This is how the relegation battle looks after the recent results in the PL!

Tottenham should be grateful for Aston Villa to have beaten West Ham... Otherwise maybe they could have been in relegation zone now. They aren't in a safe place anyway though.  

I just don't have any words to explain their loss against Forest like that. I can only say that the players have completely lost their respect for Igor Tudor and they are doing their best to send him away. Probably it will happen at any time.

It was a surprising but not so surprising result considering that Tottenham have not been in a good form whereas Nottingham Forest is on the rise…. Fighting to get away from the relegation zone. Tottenham are back where they ended last season, I am still blaming the management for how they hire and fire coaches.
Nottingham Forest has really improved their game if they continue like this, they most likely will be safe at the end and they also have a chance at the Europa trophy.

Toteham really got lucky by Aston villa winning against West Ham, that was there fastest way going out from the league but somehow they were sustained by that loss against West ham. although toteham have shaken lately before that match because they haven't really been in a very good sharp before that game so it some reduced the expectations from that particular game but however they gotten all the way to have made through with west ham

Both Nottingham Forest and Tottenham are weak teams especially Tottenham, I always knew Nottingham Forest was going to win against Tottenham and they really did, the only surprising thing I didn't expect was West Ham losing to Aston Villa as I thought they would secure a draw atleast.

Nottingham Forests zeal just comes from the fact that they are excellently fighting off the relegation zone and they would ever be able to win an European spot

Tottenham lost the match directly to Nottingham Forest but it's more shocked as they got the big defeat at their home stadium. This defeat is a big minus for Tottenham as they already fell behind Nottingham Forest after this match and now they have only one point more than West Ham at the highest position on the relegation zone. Tottenham actually face with very high risk of relegation in this season after this shocked defeat.
In another side of Premier League table, it looks like both Manchester United and Aston Villa are very safe with their positions from third to fourth and won't likely be out of top four or top five. There are some clubs are fighting severely for a fifth position from Liverpool, Chelsea to two underdogs Brentford and Everton. With bad results recently from both Liverpool and Chelsea, Brentford and Everton surprisingly see their opportunities of finishing this season with a fifth position.

Spurs must stop their bad streak, improve their currently declining form to something better as both West Ham, Nottingham Forest and Leeds United are all can put Spurs to the 17th position. Tottenham looks to have best player quality but their declining form is very alarming and in this relegation fight, sometimes only one bad match in remaining 7 matches will decide which club will be relegated and which clubs will stay in Premier League next season. I will be very happy if Tottenham do  not qualify for the premier league this season. I will be happy because I am very  upset with tottenham management. The team's performance was very bad last season too. The team was close to the  relegation zone. The  management should have taken the necessary measures to strengthen their squad. But they did not do  so. As a result, tottenham have faced another decline this season.

Tottenham's performance is very bad. Tottenham has not won a  single match in the premier league in 2026 . This is a great shame for a  renowned club like Tottenham. They have been  in a bad form for a long time. There is no possibility of  improving their performance. Tottenham will fall into the relegation zone if West ham can perform a little better.

Tottenham lost again, this time to Nottingham Forest. This is a serious warning sign for Igor Tudor.

We have seen such a bad performance from tottenham in a row. There is no possibility of their performance improving. Tottenham's performance is declining day by day. Right now, they arel very likely to fall into the relegation zone. But if west ham lose the truck  again, then maybe tottenham will be able to qualify for the premier league.

After beating Atletico Madrid in the Champions League second leg i felt Tottenham has recovered their form and would use that as a motivation to try and be consistent but it's obvious that they might end up being relegated. Losing 3-0 in their home to Nottingham Forest is a shame, those Tottenham players earning big wages should be ashamed of themselves, it would've been a little understandable if it were Nottingham's home but then they couldn't even score 1 goal in their home.

Why are you so amazed by Tottenham's performance? I wanted to give him hope by playing at home with a bet (which I obviously lost), it amazes me the amount of goals more than the defeat.
In any case, it's clear at this point that he's in the relegation zone and is continuing to follow this path. The last 5 games have been one disappointment after another. I was hoping that with a team with "equal points\performance" he would show a modicum of determination, but instead he's not even interested in pushing to recover.

Chelsea and Liverpool is lucky that none of the teams behind them is strong enough to overtake them if not, they will fall below their current position on the table.

