

But when you're winning with your bets, I doubt that you'll feel any regret because you're winning and you're having more money or you're taking back your losses.

That's how it is but if there's a gambler like that and feels like that, we can't blame them if that's what he really feels.

Pretty normal when someone feels remorse at the end of the game and that's when he has lost money and his bet. I don't think that there's a need to be alert on it or it's a good thing because you'll never feel that if you have never gambled at all.

Right, if you don't want to feel it then you should only gamble what you can afford to lose or any amount that you think your conscience won't be feeling any remorse for whether you win or lose.

If you have lost that much, more likely you would encounter such feeling, and that is normal. What's not is to comeback playing the moment you regret, 'coz that would be frustration. As we all believed, we should onlu invest or gamble an amount we can afford losing. That's a given ideaa, but in reality most of the gamblers cannot really afforf losing any amount. Like, who would be? We all gambled with an expection of getting something bigger in return. I don't ever feel any remorse after gambling because first off, there's nothing wrong with it if you do it in moderation and your actions are affecting anyone else.  Secondly, I only gamble as a hobby, and I would compare a gambling loss to something sort of like my favorite teams losing in sports, it sucks but I knew it was a possibility but there's nothing I can do about it so I'm moving on.

You should really be like this on which you had already accepted your fate on the time that you had decided on touching or playing gambling on which losses would really be that casual or really that next in line.
You wouldnt really be having those feeling of regret is you have started on having that kind of approach on which you are already that anticipating that losses would be there. On this way then you wouldnt
really be making yourself that impulsive and making out such dumb moves or decisions just because you do find yourself that panicking because you had lost some money. This is which usually an action

Eh, I mean it's something similar to pity I guess so I may have felt it before. But it's a lot better than someone who just throws away money without any feelings about it though no? I mean even investors would be rather nervous throwing x amount of money somewhere (yes gambling and investment are different but it's about spending money in general).

Now that I think of it what I said about spending money without feeling anything is the one you should be afraid of. Cause it's either in one of two cases at least, one, it isn't your money so you feel nothing about spending it (red flag if you consider this is technically loans), or two, you feel like you can just take a loan if needed. In both cases well, you're addicted. Luckily, the latter means you've spent only your own money, no one around you is affected yet and loans haven't been done, so you can still fix it without being hurt by debts. Former? Not so much.

Luckily with time I have learned what it is all about, the underlying mathematics, and not to put false hopes in it. If you're a person who's adopt a religion where it's not allow you to gamble, you must not gamble at all! if you still want to gamble, you need to move to other religion because this will make you not think you're broke a rule in your religion.

I mean we all feel regret in the end for sure, When we lose something valuable to us something like money it would surely going to impact us in the end, no one actually likes to lose for sure it just wasn't feeling as good as winning. And we blame ourselves every time and regret doing it in the end, perfectly normal I guess what is not normal is were allowing it to get greedy and letting our emotions win betting an unreasonable amount.

When you start to bet your gamble your money on something that is valuable to you, For me it wasn't really good or bad since where are just human and we have emotions, it is just normal for us to regret something when we already lose the game.

If you do not really want to bet then you shouldn't do it after all, but I guess some people love to gamble and like the feeling of being thrilled or challenged, something like testing their luck.

Remorse for gambling or remorse for losing? because in my opinion, these are two different things, if you feel remorse for gambling it could be because of a belief that it is not allowed, so if because of that it is better to stop because conscience will continue to accuse you of being a sinner if you continue to gamble, but if the feeling of remorse because of loss is something gamblers usually experience, especially before they experience this their conscience tells them to stop, it could be because they have already made a sizable profit or also because they have crossed the line in the amount of money actually budgeted for gambling, but if every gambling result is so disturbing to your mind whether by winning or losing, it's better to stop because it can interfere with your other activities.

If you don't feel any regrets then you don't really care about your money. That is an emotion that tells your brain and body that you made a mistake which means you can make it right. Now, that will depend on you. Either stop gambling or continue on your plan, don't try chasing losses because that always doesn't end up well.
Remorse, Greed, Envy, and more, are all part of being a gambler and it makes you better in the long run. If you don't feel that kind of thing then yes, something must be wrong with you.
I feel regret a lot of times, especially in sports gambling where there will be times your instincts tell you to bet on the other side, and yet you force yourself on what you think is the better choice or from a choice of a website or other gambler. It should be obvious that if you are feeling some sort of remorse due to the money you are gambling away then you are doing something wrong and you know it, maybe you needed that money or that was money someone loaned to you and that is why you feel that way, so if those feelings suddenly assault you then it is time to stop and think for a moment about what you are doing, as most likely you need to organize your ideas and then decide whether you want to keep gambling or not.

I was once in this position when I gambled the money my mother gave me and hoped that it would double, but in the end it disappeared along with my savings. I felt guilty that I should have used the money for something important instead of gambling it. So maybe you feel guilty after gambling because you are betting money that you are not willing to lose. So it is better to gamble with the mindset that the money will disappear and make sure that the money you use is not too important to you.

When you feel sorry, that is a good thing. You already feel sad because you used the money to gamble, especially if he has suffered many losses. And usually, we must feel sorry when we lose but still gamble in the future. And many of us gamble because we want to recover from previous losses even though it will require more money, but it is still difficult for us to recover from those losses.
