It has been reiterated several times on this forum and other crypto related platforms that stolen bitcoin cannot be recovered once it’s stolen or sent to the wrong address until the recipient sends it back themselves when contacted.

Beginners should be aware that if you got scammed from Bitcoin is long lost since it’s untraceable. Bitcoin is nothing but a digital currency and the keys are the safety of it and if you lose those keys you can’t get them back. But if you got scammed from your Bitcoin you would be ask to contact your main provider of your wallet where they’re kept and got hacked from. If you’re lucky you’ll get them back, otherwise they’re lost forever.

According to information coming from Adapt System Tech, an agency portrayed to be able to recover compromised wallets, wallet issues etc. They require you to provide personal information for the recovery process.

They require you to provide money if you’re interested in recovering your Bitcoin back. They make it look like you’re dealing with a real agencies and not some frauds. Don’t be in haste to give them their demands, this is a red flag website that looks so real in their organization and how well they built their website. Newbies should be wary and not to fall in such hands.

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

They require you to provide money if you’re interested in recovering your Bitcoin back.

That alone is already a sign that the platform is a scam. Bitcoin transactions are irreversible, so it is highly unlikely that the funds can be recovered unless the recipient willingly returns the bitcoin to the sending address, which is unlikely to happen. Awareness is crucial, and with proper knowledge, it becomes easier to identify scam websites or platforms.

If they were truly legitimate, they might not require upfront payment. Instead, they could charge a certain percentage as a fee based on the amount they are able to recover. That would be a win-win situation for the clients.

I'm very new to cryptocurrency and I had high hopes of making big money, just like the ads on YouTube say.
I deposited a large sum of money into a website via wire transfer.
I now realized that I got scammed.
I called the Bank of America's wire transfer department and told them about this scam.
They said it's possible to retrieve the money back, provided the recipient bank is willing to comply.
The recipient's bank is Chase Bank in Ohio.

I asked the person how is it possible to get the money back once it was in the hands of the person who scammed me.
She said a lot of time the scammers keep the money in the bank. If the bank is willing to comply, which some have, they will freeze that bank account, do their own investigation, and if they discover it is a scam, they will return the money.

So that's where I am now.
Bank of America told me it can take anywhere from 10 to 30 days.

Thanks for for the heads-up OP. As it is now scammers are everywhere looking for unsuspecting victims to scam of their hard earned resources. I pity for those desperate ones who have no idea on what to do when they are in such situations. They fall easily and become the victims of this nefarious act perpetrated  by these scammers.

On a normal, everyone should know that  wallets are a private property and anyone opening a wallet should be able to hold his/her private keys and not give it out to a third party otherwise they stand a chance if being scammed of their resources.

On no account should anybody be fooled by any s called website claiming to be able to recover lost wallets and asking you to pay for their services. Do not deal with them as they are scammers. Only you have access to your wallet as you alone have the private keys to It. Do not disclose your keys to anybody.

Stay safe and protect your assets!

Just like what mirakal said, the pseudo-anonymous nature of bitcoin makes it very hard for any confirmed transaction to be reversed. The only way is when the hacker is smart enough and leave a trace, like transferring the funds to centralized exchanges. At this stage if the amount is somewhat too big and the authorities connive with this exchange then they would be able to expose the identity of the hacker. But this would cause a lot of money and even this is not guaranteed. So all this site are just scam.

OP i would advise you put those kind of links in code format like this so that they are not clickable  and so that it is not regarded as someone spreading malware links on the forum (which are mostly what this kind of sites are]. Here is an example

It has been reiterated several times on this forum and other crypto related platforms that stolen bitcoin cannot be recovered once it’s stolen or sent to the wrong address until the recipient sends it back themselves when contacted.
That is true because bitcoin is decentralized. People should avoid scammers and hackers and only send bitcoin to the correct addresses. If bitcoin is sent to a wrong address, that will likely be the end and the person will not be able to get the coin back.

