Just wondering for those who were in the last bull run what it was like and how fast prices pump during the peak bull times?

thats right, there will be so many altcoins created at the beginning of the bullrun, everyone wanna make their own coins and become rich out of it, but when bullrun is ended or nearing the end, these altcoins are gonna be dead and turns into zero, thats the thing with bullrun.
the veteran holders definitely already figured out this pattern.
investing in some random altcoin only good at initial bullrun, after that its gonna be too much risk and also waste of time.

agreed. But the formula is, when a shitcoins pump, it literally pump a lot like 4-5x or more. And people want to catch that. They buy and thought, maybe this shitcoin will go more higher then he'll sell but most of the time, people can't sell or need to dump his coins with loss. That's why such shitcoins should be avoided. If any professional investor can go to death of analysis then maybe  he can risk a little for higher amount of money on a unknown/shitcoin during bull run to try his luck, although i never suggest so. It is better to have a less profit with safe inventment in my opinion.

But OP is asking about Altcoin mate and this is altcoin section , the problem here is that people in crypto trust in different coins.
Some in Altcoins and others in bitcoin , while many are supporting both altcoins and bitcoins.
but asking to how quick? there is no certain , unless it is about Shitcoin or Pump and dump currency? then it may be past but as long as the market shows like what we are sitting right now? never over expect or face the consequences .

stop believing in projects that mostly created in before the BullRun  because those are commonly going with the flow of the market but ending for nothing sooner.

My guess is he got influenced by the halving hype which is said to be associated with a bull run but like you said, maybe things will go differently this time around. He is not a newbie anymore and he already done a good job there of buying and hodling. He can just continue doing it and don't expect too much on some certain dates. We bought the coin so we know if we are already in profit or not. We can just be patient and sell accordingly if the right moment comes in.

Yeah, many people are joining and the intensity can get higher when there are events such as halving. Indeed there are surprises but it's not always about the growth of the price. It can be a massive dump too, so it's better to be prepared.

I am just going to continue to DCA until the halving next year then sell bit by bit throughout 2024 & 2025.

There is basically no point in taking such high risks only to earn a couple of folds of your investment since there are higher chances of losing the money than getting profits since the coins or tokens they choose to invest in barely make it anywhere and die off as soon as they are ignored by the masses because a cryptocurrency requires investments in order to gain value and if a coin or token isn't bought by a lot of people, it won't gain any value.

There is nothing wrong in doing that if you are using a very small percentage of your capital just to try your luck but some people invest very large amounts in such coins and tokens only with the hope that they might earn a lot of money from them if they manage to get some hype and eventually pump really hard which barely happens with most of them.

Depends on your risk management because not all would really be playing safe but rather they would really be taking up a gamble and there are ones who are really that playing safe with their investment
and this is why they do really love on seeing those huge gains over with those safe picks when it comes to their investment despite of being risky and since they do know the potential result or outcome then they'll dive into it.

How quick do altcoins pump in bull run? It would really be that too fast on which you do even ask on how its been  that possible. You cant really that make yourself that
able to believe on how quick those coins do able to pump on such manner on which it do overtaken to those top altcoins in the market.

definitely does the same as you, I keep DCA until bitcoin truly reaches bullrun and the other altcoins are also having altcoin season.
speaking from the history, its always those that hold from the very beginning that created massive profit in the long run.
I guess this time around will be the same, when everyone else reluctant to invest just because they've seen never ending bearish situation i would keep accumulating bitcoin investment.
hopefully maybe around 2024 the bullrun will be coming after all we are already in a bearish for too long already.
right now the signs of market recovering back is there, many coins eager to go up, its just the bullrun still not truly arriving.

Shitt!!! i can't really wait bitcoin to get another hype again before halving. It seems like that halving is likely pumping the price of bitcoin even higher than before. Havling will obviously trigger the price of altcoins even higher. As you can see that how the price of altcoins are going up so crazily. Im still more than 120% ROI from my initial investment when bitcoin was still around 25k and i have made it on ARK. Everything seems possible to happen once the bullish trend will be coming back again.
People are ready to facing the bullish trend after they were waiting for years. Finally, im seeing good return for my investment. Im waiting for bitcoin to break 35k. It's slowly moving up.

35k is only a few hundreds bucks away from the current position. It seems like that bitcoin will able to break it soon.

I have been in the 2 bull runs and the pump is really fast and good but depend in which coins you are holding
but if you are talking about shitcoins, then good luck to your holding because there are so much to consider
when dealing with altcoins and if those are ranking coins then congratulations in advance.

I don't hold any BTC or ETH. I don't plan on ever holding any ETH but do plan on getting some BTC once my altcoins have pumped.

My main two holds are Quant & Cronos.

Shitcoin's rise in bull season only takes a few days and can reach 10x and can make people disappointed who would not have thought it would reach such a high price, to be honest, people have already made a profit and have won but the life of a shitcoin investor really makes people believe they will get more but it can be the other way around. Tou might be tempted to buy back too early if you just set 5-10x. You make profit with this strategy but it would make you sell too early.

Whichever you hold either altcoin or BTC, following the chart of BTC is the same as looking at  any altcoin chart. When BTC hit its ATH price, its time to watch for dumps, its time to sell.

The real altseason can run for few month but in this time all the project won't grow at the same time. Most of the time one narrative got the trend and all the project in that narrative start pumping. Later another one got attention and start pumping like crazy. In the past bull run I think this was the real scenario in most of the time.

That is a nice strategy that many misses to take profit when they can. If you're setting 5x-10x of the portfolio profit that you have and you're taking it, that's better than having nothing. Because the others are exaggerating it and thinks that it should be 100x or more.
