I've watched a few videos, sadly they just touched lightly upon the casino itself though. They operate 24/7 yes, since the ship was rented out for more than a day or two most of the time iirc.  I think the odds are a bit higher than normal? Because casinos charge a lot more towards the cruise ship with regards to the machines that they use and other related stuff like that. Might have changed though since this was like from a vlog I watched a few years ago.

The limits vary from ship to ship afaik, but it generally doesn't differ that stray that far from land-based limits. As for variety, they offer roughly the same, you'd probably find it hard to find some niche categories though if you wanted, though generally the most famous games like blackjack, slots, roulette should be in there.

i never got the chance to play casino on a cruise ship but my uncle once said the atmosphere on a cruise ship casino was amazing.  My uncle is a worker on the MSC Cruises cruise ship ^{(if you have heard of it)} he said that the casino there is very busy but the operating hours are of course not 24 hours, even only on certain days the casino is open because the cruise ship does not always have passengers and usually the passengers are rich people who deliberately want to spend their money there ^{(even my uncle once said there are some rich footballers who play on that cruise ship casino)}

if we look closely at people we can see that a casino on a ship would not make many people play in it every day and lose all their money in the casino, because people go on a ship to have fun, so if by chance there is any casino on the ship so people will play in that casino just for fun, and I think that the casino on the ship will already be prepared for that and probably won't have many games, since the casino will only work during the time they are on a trip along with the casino, this is an important point that the casino owner will take into account

I have a bunch of friends who are working on cruise ships and one of them was based on a gambling-related post (most of them are in restaurants). As far as his shared experience is concerned, there is not much difference when you played in a casino on a cruise ship and land-based. It's just that the gambling entertainment was simply brought out of the sea doing the same function as it was on the land.

No idea about the payout rate as never it did mention to us. As for the minimum bet, I think that's not a big deal to ask for.

As also per him, the operation is not 24 hours. Only a few staff are working on the whole casino and there's no shifting schedule (based on his cruise line). Adding to that, he mentioned that not all cruise ship does have a casino that's why sometimes, he's having difficulty getting back at his work field (or they called it recommendations),, and mostly idle for over a year every after his home arrival.

    -   All cruise ships have casinos, and as far as I know, the games you can see there are all good, although I have never been on a cruise ship, the ones I only see in movies. But I have a friend who also likes to gamble in land based casinos.

He showed me that he has a discount card but I'm not sure, he was telling me that there are days when he loses 40k of our money and that his lowest loss is around 100$ something, and there It is also said that he won 1200$ in one day by being lucky.

I only traveled once on a cruise, but it was only along the Brazilian coast and here casinos are prohibited, so I didn't have that opportunity.

Like everything else on a cruise, I believe that prices should be higher than in a conventional casino, either because the target audience is higher class people or because of the operating cost, which should be higher.
But I'm sure of one thing... it will be much harder to rob a casino on the high seas and get away

I haven't been in a cruise ship, but I will speculate that,

Operating hours will be 24x7, that's why they also get a lot of service crews to cater to their rich clients.

Of course, payouts are going to be comparable and the same to land based casino, maybe they can adjust the RTP or something. But if it is US cruise ship, then they have to follow the gaming commissions rules.

Betting Limit will be the same.

Perhaps this could be the big difference, maybe the games in a cruise ship being offered might be limited as obviously the space can't be compare to a regular land based casinos.

I have never done it, and I can only imagine that the casino will only be filled with gamblers who have huge capital so their minimum bets will also be large because to be able to enjoy a vacation by cruise ship alone is quite expensive so those who gamble at the casino are of course it's just a high roller, and the reason for gambling on a cruise ship could be because that's the main goal because they really like gambling with expensive facilities, especially if it's a very expensive cruise ship to be able to enjoy the services but it could also be because they want to enjoy all the facilities on the cruise ship as part of the vacation that is being enjoyed and what is certain is that they are all people with a lot of funds, and not all gamblers and people can enjoy or do that because it takes a lot of money.

regarding the question posed by the OP, I can't answer because I don't have experience there, but for what I know, it looks like the minimum bet amount will be the same as a land casino and for operational hours, as I know, it seems like it will only start during the day and night.
but this is just speculation from me and I say once again that to be honest I haven't had any experience gambling on a cruise ship.

I have not yet had the opportunity nor the desire to go on a cruise but I am sure there is some high level gambling going on, on that cruise. If they do no have a casino, a pool, and more luxuries then whats the point? If it does not have those things its not a cruise its basically a fishing ship with nothing to do for their guests.

I hear there are even cruises that can take you out on international waters where everything is legal and you can do anything you want. Although going out so far can be a recipe for disaster. I would probably pass on such a journey.

The casinos on cruise ships should be top quality though. Otherwise they are wasting your money.

Sometimes I enjoy slots on cruise ship.  The slots on cruise ships certainly seem to be much more constrained than the slots at land-based casinos.  However, I enter having already spent the money I have set aside for gambling.  If I do win something, fantastic, that money will be applied to my SeaPass account.

I believe they have a quite small limit, especially on maximum betting compared on the land base casino. But the limit minimum betting depends on each casino, cannot really determine these one (It's always the policy of casino).

Cruise is operating 24/7 business, and CASINO is almost the same (they designed is always without a clock). So the people are not getting reminded how much they play on casino.

I've never had this kind of experience yet but I'd love to experience this in the future if I would have a chance. I have only seen it in movies before and it seems like a promising experience. The experience of being on a cruise ship is already memorable so playing a casino on it would be a remarkable experience for sure.
I think only huge ships would operate 24/7 casino or they will mostly have limitations for this unless their cruise service is just meant for casino gaming. To be honest I want to try a vacation on a cruise ship, unfortunately besides the cost is very expensive. even for the most standard class, it's still very expensive for me personally. and, even though I was saving up to try a cruise vacation. it seems, something that is difficult for me to do with my work activities and routine. so, this type of vacation is not ideal for me personally.

This experience is unknown to me, because I've never sailed through the seas in my life. I just heard some reports, what makes me believe everything inside the cruise ship is more expensive than on the land, so I suppose the floating casino must be more expensive as well: minimum bets, drinks and snacks sold there, house edge... I haven't been in a cruise ship before but from what I have seen in movies and on documentary about cruise ship, it surely going to be an awesome experience having to experience gambling on the sea. I think the operating hours won't be 24/7 hours because the operators will need rest too.

Cruise ship are very costly, you're on a vacation when you board a cruise ship and since anything done while on vacation are usually costly, I believe it'll be very costly to bet on cruise ships and since the bet will be costly, it won't be more profitable than betting on land casinos.

The betting limit will also be high because they know those on the cruise ship don't have other options than to use the casino on the cruise ship so they'll make it expensive and they'll have varieties of games because this cruise ship are well planned always.

As far as I know, my friend went to this cruise ship in Europe and he told me that casinos there had limited games.  There were slots and the environment was pretty conducive for gambling but expect less games than your typical casino.

Personally, I would definitely avoid gambling in cruise ships due to its nature. When you are in a vacation, you are expected to relax and enjoy the peaceful serenity of such limited time. Engaging myself in a stressful situation may make or break the whole vacation in the cruise. There is also that potential of losing so much money to the point that the entire vacation is somehow ruined for you, including your family.
