Carrick did it again. 4th win in a row and 100% win ratio since he took over Man United as an interim head coach.
Tottenham's Romero made it easier for United after he got sent off in the 29th minute. I don't think the red card was fully deserved. I think a yellow one would be enough as Romero's tackle didn't look intentional, but it is what it is.
The question is, how much credit does Carrick deserve for all those wins? It's a team built by Amorim. It could be that Carrick brought in a fresh look, a positive atmosphere, and was very effective in coming up with strategies, but it's also possible that those successes are a result of a mixture of luck and the fact that players tend to have extra motivation when there's a change in head coach position.
Nevertheless, if United carries on playing that well, I'm sure Carrick will be made a permanent manager. I don't think United's fans would like to see anyone else leading the team right now.

Arsenal won comfortably against Sunderland. They won the match 3–0 and Gyökeres finished the game with two goals. They maintained the points gap with their rivals.

Manchester United are on a run of four wins out of four under Carrick and beat Tottenham 2–0. They dominated the match and deserved the victory.

Chelsea won 3–1 away from home.

Newcastle United lost 3–2 to Brentford at home.

For Arsenal, this was one game they had longed for given the fact that, their first leg ended in a 2:2 draw in a vey action packed game and Arsenal must have looked forward to a return leg like they had today. They handled it good today, comfortably beating Sunderland to a 3:0 win.

Chelsea had such a moment today and C. Palmer was making the most of it. After being out on several games due to injuries and missing out in the scoring, his back and scored a hat trick, 1 free play and 2 penalties, that was lit for Chelsea.

Yeah it was a comfortable win for Arsenal and make a statement that they weren't going to repeat same mistake they made in the Stadium of Light, but Arsenal were expected to win this because Sunderland don't fair well during there away fixtures but playing at home, in there stadium is another ball game. At this point, Arsenal are getting really close to finally taking this home, and the City v Liverpool match will tell us how close.

Arsenal continues making their intentions known with the continued wins and this brings them closer to lifting the most awaited trophy in so many blue moons... and I know rival fans would want them to choke and drop points along the way but the boys are really showing that they are mentally ready for this one..well done Arsenal and I think trophy needs to be engraved with your name on it by now  Tongue

City you messed up big time, wouldn't be surprised if United play catch-up against you clown's lol
I seriously don't understand what's happening in the Manchester City team. It's been a Nerve-wracking period for Guardiola and his boys. I don't know if you're saying this out of the perspective of a fan to Arsenal or not, but Beware! Pep has a habit of regaining back possession out of the blue.. He needs to pickup immediately this time around, Carrick didn't come to play games with anyone. Infact, he needs the trophy more than anyone does.
3 goals for Arsenal against Sunderland. Not going to lie, that went above my imagination of what could have been an interesting outcome for this match, since their last 5 matches has earned them only 2 wins.

I’m curious, and maybe there are some Man United fans here who can explain in more detail. Why is it that after MU didn’t have a permanent manager, the squad’s performance actually seems stronger and the players appear more motivated?

Or do all the MU players actually prefer not having a permanent manager? Or maybe Carrick has a better approach with the players, giving everyone more confidence?

It seems I’m not the only one who finds MU’s performance improvement a bit unusual. After Amorim was sacked, the red devils managed to beat strong teams like Arsenal and Man City, and a winning streak like this really looks impressive, doesn’t it?

Gyökeres' performance was very effective in the match. He's now starting to play in a way that suits Arsenal's style of play.
Zubimendi also deserves praise he scored the first goal last week and again today against Sunderland. In extra time, Gyökeres scored another goal, this time celebrating while on the ground.
Arsenal won a match they needed to win, with three goals.

Arsenal target Sunderland with 16 shots, the gunners didn't let sunderland do the first scoring. Arsenal were aggressive, they didn't underestimate sunderland as they  previously did which led to Sunderland holding them to a draw. Arsenal can't afford a draw, instead a victory against sunderland. For arsenal, this is the plug to remain at the top of the table so it was a decisive match. Arsenal beat sunderland 3-0 to remain ahead of Manchester city with nine points. Manchester city Vs Liverpool is a possible draw from the angle i see it.

