Altcoins value can spike during the bull market. I've seen it several times and even shitcoins can experience a massive growth during the bull market if they are align with the current trend. One example of this is play to earn tokens last bull market. So many low quality games that produced their own token really sky rocket even if the product quality is so bad and really unplayable to the current standards. Maybe not having a specific target and selling right after it has reached, but one should always be careful as the market can always dip once it reaches the peak during the bull run, so, as you said, one should never get greedy in the cryptocurrency market because that will only cause them losses and if not losses, they will lose a part of their profits and then they start regretting why they sold so late, but again, if they sell early, they will still feel bad for not holding them a little more.

honestly though you could simply just invest in both, why? because usually they don't really increase or having a rally in unified manners.
bitcoin usually have the first bullrun and after it stabilises at its peak then altcoin will have the chance to shine, and it just means that you could be investing in bitcoin first
and then invest in altcoin which eventually you will convert back to bitcoin which gonna be a quite good strategy from my opinions.
but then again such pattern isn't necessarily guaranteed to be the same for all I know there is some cases when bitcoin and altcoin have rally at the same time.

It might happen and also there's a possible of it not happening, those coins you got from participating in airdrops and bounties can give you profits because of the bull market or they might just be dead coins that didn't get listed because the team abandoned it as they couldn't raise enough capital from the Presale or because thedevelopers were scammers that just ran away with investors money.
Don't depend on those bounty tokens if you want to make big profits this bull market instead invest in some good altcoins from your own pocket. Put money into coins like Arbitrum as it could be big as Polygon is and also look at some new projects that can give you profit before the bull market ends. Some old coins will do very well but they won't be bounty tokens unless they're listed on top exchanges.
And if you're investing in old tokens make sure they're still active and development are going on, on the project because if you don't do your research to make sure the project is still very active, you'll end up investing in an abandoned or dead project. Many old tokens will be delisted from exchange as we get closer to bull market that'll introduced new hot projects.

I agree that it is going to pump a lot but also be aware that there will be dump periods as well for those. We are going to see one project go up way higher than it should, but then we are going to see it go down a lot as well.

I believe that we are going to end up with a situation where the result will be like it goes from 10 to 50 and then drop to 1. That doesn't help the project, it actually hurts the project a lot more, because it may go up like crazy while that bull happens and the hype and the pump is there, it makes everyone who invested into it very happy, but then they all dump and the price crashes and rarely ever recovers and ends up being terrible. That's the risk you are taking and you should be very much aware of it.