It’s not late for that to happen, have you take a look at Chelsea next 6 premier league games? It’s not looking nice at all for Chelsea, with the form they are right now I can confidently tell you that Chelsea will drop further in the league table. Chelsea will face Manchester City, Manchester united, Brighton, Nottingham forest, Liverpool and Tottenham. With the form the above mentioned teams are presently I don’t think Chelsea will have more than 6 points if they will even manage up to that. Chelsea can’t win Manchester City and Manchester United, Brighton, Nottingham forest or Liverpool even though Liverpool are also a mess of their own. So Chelsea will fall down the league table.

This is more than enough time for the teams in danger to think about what they can do better in the remaining part of the season. For example, Tottenham! They are still on the verge of relegation zone by only 1 point.

The thing is there is not going to be rest for a lot of the players, so fatigue and injury might still prove to be a problem for most of these struggling teams. The coaches might take time to re-strategise to see how well he can do.
One other side effects of International break is it breaks the momentum of some players and teams, Arsenal has always been a victim of such……. This is the time they lose the league title. Hopefully they’ll hold on to this one this season.

I do not want to see that theybget relegated,  they have invested too much to be there. They gave Thomas Frank rather too much time to still be on the job as the manager and the second mistake was giving the job to a manager like Igor Tudor who has never brought any channeling side out from drought and relegation. Nottingham Forest manager is also changing narratives, they may not be relegated.

I think it is good to have fresh threads about big European leagues. Because indeed such threads related to those leagues have turned into mega threads and people have to post there when they want to discuss a topic related to the leagues. I also know those two alternative EPL subjects @Despairo mentioned but they aren't the same with this one technically.

One of them is a pool thread on which only pool participants are allowed to make posts. The other one is a self-moderated thread and not everyone is keen on posting on such threads as far as I can see.

Honestly I think having new thread for the big European league is a good idea the main one are already too crowded and it is easy for discussion to get lose or ignored with fresh thread people can actually focus on specific topics and have better conversation.
However and to be fair those other EPL threads mentioned are not really the same thing one is only for pool participants so it limits who can even join the discussion the other is self moderated and not everyone feel comfortable posting in that can space so having a normal open thread like this just make things easier and more welcoming for everyone.

Liverpool are really likely to finish the season out of top 4. Things are getting more serious every week! They are 5 points behind the 4th place now. I can't say they have easy fixtures left mostly. If they really do this Slot should be sacked immediately.

Igor Tudor has little or no experience, he has always been sacked for his lack of capabilities to lead games into the champions league position, there's no way he was trusted with bringing Tottenham out of relegation. The management of Tottenham are the greatest when it gets to delusion.

It didn't make sense in the first place to bring in Tudor for the job. I guess Tottenham board thought of him as a temporary solution as his contract was also pointing that out.

But it hasn't worked at all! The players don't even want to see him at the team anymore. This was a risky move and it could cost them losing the PL...

I think Tottenham are unlikely to avoid relegation, as they are only one point behind West Ham, and with seven games remaining and their current form, they are highly likely to be relegated. Igor Tudor will certainly be sacked even if Tottenham manage to avoid relegation, as the players have lost respect for him, and the management is extremely disappointed with his performance.

I think Tottenham are unlikely to avoid relegation, as they are only one point behind West Ham, and with seven games remaining and their current form, they are highly likely to be relegated. Igor Tudor will certainly be sacked even if Tottenham manage to avoid relegation, as the players have lost respect for him, and the management is extremely disappointed with his performance.

The way they have performed shows that Tottenham's position is in danger. They are currently in 17th position and even though they have so many matches to play, if they fail, it will be very bad for them. If Tottenham gets all these points now, they can improve their performance and strength. They will have to fight to win these matches and put themselves in a top position so that they can also improve their performance. West Ham should not expect them to improve their performance and strengthen themselves with their wins. This is the performance of these teams, they should have played well and weakened the strong teams and made it difficult for them, but they have made it difficult for themselves. Now they will not be able to do that and now the top teams have the strength in which they are playing very well.

Not that shocking to see Villa manage to beat West Ham, villa is a great team whereas west ham is dropping, so that one was normal. But Tottenham is doing so badly that they need other teams to lose in order to stay in the league. They are so bad that I can't even see them winning another game, it may happen because we have no idea but I still think it's unlikely and may not happen as well. Not that many games left, so for the rest of the season just ties and losses could be their future.

Because of this I do not think that they are going to do well. Hopefully they can at least try to get few more points, even if draws, so they can stay in the league. If they can't, and they go down, things will not be easy for them to recover from that.
