In general, studies of all kinds of addictions, including addictions such as alcoholism, show that women become alcoholics much faster than men if they are placed in approximately the same living conditions.  This is probably a natural characteristic of the female body and ffemale psyche.  For the same reason, I would suggest that. in addiction to gambling and the transition of this addiction or hobby into a real addiction to gambling, which can safely be considered a disease, occurs faster in women than in male gamblers.  I made this conclusion by analogy with alcohol addiction, but of course I am not sure that this pattern holds true in the case of gambling addjiction.

Maybe the pattern can be used in cases of gambling addiction. Still, we also have to know that other factors can cause someone to become addicted to gambling, such as playing gambling continuously, not having control over the use of money, having thoughts about making money from gambling, and others. Maybe men have a chance of becoming addicted to gambling more quickly than women, but men and women have the same chance of becoming addicted to gambling. When they want to stop gambling, there must be a desire from within so that they can think that there are other things they can do and not gamble continuously. By trying to do small things that can enable them to change or reduce their gambling addiction and if they can do this continuously without stopping, they will see that they can stop gambling sooner or later.

Psychologists have noticed that people become addicted to gambling in which two types of temperament intersect. The first type is narcissistic personalities. These are leaders who do not like to sit on the sidelines and are ready to prove their importance over and over again. They want everything at once and see a similar opportunity in the casino, because there you can win the jackpot with the first bet. The second psychotype is athletes by temperament, fighters. People who have been taught since childhood to fight to the end, forgetting about the pain, and try to get what they want. It is at the intersection of these two characters that a person has the maximum chance of becoming addicted to gambling.

So, I think that in these characteristics of the human psyche lies to some extent the question of gender inequality in relation to gambling addiction.  It just turns out that women with a narcissistic character and also women with the qualities of a fighter, an athlete, a person who  p ersistently strives for success and the highest step of the pedestal are still fewer in percentage terms than men.
 And since there are fewer such personality types among women, then, accordingly, much fewer women reach the stage of gambling addiction compared to the male part of the population.
