Sorry but you are wrong if this is what you mean, don't downplay the level of luck some people have when it comes to gambling, aside the fact that we all preach and advice people to not go too deep into gambling, to avoid addiction and too much losses the gambler may possibly not be able to bear, gambling indeed have changed alot lives, have made people turn rich over night, a once a street boy in my area here in my country who hardly had good food to eat, sometime 4 years ago won what I consider a substantial amount of money, sources said money was above $100,000 dollars, he won a parley in sport betting, and long story short, this guy now lives in America, doing very well for himself, during christmas celebration last year, he sent his father a brand new 2022 Toyota Prado plus the house he built for him.

Gambling can change lives, and only the ignorant will say or believe otherwise, but same way it can change lives, it can also destroy lives if not done properly, and this why we have a guideline and rules, and one of such rules states that we should gamble responsibly.

yeah you right gambling not something you take as an income source or something that can give daily profit too because is all about luck so either wins or lose.
Is not easy to persuade a gambler to stop because he or she will be like  they haven't achieved the goal they wanna achieved or the jackpot they wanna hit so they will keep going but the painful truth that most of them end up ruin there lives or some end up hitting that certain jackpot that end up being a life changer to them.

Even those that were lucky enough to get the win they wanted to obtain will not be satisfied and will keep gambling, after all if they put themselves a goal and they were able to reach it then why not do the same again and earn more money this way? So no matter what happens those people will keep gambling as long as they have some money to do it, this is why it is so important to never let your gambling out of control, because once that happens a recovery attempt will most likely not happen until you lose everything.

Those who can control their gambling habit still hand over the jackpot back to the casino. Time or duration is the difference. Unless a gambler stopped gambling, almost impossible, after winning a jackpot, he'd spend all the money in gambling. We all need to accept that gambling is not easy to stop, for a responsible gambler, not to speak of an addicted gambler. We'd be looking at bigger troubles from the addicted person. The money may not stay for a longer duration, until it gets exhausted. Being able to delay gravity, can do, for a gambler to manage his big wins. Hardly have I seen a gambler that stopped gambling after winning a jackpot but have read them in articles. Yet don't believe it. Because it seems to be almost impossible for a gambler to quit gambling immediately, he gets a big win. Some claim they invested the money back to their businesses. Which is quite a great idea. That means the person wasn't gambling for any other thing, other than his personal business. Gamblers who ventured into gambling for the purpose of it, have no reason to stop gambling, when there is enough money to pay for months or years of gambling experience. Most times it's nobody's fault, people's motives vary and needs to be blamed.

I can agree with what you said, because it is really true that if we can properly manage our gambling habit, there is a big chance that we will not become addicted in the end as long as we don't neglect it.

Also, quitting gambling is not an easy thing to avoid because, most likely, they went through the process before becoming addicted. That's why it's the same with quitting gambling; there's a proper process before actually getting out of gambling.