This is just another way some people are scammed again. If they believe those recovery service sites and they send them money, they are only scammed again and nothing will be done.

The only people that can be helpful are the chain analytics companies like Chainanlysis which are well known. But you will pay them large amount of money, which means that it is good if the person lost huge amount of money.

Beginners should be aware that if you got scammed from Bitcoin is long lost since it’s untraceable.
Beginners should not believe that your writing is accurate because Bitcoin is not a privacy, with its public ledger. Everyone can trace Bitcoin transactions with block explorers. Untraceable, could you give me where you learn this knowledge?

Bitcoin Whitepaper does not have any word about untraceable.

This is the reason why one should be careful is he is transferring his bitcoin to another wallet and when doing it,you don't need to be in a rush so that you don't mistakenly send it to a wrong address. Providing your information wouldn't change anything because you bitcoin is gone forever.

If you send any funds to anyone giving you assurance that he can retrieve back your coins is only in the process to scam you and if you fall for it,your funds is gone. Don't believe whatever anyone say about getting back your lost bitcoin because it is impossible. It is only possible if the service is giving back what was stolen from you,if the hacking of your wallet was based on their own poor security network.

According to information coming from Adapt System Tech, an agency portrayed to be able to recover compromised wallets, wallet issues etc. They require you to provide personal information for the recovery process.
They provide different features like the following ones and i am quite amazed and confused about how they will bring the lost money from exchanges and ICOs. This really hits me, other than any personal information, i just checked that they are asking for email, fraud company name and amount, etc. How can their results be so accurate in there stats while the risk in this work is like high for getting failure as result.

The thing is this website is just a small phishing site from the big pile.
this is a red flag website that looks so real in their organization and how well they built their website. Newbies should be wary and not to fall in such hands.
Dear Op, i personally checked the website and after giving a glance just at the logo i knew this website is not that well sophisticated because the logo represents the summary of your company and it must be well designed but that logo was just some lower level of skill set or maybe it would AI-generated. The point is that logo was not a professional one.

Second, i found text misplacement in their about section, i did not go anywhere else after pointing out the text mistake so maybe there would be other mistakes too.
.

I understand your concerns about newbies safety from these websites but I think most of the newbies who lost there money do realize that if they are using decentralized platform then there is no back way for that money and if the platform is centralized then there are slight chances for money I come back just like in FTX exchange scam. But still, I did not get the idea of bringing this website in front of our eyes? Is there any specific reason.

If you find a site theme with display and graphic content that is completely irrelevant to what is offered, plagiarism in almost every reading, discrepancies at several points, it's definitely a scam. As an example of the site that the OP brought:

- Reviews written starting in 2020 while domain registered in 2022 by whois.
- Some parts of the text are copied from several reputable service sites.
- Such site themes are only $5, don't look professional.

This space for rent.

These scammer would always device newer different means of scamming the unsuspecting newbies in the the disguise of rendering help. That is why it's recommended for every newbie to get to be knowledgeable about certain things concerning bitcoin so that when you're face with such scam as this you're already equipped with the idea that lost bitcoin are irretrievable so such deals is nothing close to a scam.

According to information coming from Adapt System Tech, an agency portrayed to be able to recover compromised wallets, wallet issues etc. They require you to provide personal information for the recovery process.
These scammers know how many people loose their cryptocurrency and know that not so many people know that when cryptocurrency is lost it cannot be recovered. The have put themselves in the position to still scam these people that refuse to let go of the cryptocurrency that they have lost. It has been said many times that cryptocurrency cannot be recovered when stolen on this forum, but many other people who are not on this forum, do not know this and they will continue to be victims.

Newbies need to know that cryptocurrency cannot be recovered when lost, not just to beware of a website that the Scammers behind it can abandon and form another new website with another name, but still the same fake service of recovering lost cryptocurrency.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful information. I have falling victim of scams on several occasions. Perhaps if I had joined this forum when I started my crypto journey, I wouldn't have made the numerous mistakes I made.

