If he earns profit from it, then he is an investor since anything that you put money on and expect a return on is already an investment, but if he just uses it like we use cash, receives it, and spends it, then he is a user of Bitcoin since he saw that Bitcoin is a good, anonymous, fast transaction, and probably this is the payment method that his merchant is asking for, which is why he is using it. It is not only holding Bitcoin; there are a lot of types of investors in Bitcoin: traders, staking, holders, and others who accept it as a payment method and hold it for a long time for profit.

Anybody that earn from Bitcoin investment either yearly, monthly, weekly and daily are called Bitcoin investors because they are holding for profit making which are very important to long term investors and short term investors in the community. If you are a type of person who buy Bitcoin when the price is low in the market and sell little or all when the price is high in the market just to ensure you make a good profits at the moment you are a Bitcoin investor. You can have wallets and nothing is inside the wallet you are not a Bitcoin investor, but when you start purchasing bitcoins and hold for the for the wallets for the right time to come before you can sell you are now a Bitcoin investor.

Everyone that uses Bitcoin in right way meaning either they are for Trading or Payment method but constantly doing it are already considered as investors , it does not need to be Holding to be an investor because the moment you buy Bitcoin and uses it you already invested in this crypto and already trusted the coin.

Our crypto markets have two kinds of users, the retail user and the big boys aka the whale investors...which means anybody that is using their crypto almost on a daily basis and in small chunks is definitely going to be classified as a retail user and if you buying or selling huge sums of bitcoins then you can be called a whale.

Btw using a particular wallet can not define what kind of  bitcoin user you are unless the amount of coins one hodls!

In some way this could be true...but the whole idea of investing is waiting for value of a coin to grow after a certain period.

Btw when someone talks about an investor in our crypto circles,  usually this should mean they are buying  bitcoins, holding them for a while and when price goes say 5X or 20X whatever the multiplier then the can sell later on.

If you are holding Bitcoin in your wallets for a certain period of time or have invested any amount to get it for profits then it can be termed as investment even if you spend the coins.Suppose you get it and then immediately withdraw the amount then it can't be expressed as investment or make you investor.You need to hold it for specific time period atleast.

An investor is anyone that puts in any factor of production in a business intending to make monetary or non-monetary returns. A bitcoin investor just like other investors can invest short-term, medium-term, or long-term based on their investment plans. Bitcoin traders are an example of short or medium-term investors while holders always have long-term plans.

It is good to differentiate the wallets that are used for daily transactions and the others that are used for holding your investment. Hot wallets will be suitable for daily transactions or trading while cold wallets will be suitable for holding Bitcoin for a long time. Cold wallets are not exposed to hacks like hot wallets.

A bitcoin investor, in my opinion, is someone who purchases and retains bitcoin over an extended period of time with the intention of profiting from it. Therefore, whether for a short length of time or a long amount of time, any Bitcoin holder with the intention of benefitting should be regarded as a Bitcoin investor.

Some people just use one wallet, spending some of their bitcoin but never intending to spend it all. For instance, if a person possesses 4 bitcoins, they may opt to spend only 1, while holding onto the other 3 for the purpose of profiting from it.Due to its profit-oriented nature, I continue to view that person as Bitcoin investor too.

There are short term investors and long term investors and every Bitcoin buyers are not really investors, some are traders who trade daily to make profit, investors are those that believe in the future value of Bitcoin, and short term investors are those that buy and hold for a short period of time to make profits but long term investors want to be a big part of Bitcoin, they even plan to have Bitcoin when they are retired and spending the rest of their lives enjoying life.

The door is open to every type of Bitcoin investors and I don't care which is which, but I do care about myself and that's why I choose to be a long-term Bitcoin investor.

Only the true believers of Bitcoin becomes the long term holders and these are the type of people that deserve to be called Bitcoin investors, not those that chicken out after some downside movement, I mean, some people can't even take their eye off their Bitcoin wallet, when some rumours are spreading online they will quickly go check their balance.

These type of buyers are not real investors, they are looking for quick gains and they don't understand that Bitcoin doesn't work that way, you must hold for a very long time to get the best return of investment out of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin stands out among other digital currencies because of this, other coins promise a certain percentage of returns as passive income but they end up killing themselves in a short term.

To make it more better and simpler for you to enjoy not mixing the whole funds together, you will need to have two wallets, one will be the wallet which you will not spend from it but have your bitcoin over a long time in it, the other will be a wallet that will be holding little percentage of what you're having, whereby you can exchange from the wallet or send bitcoin to others from it, you also have to take an important notice that if you're to use a wallet that will have your long term investment with, it must be a decentralized wallet and a good example are the ones of cold storage, the only differences of everyone investing with bitcoin is their duration of investment and the type of wallet they are holding their coin through from the blockchain.

Even if you have 0.001BTC alone it is considered an investor no matter how many bitcoins are held in it will be considered the same as an investor.

Not only referring to bitcoin, there are many other types of assets there including as an asset owner then he is an investor, so not only in bitcoin.

Yeah I’m not sure that you’re really an “investor” if you’re not holding the assets for a period of time, or putting them towards something that is going to help them grow that bitcoin “investment” that they made. Someone who just buys bitcoin and then uses it to pay for items goods or services, in my opinion, aren’t really investing, but are “supporting” it.

Strictly speaking, somebody who is using Bitcoin as a currency is probably not a Bitcoin investor. I think profit is something that you can't take away from any investment. So an investor refers to somebody who spends money with the goal of making a profit later on. Therefore one who is into Bitcoin but isn't thinking of making money or having gains out of it is not an investor. He could simply be a Bitcoin believer or a Bitcoin supporter but he's not an investor.

No. If you use mainly BTC for transactions (which is actually a good thing as adapting to web3 currency), you're not an investor but only a consumer. Investing is accumulating an asset and letting it sit in a place for a long time until it yields profits or higher prices. You can say for a slang term that a "hodler" is equivalent to an investor. Well, you can be a short-term investor or a long term where it could take you 5 to 10 years to wait.

Yes, you have to wait. Because in investing you don't touch it or use it on your spending. But you buy it on the smallest amount and sell it for the highest possible amount. Most people mess up on the waiting part.

Some one who owns a wallet they spend bitcoin from, how are they getting the bitcoin they are spending in the first place? As long as they have a reliable source through which the earn the bitcoin they are spending, there is also the possibility that they have some bitcoin kept aside for future purposes, so yes, I could consider them a bitcoin investor too..

But then, on a normal days, those are holding bitcoin, whether bought or earned through any means, are those who are the true bitcoin investors, this is because, being an investor of a company means you either have a share in the company or you are holding an asset linked to the company for future profit and dividend in profit sharing of the company.
