Am I Being Scammed By A Prominent YouTuber?

I've been watching a lot of YouTube videos about Cryptocurrency trading.
I especially enjoy watching one YouTuber, Eddie Moon. I Googled him and read about him. "is an American YouTube channel with over 292.00K subscribers. It started 9 years ago and has 196 uploaded videos."
In any case, he has a Patreon, which I joined. He also offers one on one mentoring.
He suggested I open an account at Webulltradingbot.com because that's where he does her trading. So I did. I deposited $10,000.00

However, there is another site called Webull at webull.com. I felt confused and I wrote Webull.com an email asking about the website, webulltradingbot.com. This is their reply:

I contacted him and told him about this. He said it is a legitimate site and has been trading on it for years.

Can you tell name of Youtube channel of that prominent youtuber? It would be interesting to take a look into it? But yeah, it seems that you really got scammed. I tried to open Webulltradingbot.com and it doesn't even opens.
You really want to say that you deposited $10k to website that you hear for the first time just after listening advices of one Youtuber and you didn't even made research before doing it. I'm sorry for your loss, but you gave $10k to scammers with easy hand.

I've learned that there are fake crypto websites and if you deposit money into them you will never get your money back.

If I'm not mistaken you claim to be a forex trader, but I doubt that from today. I think you trade only relying on some signals and mentor subscription (cmiiw). If that is true then stop, you will not gain self-improvement that way.

Have you tried to withdraw money from there? If you can't do that, then you've been scammed, if it's a legitimate platform, then you won't have a problem with withdrawing money.

What is a prominent Youtuber? Do you know that it is possible to buy subscribers for the YT channel, so that number is not necessarily in a positive relationship with the quality of the material placed there?

Because this second website is working fine and see below they have full who.is available (uncommon for a scammer for what I have seen during these year)

People fall for Social Media ads, get directed to whatsapp and pay thousands of $.

It looks like you have a lot of a learning to do. The crypto spaces are very slippery with so many scammers all over the place. Having 300K subscribers is nothing and should not be used a measure to prove someone's trustworthiness

First no matter how helpful the advice and knowledge given to you by a Youtuber or a cryptocurrency trading expert. You still have to do your own research because most of these influencers are paid for every advertisement they do and some of their websites they recommend paid for their service.
Having said that, wellbull.com is truly the official website and the webulltradingbot.com website is a phishing website

Did the conversation with this Eddie Moon guy take place on Discord? Can you post some screenshots of it? You can blur out your username if you want but its possible someone on the Patreon Discord was pretending to be him.

Also drop the YouTube channel of the prominent YouTuber.

Even if someone is teaching you trading or giving you signals, you can also use same signals and teachings and trade in reputable exchanges like Binance.

I'm a beginner crypto trader.
I've watched a lot of YouTube videos and one Youtuber made a lot of sense to me. I contacted him and he said I need to start out using a trading bot.
I need to go to webulltradingbot.com and deposit money into the account and the bot will do the trading for me.
He claimed I can make 5% a week on my investment.
I deposited $20,000 and sure enough, I'm making $1,000 a week.

I've then watched all the Crypto scams out there.
I figure I've been scammed.
However, today I asked to withdraw $10,000 and it's been approved.
It will take 2 to 3 days to get to my bank.

Can a Crypto trading bot make this kind of money?
If I'm being scammed I don't see it.
I believe, "If it's too good to be true, then it is."

Another user just got scammed, if the OP's story is true.
What amazes me most often about all this scam is how they don't, from the beginning, locate this forum and ask a question about how legit a site is before they can make their investment with them. But once they get scammed or suspect any scamming activity, that's when they will realize there is a Bitcointalk Forum where they can ask questions.

He said he joined Eddie Moon's Patreon, and from the pinned post in the Eddie Moon official Patreon and recent posts, I can say that maybe OP joined a fake Patreon account with the same name as Edie's youtuber because the real YouTuber had not previously touched on highlighting this fake trading bot platform before, frankly, I do not believe the OP, and he did not put proof of his deposits or chat logs.



And what caught my eye is that the OP has a previous topic titled: "Met Beautiful Young Asian Woman On Dating Site To Teach Me Trading" and in this topic, he tells another story that I think is from his imagination and indirectly promotes the BitContractPro platform, which has no reviews or ratings and is definitely a scam.

We can tell from the following quote that the OP intends to promote these fake trading platforms here and not to solicit recommendations or advice.

On her platform, she can Buy and hold on to it and Sell it in 60 seconds. You can't do that with Coinbase.
So she wants me to transfer all of my Coinbase money into the platform she uses, which is:

She has $100,000 in her account. She averages $10,000 a month.
She will teach me how to trade on that platform.

This is really interesting!
What I have noticed is that most users who post in the scam accusation board are newbies but they have been in this field for too long.
They get fooled on other channels (telegram, discord, name it. .) then the come here to complain!
No one of them came here to ask for suggestions or help before investing. They only come to complain after it's too late and no one can help.

Despite the utter strangeness, I honestly decided to give OP the benefit of the doubt because people seem to hit a new low when it comes to how gullible they can be.

But today, I saw an interesting post on beginners and help. What are the chances that both OPs who made the same accusation got the same wrong/typo'd domain name? 🤔

I also noticed the similar posting patterns, which suggests that he is the same person. In the other thread, he was pretty confident that his withdrawal had been approved and had to wait for only 2-3 for the money to arrive into his bank account.

However, today I asked to withdraw $10,000 and it's been approved.
It will take 2 to 3 days to get to my bank.

Because I was able to withdraw $10,000 back to my bank. If they were scammers, would they let me do that?

Now he has waited for over 10 days but the so-called approved withdrawal has not materialized into any money getting sent to his bank account

After 10 days of submitting the withdrawal request, I get the message that they are having difficulties with their department. However, the withdrawal will be complete in 10 more days.
The 10 days have passed and no withdrawal.

And I guess he still thinks he has not been scammed

Yep, that was my first thought.  You can also buy entire channels from Youtubers with tons of real subscribers, because I've seen a couple examples of that.  I think it happened with Business Casual, who's now trying to sue Youtube.  Anyway, don't believe online reviews, like/dislike numbers, subscriber counts, Twitter followers, or any of that.  People have been selling stat-boosting services right here on bitcointalk for years.

And that guy may well be a prominent Youtuber, but I've never heard of him.

Is it worth investigating?  There are many strange birds in this forest of ours, and some of them just like to tell outrageous lies for reasons unknown to anyone but themselves.  I think the best thing to do is ignore him until he shuts up.  If he got scammed, let that be an education for him.  He wouldn't be the first or last person to fall for something a retarded child would recognize as a scam.  Some people can't be helped.
