If someone is still in a phase which allows them to get attention and support from family members who genuinely care about that situation, then I do not see why not to take that as an advantage and reveal the problem to them, so they can intervene.
It is one of the reasons I have explained in one thread about there about keeping gambling a secret hobby or secret activity. I would personally advice anyone who start gambling, to disclose it to their family and be open when one starts to struggle with loses, sometimes that kind of early honest can save many people from a late sadder development in their life.

It's  true that taking the advantage will really help the person to work out with his problem, addiction though got different criterias and it's always possible that instead of moving away the person who keeps on betting will suffer for more problem, I like that opinion where you are willing to disclose whatever it is that you are facing during your gambling session, with the knowledge of those people they can help to guide you to go back and reset everything.

It is also constructive not only relying on the person's will power only in order to face addiction to gambling, in my opinion. If someone is still in a phase which allows them to get attention and support from family members who genuinely care about that situation, then I do not see why not to take that as an advantage and reveal the problem to them, so they can intervene.
It is one of the reasons I have explained in one thread about there about keeping gambling a secret hobby or secret activity. I would personally advice anyone who start gambling, to disclose it to their family and be open when one starts to struggle with loses, sometimes that kind of early honest can save many people from a late sadder development in their life.

It will not be applicable to everyone since not everyone has a reliable family and support system to lean on. But for those people that have a good support system, it will be your advantage if you will share your gambling habits to your trusted family member or friend. We humans does have that so called senses, awareness, mindset or whatever that it is really that correlated in between. It is really just that there are people who are really that neglecting out on what are  the things that really need to be done but instead they do really make out that tolerance on something which they do know which is right and doesnt really care about on the negative effects
as long they could really be able to deal with on the current things that they've been doing. Gambling addiction is really a one tough problem on someone and on the time that you do get hooked into it,

Once a person is in that state it is very difficult for them to stop without any help, however even if their family members were willing to help them, it is unlikely they will actually listen as they are not going to believe they cannot recover the money they have lost, it is only once they have lost it all when they finally understand what they have done, but by that time it is too late and there are even some of their family members which will at the time want nothing to do with them as they will be incredibly mad at how irresponsible they were.

I have a family I know where the husband, who is also the father of two school-age children, is practically addicted to gambling.  And I want to draw your attention to the fact that this Is indeed a very difficult and serious test for all members of this family.  The fact is that this man, no matter how his wife and his elderly parents and even his children begged him, he did not listen to them at all.  He was like someone possessed, almost crazy.  And he played all the time.  And to physical casinos and online too.  And naturally he lost everything, even the last money from the family budget.  Often there were scandals in the family and the wife simply did not know what to do.  But gradually he began to understand that he needed treatment.  And he began to go to some kind of prevention, like an Alcoholics Anonymous club.  And, I’ll tell you, not immediately, but after five or seven years, he finally got rid of this addiction.  And he became a completely normal person, and even plays very rarely, but of course in amounts that he can afford without damaging the family budget.  You can say he is losing his pocket money in small change. 
But he no longer has such an attraction to gambling. 
So sometimes gambling addicts are cured, although with difficulty.

It was a sad story that had a happy ending because the man was finally able to cure his gambling addiction even though he had to do it for five or seven years before he was free from his gambling addiction. He is truly a man who can do it for his family, and he has seen what the hardest impact of gambling addiction can be on his family. But thankfully, he is now no longer interested in gambling, and this is proof that someone who has a serious gambling addiction can be cured even with difficulty, and this is a blessing for his family. Finally, he was able to cure himself of gambling addiction. He finally understood that he needed treatment, and there was no resistance from him so he could complete healing from his gambling addiction. What this means is that people out there who have experienced even the most severe gambling addiction still have hope of curing their gambling addiction.

I will also add that for many years this man, even if he decides to play some kind of game, can calmly stop playing at almost any moment.  It’s even surprising to me that such a transformation of his thinking occurred.  After all, he once suffered from a painful addiction to gambling; one might say he was simply an obsessed and inadequate person, and even partly crazy.  By the way, sometimes he plays with his children.  But all this is innocent and fun entertainment without even any hint of gaming addiction. 
and further.  This man works as a taxi driver and has no opportunity to gamble while working, which is probably also a good argument for avoiding gambling.