I have been getting messages all afternoon from my friends that are Manchester United supporters. They have crowned me United greatest hater just because I’m not so impressed that they won a side that is not so strong and had a red card. That said, I have to give Carrick his flowers, 4 wins so far and champions league in sight. This man deserves a contract.
I agree with you that the red card from Tottenham Hotspur kills the competitiveness of the game, but Manchester United team deserves some credit because I have seen teams plays against a team with a man down, but wasn't as good and effective going forward as Manchester United was in this game, so I believe that you are not going to blame the fans of Manchester United for seeing you as a hater since you were looking for what to use in discrediting their winning against Tottenham.

Romero's red card didn't kill the team's spirit for Tottenham as they never had any in the first place. They depend too much on a single player for collective results. I've watched several 10 vs 11 player games with more organized teams and the outcome can be controlled. Sometimes, the team with the lesser number of players does win!
Some situations cannot be reverted, but it can be controlled if there's a desire to win. Tottenham played like they already knew they was going to lose the game. United, on their most recent form with Carrick can sense the slightest fear in any team.

The truth is that There has been situations when Manchester United lost to a 10 man team and everyone blamed them. Now we're witnessing a good Manchester United team but some people still don't like it. Manchester United is entertaining everyone now and we should applaud their consistency now. This is their 4th win in a row as we  know.

I am of the opinion that the red card made Manchester United not to score more goals because Tottenham Hotspur resorted to full defensive game which made it difficult to penetrate. Manchester United made a total of 23 shots with 9 on target but only 2 goals. This is why you should understand that the red card made the game less entertaining. Without the card, Tottenham Hotspur could have come out more and Manchester United could have used that opportunity to score more goals.

Certainly when Romero received a red card in the 29th minute against Man United in yesterday's match, we noticed that this red card ruined the competitiveness of this team's game. Actually this is correct Romero is an important player in this team but he can't play aggressively against Manchester United which is why I noticed that Man United won yesterday in the twenty five round so they deserve credit. Bruno Fernandes doubled the lead for Manchester United in last night's match his brilliant performance we are enjoying this Premier League season and he already owns the highest assist, anyway I find it very impressive that Man United have already secured four consecutive league match wins under the leadership of an interim manager carrick.

Manchester United really did it! Another win by 2-0 against Tottenham this time and the win series has reached 4 matches now...  Roll Eyes

Really unlucky red card by Romero though. It wasn't intentional but of course such challenge with opponent's ankle requires a direct red card.

After that moment it was a really comfortable match for Manchester United. Now the next target is West Ham in an away match... What about a 5-match win series?

West Ham are on the rise as they won their game against Burnley, but it's literally a showdown between 18th and 19th place  Grin United will be a strong favorite against them. I have a big bias towards United (as I am a fan of them) so it is difficult for me to assess how likely a 5th win in a row is and what odds will be profitable for this game, but on paper United should take 3 points.
If Liverpool can take points from City today, Arsenal's chances of winning the title will increase even further, with bookmakers currently offering them at 1.20.

I really don’t understand the decline in Newcastle’s performance right now…they haven’t won any of their last five games and then yesterday they lost again against Brentford, they scored the opening goal but Brentford equalized in the first half and then got a penalty leading two goals to one into the halftime.

Even though they also got a penalty in the second half equalizing with Brentford they were not able to atleast draw that game because Brentford scored another goal in the 85th minute sealing the victory and grabbing the three points. Newcastle are now the 12 on the premier league table after that lost yesterday.

Newcastle this season is indeed not as good as last season, but I am impressed with the performances shown by Brentford in the last few matches, including in this game. Brentford has really risen, and now Brentford is already in 7th place in the current standings. They are doing very well this season, and if this kind of performance can be maintained, I am quite optimistic that Brentford can compete for a spot to play in European competitions next season.

Two great goals for Viktor Gyökeres he was fortunate yesterday extending his goals to nine in the Premier league

Carrick is not getting carried away,  he still thinks a lot of work needs to be done.

Cole Palmer getting back to proper form and confidence with the hat trick.

Newcastle are back to where they belong. Soon, they will begin to see Eddie Howe for the flop he has been for years
