For me I think the best way to fight addiction is by letting someone else manage your funds for you, someone you trust, could be your secretary or anyone you trust. The person could be in charge of your funds and would only release funds to you if the reason is good enough. You'll see that if that happens, you won't get the chance to gamble with every little chance you get, I feel this process would be quite effective of one really wants to fight addiction.

It can be good but not everyone will get the desired results. There are some gamblers who keep money with others and bring it back when needed. Refusal to pay there can lead to worse than good situations. If someone is unfaithful then the situation can go from bad to worse. If that person is not trustworthy then there is a possibility of losing the money kept with other. It is best for the gambler to gradually control himself from the addiction at his own effort. If he fails completely on his own then he can find the help of someone else in the family who can certainly be helpful to him.

One should know better than to trust his money into the hands of someone who isn't trustworthy, when I mean trusting your funds with someone, I mean someone you're very sure you can trust, someone you're sure wouldn't breech the contract.
And again, it should be a formal agreement and breeching would attract consequences. The person should be fully aware of this terms so I dmt think that he'll go ahead ahead to do that. I know humans are not to be trusted and absolutely unpredictable but there are people you can trust with tasks like this
