So you are buying a dip? I am not sure if you know that buy low(dip) and sell high is supposed to be a joke? It's not a real advice because it's obviously based on hindsight.
I suspect that is not necessarily correct.
Consider the case where one acts akin to a kind of market-making bot.
("
Mad John" allusional aside: Organic Peripherals, of which humans are an example, are a type of bot frequently encountered in the wild...)
Place a column of evenly (in price) spaced sell offers ascending, ideally, from the lowest possible price to way beyond "stratospheric" prices.
("
Mad John" allusional aside: Ah the times I have awoken after placing sell offers up not merely to three times as high as I imagined the price would or could go but three times
that, to find myself priced out of the game by its ascent way beyond even
that level... Which, by the way would seem to cast doubt upon any accusations of uncanny prognosticatory abilities having been involved... And shewing that despite twice-over (3X each time) hindsight a lesson not at the time having yet sunk in fully... To think, I could be in Monero to this day had I gotten enough of it fast enough, or merely spread my sell offers thinly enough, to have not had it skyrocket out of my sell-column's reach... Man what a bowl of cornflakes that were but where were we man oh yeah...)
Place a column of evenly (in price) spaced buy offers ascending, ideally, from the lowest price the platform offers.
If "supporting" the sell-side coin, build one's buy-side at least twice as dense as one's sell-side so that upon putting proceeds of sells back on buy side one does not accidentally build the buy side up past the halfway point of the buyers' buys (as when they buy a column of equally sized in sell side units offers the average price they just paid is halfway up that column of "their buys").
Presto, hindsight required only in guessing upfront that only piling sell offers nine times as high as highest price imagined to be feasible was found, historically - empirically - to not always have been high enough.
