They have scheduled a token to unlock a few days from now and that token unlocks is huge, which is around $60m equivalent to their token.

So my take here is, what do you think will be the effect of this unlock in the coming days especially since we just had a huge dump?

people are often afraid of such unlocks, but history shows that they are mostly unfounded. If the project fundaments are still there and the project is not dead, the unlock shouldn't affect the price significantly. It was the same with ETH and unlocking staking coins. A lot of people were afraid of it, and on the day of unlocking the price increased instead of falling. This was due to the fact that many more people were selling earlier in the hope of buying back cheaper after unlocking. Their demand after unlocking exceeded the supply of unlocked coins. But fundaments must be there and should be stronger than the moment coins were locked.

Going to expect a lot of volatility. Some of it is most likely already priced in but it really depends on how risk averse a trader is. A lot of money to be made there. Im also waiting on my unlock but unsure if to dump it intsantly or not

You guyz will just be very lucky if you have the opportunity of getting it unlocked, the challenges with all these new projects is that they can't be trusted, but if the first attempt for them to redeem their image is genuine then i believe they will have a lot of market bids for the coin because there are large number of people ready to invest on any coin that could be genuine and trusted, who knlws maybe it will be the next Pepecoin to be on the run.

The unlocking token volume is huge and i think that will put bad impact on price. Blur token is not listed in Binance and volume is not big. whenever this kind of unlocking happening then big investors sell off their tokens week ago. week ago we have seen massive dump in SUI price and reason was big unlocking coin of public sale buyer in kucoin. Market condition is also bad and no one is in the mood of holding and i think price will be dumped.

Market condition is also bad and no one is in the mood of holding and i think price will be dumped.

What do you mean by saying it would leave bad impact on price, i will like to inform you that this can only be what will happen within the token itself and not affecting other cryptocurrencies price, secondly i will like to give a strong warnig from investing on memecoins or tokens not enlisted, they may just be there to trigger us through their hype for their investment which is why we need to make careful resea before investing on any going getting unlocked or newly introduced.

The right answer is simple, more dump.

People are gonna to push this news to dump the price more because you have people from 2 sides:
- Current users who are scared the price of his token dump, and he decide to sell now
- The user who receive the unlock token are gonna to dump the token after they receive the token, because some of them need to raw cash.

It's bouncing towards new all time low. Not only people preparing for the unlock to sell before the potential crash, but people who get the airdrop will sell immediately just to get something for free. As this can still go down a lot and everyone knows it.

And this is even without counting in the current overall crypto market sentiment. Alts are bleeding and times are uncertain for the whole crypto scene. This could be the best time to invest if you think you should buy when fear is most but there are more things happening that will cause more fud. Like new regulatory legislation that's going to happen in full force. People are just now focused on CEX attack and seem to be blind to anything else. So i guess they are not prepared for what's coming. MICA is coming

The markets always calculate the negative news the moment the news spreads, and therefore if a drop in the price occurred before the unlocking, it is a good sign because the worst has already happened.

When unlocking is opened, all that will happen is a rebound that may be negative for some time and may extend for several months, according to the received FOMO, but definitely, as long as there is demand on the platform, the price will return again.
If there is no decrease in the price, this means that either not many people know about this news, or that the worst will happen soon, so sell now if you have that token.

Buying Blur right now it seems you are catching falling knives which is very risky. Bottom after bottom, this unlocked seems got bad effects to the Blur token.

If you trust the project, then buying now is an excellent option, because the price will rebound to the nearest point, which is at half a dollar, and then it is a good gain for the short term, otherwise consider it a loss and that the value of that token is zero, and something may happen in the future.

unlocked is the false price tax which was about 0.8.

Yeah it’s not good. I am bag holding this gem from like $0.90 or so.l really believed it was the OpenSea killer and would be around $5 long term. However the token unlocks are way too much for the market to bear in this time.

I think if blur was released in 2021-2022 it would be a different story but most new tokens all get sold off. Same with arb which was also suppose to be a huge hit.

Depends on what market condition the unlock happened, base on the current market condition, it won't take much brainstorming to know what the end result will be. People will most likely sell but the the good thing is there will always be the long term vision investors who would not mine buying at a very cheap price. If the project is great then it is worth the wait.

Why is it absurd that people sell with any price they get for free at the bear market. Everyone knows it can drop a lot from here, so why not sell and get something.

Remember IMX and GODS airdrop? I sold gods in $5 which was near all time low at the time. So was it low and absurd to sell too or was it having a perspective on over priced valuation? As now GODS is $0.12
IMX i sold little under $5 which seemed like a bad price at the time. I just saw it over priced, and now it's $0.62.

It's not always about having some pocket money. People have made a lot of money selling BLUR and it's still quite high in the marketcap considering that it doesn't have an interesting or attractive useful use case that i can see.

Many token sales include a lockup period or vesting schedule for the token holders. These restrictions can limit the supply of circulating tokens and it affects the prices once the lockup period expires and the tokens become unlocked. So the user can sell the tokens and buy back from the dip. Then you can get more tokens than just holding the tokens.

Blur is a good project but it is better to move away from all these projects with big unlock coming, there are so many of them, these VCs bought in at ridiculous prices and they will take the earliest opportunity to dump their first unlock and lock in profit, I just hope there will be clarity around the SEC and token sale in future, these VCs are not adding anything to the space except the pump and dump scheme most of them engage in. I won't touch any tokens if the current tokens in circulation is less than 50%

Probably market crash just a bit before and after the unlocks then maybe it pumps back or just stay where it is It all depends on the project and how they are willing to maintain their market If the token valuation is justified according to the utility of the token then I see no reason why it dumps that much but sure market will be more saturated if there are no willing buyers Investors who believe in the project will usually scoop up so more along the way