Back in 2021, I invested in an ICO that turn out to be a scam but someone made a post that he could help any willing investor get back his funds. He called himself a crypto syndicate and part of their job was to help people that are scammed get back their money as a way of sanitizing the crypto space and instilling confidence in people. Well, as the saying goes " He that is down need fear no fall"; so I sent my details and he went into work. To my greatest surprise, he recovered my funds and those of few others that reached out to him.

I wouldn't want to believe that he was part of the team as many would already be suspecting; I really want to believe that there are still a lot of decent guys in the crypto space who will go do there best to portray crypto in a good image.

I'm very new to cryptocurrency and I had high hopes of making big money, just like the ads on YouTube say.
I deposited a large sum of money into a website via wire transfer.
I now realized that I got scammed.
Following influencers without having a basic understanding of what you are going to embark on is the beginning of failure, because ignorance is a disease in and of itself.

I recommend that you conduct your own research before investing in any investment, not just Bitcoin, because most of these YouTubers are not genuine; some of them are advertising their own websites, which may lead to scams. To avoid scams, do not take any advise from any influencer without first conducting additional investigation.

Quote

Do you believe the bank has the authority to return your money to you?

The bank may appear supportive, but they may not have the legal authority to pay you your money back; therefore, do not spend any money in the bank to recover this; it is better not to lose two money.

Thank for the information op.
This is why everyone needs to have the right information before investing in cryptocurrencies, especially in situations like this. If you are knowledgeable about Bitcoin and familiar with all of Bitcoin in and outs, I don't think any con artists will try to take advantage of you in this way because you already know that you cannot recover lost Bitcoin unless the person that received it try to send back. Therefore, if someone claims they can help you get your lost Bitcoin back, you will be able to tell if they are a fraud.I will thus urge newcomers to do thorough research before they engage in the bitcoin investment because, despite whatever new techniques scammers may use, if newbie knowledgeable about the way Bitcoin blackchain work I think it may not be readily fooled by scammers traps.

Due to the state of the victims mental health after losing their bitcoin, websites like this can quickly entice the victim to just click on the page and proceed with making payment and giving their personal information, all in the hopes of recovering their stolen bitcoin or compromised wallet. This is one another reason why knowledge is powerful and should not be taken for granted.

In the long run, a lack of sufficient, basic information and comprehension of cryptocurrency investment, security, and privacy can result in irreplaceable financial loss. It is preferable to have a solid understanding of your investment before you begin, even if you want to invest outside of bitcoin.

A crypto newbie should even be aware that they cannot recover their crypto asset if it is lost. The reason why I said so is because if you want to create a crypto wallet, you will mostly see some warnings like, "Never share your wallet's phrase or private key with anyone, because if it's lost, it can never be recovered." I also got those warnings, and for a crypto newbie to have seen those warnings while creating their wallet and yet still neglect those instructions to give their details to scammers on the internet, then it's just a kind, stupid act, knowing fully well that you got a warning that if you lose your wallet phrase, you cannot recover it. Well, the information is well passed, and it would be helpful to some people who are not yet very aware of the many scams going on in the crypto space.

Thats how some humans behave, they are very ignorant of simple guidelines given to them and this doesn't apply only to the crypto world, I mean almost all aspect of human life, well some of fall to these scam due to greed and overdose promise given to them which clouds their thought to the fact that their seed phrase  or private key is meant for them only and not for the eyes of any other person.

Only naive and desperate can fall into their scam.  I agree that due to mental state of the person who lost their Bitcoin and very desperate to recover it, they might forget the rationality of the offer by that scam site.  But for those who stay calm and collected can easily see their service as fraud since Bitcoin as we all know is irreversible, and an account being hacked, unless they are the hacker, the pursuer cannot forced these hacker to return the victim's money same goes with the scam ICO.
