Although many dreams of Bitcoin being "legalized" in their country, thinking that it would mean that everyone (or most) would start using it, I will just say that legalization in any sense does not necessarily mean that people will start using Bitcoin as a currency.

Just look at the example of El Salvador, where Bitcoin is legally regulated as legal tender, and data shows that even less than 20% of people in that country have used it or are using it. There are also many countries in the world where there is no obstacle to use Bitcoin as a means of payment, but few people will decide to pay for pizza or coffee with it.

If the OP got the chance to open a pizzeria in his city and put up a big sign "Bitcoin accepted here", and after a month nobody would pay with BTC, would he continue to believe in his dream or would he give up?

Good to have dreams like that but don't exceed on your expectations since there are si many technicalities need to consider before it will be legal on your country. Maybe for now try to focus on how you can earn since if you wait for something great to happen then maybe you will wait long for this fantasy to happen. Also we cannot close the doors in terms of adoption since who knows maybe in one day we can see a global changes and we can see bitcoin being added and declared as legal currency to use.

It is not bad to dream. It is your heart desire to come through maybe you have lots of bitcoin that you want to start trading directly with customers. Nothing is impossible to happen but at the same time you have a tall dream because it is not dependent on you to happen but the people in government except you have friends or family members to influence your dream.

Advise to you is don't stay by the line waiting for bitcoin legalization in your country before you start your business. Start up the business with the use of your local fiat currency and build a network of customers for your self and if your dream finally become real then you already have an edge.

They may have to do similar to what El Salvador is doing to make things better. Your dream is not impossible.

Even if his country get to follow what El Salvador did by legalizing bitcoin, it may not matter anything significant on the short time because whatever accumulation of bitcoin he got from his customers would make meaning to him on the longterm when bitcoin bull arrive. This is also same thing in El Salvador because part of the bitcoin hedge by the government is below cost price likewise businesses accumulating bitcoin. However the profit in bitcoin is during the long term but pizza business requires more like daily activities and turn over except he only want to be dealing with bitcoin transaction and not really on the longterm gains.

From your post op, seems like you and your father have a good business running with a tourist spot. Running a business is actually hard but if its involved money it would be a great advantage for you to enter in this industry in crypto as you know how to handle money or assets already. I haven't been to Bangladesh but I would love to try some dishes there.

It's good to have a goal or dream so you would have a path to take, actually nursing takes years for your studies before you graduate which can be apply to Bitcoin. Bitcoin also takes years to understand, you might get the basic knowledge in just days but to fully understand it, you need to take your time to understand all the complicated information in the Bitcoin. It would be a huge advantage for you once you've graduated and have some income for you to invest in Bitcoin especially when in your country it become legalized. It would take time for some country to legalized Bitcoin since it would be a big adjustment for them to open a system they couldn't control since it's decentralized.

There is this saying in my place that goes like this: "Time waits for nobody; time is money." Yeah, the fact that you can't accept Bitcoin payments now based on its Illegality in your country doesn't mean you can't accept fiat or other accepted means of payment in your country. The dream of every entrepreneur is to have a big business that could extend across other countries, and if they are very successful, it can possibly be a dream come true. If you think that the location of your house is strategically located with tourist sites, then you should have benefited from it even if bitcoin is not legal in your country. Every foreign tourist who comes to the place will pay you in fiat, so it is also the same when they pay in bitcoin for the same value.

That's just a matter of time, you should not be fooled by the current dilemma that makes your dreams in Palu and no longer developed.
You only need to wait for the leader of your country who is open with technological innovation and financial system, I think at this time you only need to be patient waiting and increase knowledge in the world of blockchain and bitcoin so that you understand the advantages and disadvantages which you then develop to be better to use bitcoin in the region You.

Bitcoin still isn’t that much popular as a currency of choice. Like @franky1 said, there’s nothing to lose right now if you start a business and accept fiat first. BTC can come later, don’t imagine that if you accept BTC everyone will come serve some food at your place.

As much as I love BTC, I don’t think there’s a lot of potential yet in accepting BTC for your business sales. There’s so much more room for growth and it’s nice having it as an optional payment choice but it won’t bring you that much revenue. Especially in this market.

Cool dream op, but it will most probably remain a dream only. World governments(Especially Asian governments) fear BTC and other popular cryptocurrencies since they are capable of taking away some of their power and transferring it to the masses.

Many world governments are trying to regulate cryptocurrencies instead of banning them these days which is a positive step forward.

Take good care of and save your dreams as long as you can do your activities as usual. Not only in Bangladesh, if you do research there are also countries in the world that have the same status as your country regarding the legal status of Bitcoin.
Don't because Bitcoin is illegal in your country, you will bury your dreams.

Of course, there are still many things you can do with your Bitcoin status. If you want to do business and stuff, I think you can still convert it to fiat.

Op, does your country have an official system of petitions? In my country, any citizen can create a petition to local or nationwide authorities on an official governmental website, and if that petition reaches enough support within a certain timeframe, the authority to which it is addressed is obliged to officially respond to it. Usually, they support the petitions at least to some extent, although there are exceptions. If there's such a thing in Bangladesh, you could create a good petition to the government (citing successful cases where it works, for example), asking to allow Bitcoin payments, and gather support within Bangladesh to help your dream come true.

Considering payment options, people mostly buy things with tools that are most convenient, name it, cash, card, or anything. If the popular payment option is not a bitcoin and your goal is to hoard bitcoin, I believe you are going to get a hard time fulfilling that. We have known from experience, just because any government legalize bitcoin payment within its country, does not mean people will immediately start using them. We know it from El Salvador. I'm just trying to be realistic, especially since you considering it as your business planning.

For governments in the Asian continent, they still don't have the courage to make a decision about legalizing Bitcoin in their respective countries, but for other countries, such as those in the Americas, it is very different from those in Asia because several countries exist. in the Americas, such as El Salvador, for example, have succeeded in legalizing Bitcoin, although citizens there still use their own country's currency on a daily basis.

I think the Bangladesh government bans bitcoin and cryptocurrencies for their reasons, maybe they are afraid of not controlling the people or will affect the power of the government… but I don't think just because they are a country, small economies have their reasons to ban bitcoin.

Today, there are still some countries that have not yet legalized bitcoin, and unfortunately for investors in Bangladesh. But that should not be a reason to stop our dream, we can do business and start a business without bitcoin, bitcoin should not be considered a barrier.
