Tottenham are definitely out of the champions league, because I don't see them coming back from the defeat in the first leg. They are not even in a good form right now, so a come back is out of it. They should definitely concentrate on the premier league, because they are on the edge of getting relegated, which will be very bad for a team like Tottenham. I know they have got some tough matches, but if they channel all their energy to the premier league and also try to improve their game, they might just survive and not get relegated this season.

Tottenham had a bad run at the champions league game against Athletico Madrid as they went on to have a somewhat humiliating defeat. I don't think they can close in the gap in the second leg of the game but who knows..  Looking at their bad performance in the premier league, I wasn't really expecting them to win the game but also didn't envisage that they'll concede the number of gials they did.
They really should focus on not being relegated in the EPL.

This is the same thing I was going to say, Tottenham should just prepare themselves for next season to better their chances of winning trophies because as we all can see, it seems clearly to me that season is really over for them..

Their bad performance isn't just in one league, it's all round and I am looking a short term future where they may likely be changing their coach, maybe this action will do for the team the same magic doing this did for Manchester United.
And speaking of Tottenham doing all they can not to get relegated, well, I do not know what their chances of getting relegated looks high at the moment, but I hope they find a way out of that zone as the season gradually draws to an end.
Their coming game in the EPL is against Liverpool, Liverpool is also in a very bad shape at the moment but I don't think Tottenham will still be able to beat them, I see a possibility of a draw or Liverpool ending up with the win, except Tottenham find a way to play differently and better than they've been playing recently.

Why give up so easily just like that? 
This is the Champions League, and there are two legs. Regardless of the results in the first leg, you have to fight to the end. Giving up, most especially while playing at home, paints a very bad picture to the fans who supported you throughout the season.

What do they have to lose anyway if they throw everything at Atletico Madrid in the season leg? Nothing.

Tottenham got destroyed in the Champions League and I don't think they are recovering from that gap. Therefore they had better focus completely on the Premier League from now on not to relegate...

I have just checked their upcoming games in the league and seen there are still tough games to play. Every game is tough for them though at this point. I won't be surprised if Liverpool finish them off at Anfield easily up next.

With the way things are going for them, they shouldn't even be here, they should have been losing on the group stage and focus on the league instead, but they did not and I get that it makes them money, but they need to realize they need to go back now.

I’m very concern about the premier league performance in the champions league in the face league, honestly they all performed below expectations, would you believe not even one premier league side could come out with at least a win in the first round. So far only 2 teams looks like they stand a big chance to qualify for the quarter finals which I think will be Arsenal and Liverpool, the rest are in a very huge probability.


After 5 teams advanced into the knockout round we all thought I we will at least see 3 or 4 of them in the quarter finals but so far it doesn’t seems so. Well next week is already around the corner and we will see which teams will make the premier league proud.

The premier league teams i believed they would not win their match in the champions league are Manchester City, Newcastle United, and Tottenham hotspur, but it is so worrisome no premier league team was able to win their match in the champions league knockout round, and as it stands now i cannot really say these are the premier league teams that have a big chance of reaching the next round of the champions league because they can still fail to win their match the way they failed to win their match in the champions league knockout round, but let put them in our prayers so that 2-3 premier league teams will reach the next round of the champions league.

I totally agree with you on all you said here bro, they should be more focus on how to stay up in the English premier league because things will really turn ugly for the club if they got relegated into the championship, because almost all their top players will want to leave, and they will lose money and sponsors very quick, which will be a massive step backward for the club, so that is where all their focus should be, not in the uefa champions league where they knows that they will eventually be knockout since coming back from 5-2 down seems impossible, considering their poor performance in recent games.

Additionally, if they survive this relegation battle this season, they really needs a good coach that can revamped the team and change the fortune of the team because this kind of thing happens last season, and it's now happening again, and this time, they might not survive if they plays with it.

I really don't think the gap will increase or decrease at the top of the table, but if their should be a change in the top, it will definitely be Manchester City dropping point, because they are playing a team that is struggling to survive to not get relegated and its very difficult to play such teams at this point of the league.  Manchester City also has a return match against Real Madrid in the Champions League, which they need to be at their best, so they might want to rest some of their players for that match. Arsenal on the other hand is playing at home and they have been very good at home, so I expect to win against Everton this weekend.

