Litecoin halving next month - worth investing?

I have only just come across Litecoin after reading it’s next halving is in early August.

Everyone says how well the markets move when Bitcoin halving occurs so is it not an ideal time to invest in Litecoin with its halving so close?

I am thinking of throwing in a bit of money in the hope it at least does a 2x in the next month or so.

Anyone else into Litecoin and will it rise during the halving next month?

I think it a bit in a hast for you to speculate a time frame for your investment even though you mentioned that litecoin went through a halving stage which means that litecoin cyclating supply will reduce which can possibly increase or value.


But then also we have to take note of the risk associate with this and to know when exactly is the best time to jump on them since buying at the wrong time can lead to loses on the long run.

I’ve been preparing for this halving but I think there will be no big movement next since the market is still down and just like of previous halving, the price usually still the same. The real question is after the halving, maybe a year or month, we might see the big changes already. LTC is still a good coin, try to hold more and wait for you to take profit, I’m also bullish with LTC.

I say 2x in a month is kind of too much of an expectation? Just based on what its chart is, its peak wasn't even anywhere close to the halving, it was like 2 years after, and the prior halving (if I looked this up correctly), the price actually started dipping after the halving. And while it did go up prior to it, I don't think a 2x would be an amount you'd honestly expect. While you can expect some profits imo, I reckon you should DCA on it instead, at least maybe for the next year or 1 1/2, or wait for a longer time frame instead when investing right now.

There's no way to be certain because Litecoin doesn't have the same level of traction that Bitcoin has. If it were in the early days of litecoin back when it was still one of the favorite altcoins on people's list, then maybe it would've made a big deal. However, with the level of traction it has now. Not so much. But as other altcoins, the fundamental impact of this might cause a surge in the price since a lot of people would be inclined to buy hoping for the price to increase prior to the halving.

My play would be to to monitor rhe price on futures and manage to get some positions in with moderate leverage. Then scale up from there.

If I have some spear money I will buy some litecoin to hold at this point since the halving is around the corner and the possibility of the price increase intensively is there but giving the investment a two month frame to have a 2x price movement as you speculated may be the hard thing in this case since a lot is at stake and if care is not taken it may take longer to see such price increase in the bitcoin market price.

It could also be ideal if you want to invest in Litecoin. What I am seeing from people that are optimistic with Litecoin isn't just because the halving is approaching but more on, they believe with its use case.

Honestly, only a few people got to look and become interested in Litecoin because it did not really have the potential to grow and be profitable. We can't blame them either because even me, it never encourages us to invest. Because it was not just the halving is our metric to see if that project has the potential to grow but we are looking at its monthly performance and sadly, Litecoin doesn't make it well which it means that there are no active trades happening. And even if the halving comes next month this won't hype the project and see no impact on its price.

Unlike Bitcoin, the price action on Litecoin typically peaks a couple weeks BEFORE the halving.

Litecoin used to be in the top five coins in Coinmarketcap; although it has lost interest the past few years, LTC has gained decent ground throughout 2023 and has been performing quite well the past few months. Despite the current upsetting market situation, it has doubled in price in less than 12 months. Certainly, the halving won't affect its price as much compared to Bitcoin, but I'm quite positive that Litecoin is preparing for a great comeback in the cryptocurrency scene. Only in the past seven days has it been met with an increase in price of over 15%; that's a great number, if you ask me.

I'm not expecting miracles to happen after the halving, but I wouldn't be surprised if we see an even larger recovery that will at least increase its value to half of what the ATH was (approximately $400).

If there's a hyping news that can help for its growth then why not? Litecoin is also one of the best crypto in the market and I guess having this on your wallet while litecoin is about to happen is good decision since price might have a good chance to pump. Knowing the halving word is kinda a good word to read especially with those investors who always speculate something good to happen when this event comes.

It will not happen in months. It will happen only if bitcoin will be going to increase too. You shall not expect something big to come from litecoin halving.
It's not the same like bitcoin fork coin which has been pumped so hard recently. Litecoin will not do 2x in a short time. It will be waiting for bitcoin to be done with its next halving.

It will not rise during the halving next month. I do believe litecoin will not even make any movement till halving end.
The rise of litecoin actually depends with the movement of bitcoin. If bitcoin will be stagnant and litecoin does too. I don't even think litecoin will be pumped due to the halving.

Litecoin is pretty much a sidelined coin right now. There aren't any major upgrades for the past few years and there are no known events for litecoin that are lined up in the near future except for the halving. It still has a thriving community though, but not big enough to influence the price in such a way that it goes big afterwards. I guess if you already have the coin, it's good to wait for a the halving and react based on the market movements. Or if you're looking to buy in, do it in amounts that you can shoulder if it ever goes bust.

Litecoin has been very volatile recently. I also don’t think it’s because of the halving. Many other legacy coins like BCH also pumped. If it’s due to the halving then it’s just a coincidence and not a direct cause.

I don’t think the halving really matters for any coins except Bitcoin. And in bitcoins case, it usually pumps months after the halving.

It pulled back below $100 so maybe if it goes to $90 before the halving it would be a safe entry. But who knows. Maybe the top is already in.

Do your own research. Does Litecoin Halving really influence its price so that you can make profits? The answer is no.

Historical data shows that the price of Litecoin is not affected in any way with halving, and it may have been linked to the Bitcoin market more than any other than halving, and Litecoin as an idea that presents itself as a cheap and fast currency certainly has not become a unique or new idea.

It is not a golden opportunity that will generate you a lot of money.

I don't have ideas worth or not investing in Litecoin due close halving time next month, actually without twenty days later Litecoin halving time and current LTC price still not stable after raising higher price last three day to $114 and right now drop again under $100. Research again if interested for investing in Litecoin although almost close with halving time because not only depend with halving but also Litecoin price follow with bitcoin.

Exactly. But I still think that Litecoin is a good crypto. Not as an asset, but as a currency. Its transactions are cheap and fast, and as far as I know, the blockchain is pretty safe, to say the least.