I don’t think Tottenham’s chances in the Premier League should be judged so categorically. First of all, they are not in the relegation zone yet, and this is not an easy team, they have quite strong players. If it happens that they fall into the relegation zone, I think you will see a completely different game from Tottenham. This season can be considered a failure for them, the only thing left for them now is to make sure they stay in the Premier League. Last season they had the Europa League and handled it well by winning it, this season they won’t have such a chance. So despite the difficult schedule and the remaining opponents, they need to focus on staying in the Premier League.

Actually Pep Guardiola has many choices of players to play in these 2 important competitions. But unfortunately there is a kind of synchronization and the difficulty of building a sharp attack. Last season Man City could still give Haaland many opportunities and could always be relied on as the main center, now you can see for yourself Haaland rarely even stands out on the pitch. His role seems to be lost, Pep must restore teamwork to support the striker back to his role. Doku, Cherki and Semenyo must support Haaland instead of aiming to score goals for themselves.

At the moment there is not much difference but if Arsenal moves closer then it is interesting but Arsenal will establish this difference again in their next matches so we believe that this difference between Manchester City and Arsenal will remain forever and Arsenal will keep itself at the top with the same performance and strength. They have 2 matches and if they succeed in both then they will be 1 point behind Arsenal and both these matches are difficult for Manchester City and let's see whether Manchester City succeeds in this match or weakens their lead. Although I like Arsenal with their performance because they are strong at the moment and that is why I want to see them grow and become more successful and they will succeed in this match and their aim is to make their goal difficult for Manchester City. It now depends on Manchester City whether they succeed in this match or distance themselves from Arsenal.

Miracles do happen in football. You cannot write off Tottenham in the UCL until the end of the second leg. They might be in a tight corner now, but in sports, anything can happen. Igor Tudor, who was hired to improve the fortune of the club has failed totally to achieve that. Focusing only on the Premier League could be helpful in avoiding relegation since they will play fewer games. But the Champions League looks like the only way they can come back to Europe next season. It might sound impossible for the English side to win the UCL, but nothing is unattainable.

You are very correct on your sentiment here, because truly erling haaland is no longer getting the services up front like he is used to in the past, and the departure of Kevin de bruyne really hit him hard, because he was a player at Manchester City that always delivers that killer pass to him, that's why he always have higher volume of goals in his previous seasons. So for erling haaland to get back to his very best, Manchester City needs to start playing according to his strength, by releasing the ball to him faster when he's making the move forward or run into the opponent half. I believe that pep guardiola knows all this but he can't do anything because he doesn't have the type of player like Kevin de bruyne to execute it perfectly well, when erling haaland is making the move into the opposition half.

I don't think it's going to happen this week because despite manchester City's performance in the Champions League, i don't think that will be an advantage for West Ham even though they are the host. On the other hand  Arsenal will be hosting everton which I am pretty sure that Arsenal would do well in that match especially when they will host the match.

Between arsenal and Manchester City, arsenal really have hope because they will be hosting at Emirates stadium, but despite that they really have to play very well because football is always full of surprises and I don't want to be disappointed this time around.

Currently 7pt separating both clubs (Manchester City and Arsenal) and it doesn't seem like they'd let go of this one like risk it to Arsenal to win the league, if you ask me which title to forget I'd say City should forget the UCL because they can't beat Madrid in the second leg, something similar might happen for them to lose to Madrid. For the Gunners, is left for them to win their next EPL game and do everything possible to get a win against Leverkusen and if it happens this way then Manchester City should be ready to focus on one competition.

You say after elimination it might change? I think if it's going to be that way they might just not commit to the Champions League and just focus on the Premiere right?
In the sense they play a lot to play and patience, they have made their stage presence, but I think there is a breaking point between players (who are tired) and coach, no one takes it out of my head.

Arsenal still has a chance for the Champions League, but the competition is also tough, as we can see. Unlike Man City, which probably really needs to focus more on the Premier League. They cannot afford to drop any more points. 
Man City and Arsenal will also compete in the EFL Cup final, but it might not be as important as the Premier League. The point difference can still be caught up if Arsenal experiences enough bad luck. The competition in the Premier League will continue until the end of the season.

This is true, it does feel impossible but before the match ends there will always be an open chance to create a surprise. They just need to work hard to give their best. Even though it looks difficult, it will not make them disappointed because they have worked hard and the final result is the trophy. Moreover, Tottenham and Man City will play at home. So, there is a mentality that will receive full support from the fans and that is very useful. Giving up is the same as being foolish, football always has luck that can come at any time.
