When someone has a particular wallet which he spends Bitcoins from can he be considered a Bitcoin investor?
Or does the term investor refer only to those who hodl Bitcoin?

Both of these people are bitcoin investors imo. It doesn't necessarily mean that you should invest big amounts to become a bitcoin investor. You can invest $5 in bitcoin and still be an investor. Obviously you are not going to make much profits with that $5 worth of bitcoins but you are still an investor no matter what others say.

Here is another example:

You can own 1 AAPL share and still be an investor in AAPL. You can vote at the annual shareholders' meeting. The price of an AAPL share is around $200 nowadays.

Bitcoin is both an investment currency and a means of payment. If you patiently keep Bitcoin in your wallet for a long time, there may be an opportunity to make a profit when its price increases. However, the bitcoin price can fluctuate significantly, and returns are not guaranteed. As for the exact method of payment, Bitcoin was designed as a digital means of payment, but in reality, it is now considered more of a speculative asset than a means of payment.

For me personally, Bitcoin investors are individuals who set aside their money and save it in the form of Bitcoin, hoping to generate additional profits when exchanged for FIAT currency in the future. It is not significantly different from buying stocks as an investment or buying Bitcoin as an investment. Every person surely stores their wealth in the form of Bitcoin if they become Bitcoin investors.

Subsequently, they sell Bitcoin when it can yield profits or, alternatively, sell Bitcoin due to emergency financial needs.

For someone to spend bitcoin, he must at one point hold bitcoin before becoming a spender or he should have bought bitcoin, in either case, he is an investor at one point or another.

In business there four major types,  Manufacturer, Wholesalers, Retailer and Customer. A business without customer is not a good business. Upon all these different categories, they are all involved in the business process and that is how bitcoin investors are.

There are different categories of investors in bitcoin. I had seen in the forum different names of bitcoin investors according to their acquisition of bitcoin in the system but I have forgotten the particular thread.

When someone has a particular wallet which he spends Bitcoins from can he be considered a Bitcoin investor?
Of course. Anyone who holds their Bitcoin on a wallet is an investor. No matter how much the Bitcoin and how long he keeps it, we can call him an investor. But if he uses Bitcoin for trading, then we call him as a trader.

Or does the term investor refer only to those who hodl Bitcoin?
Hold Bitcoin and keep the Bitcoin on the wallet are the same, no difference.
The different may be about the goal, investor just hold the Bitcoin on wallet but a trader uses the Bitcoin for trading constantly.

IMO

Lots of posts are overlooking the question when the question is quite simple. An investor, someone who has confidence in a business, asset, commodity or the alike and backs it either by usage, promotion and/or money, with the hope of future gain. That's my definition of an investor, kind of tailored to Bitcoin.

An investor to me, in relation to Bitcoin, can be anyone who uses it or has confidence in it. Just like fiat money, which everyone is invested in (by order) and which value is upheld by confidence.  Anyone who spends Bitcoin must first buy (or invest) in it, having confidence in its spendability and usability.

Someone who hodl's and treats Bitcoin as a store of value, or hedge against inflation, or *insert bitcoin long term value proposition*, I'd consider a long-term investor.

According to my understanding, the term Bitcoin investors start with someone that understands the importance and benefit of Bitcoin. This will also be someone that has an interest in BTC through its technological features, is ready to take the risk involved in BTC investment, and also has a long-term perspective on her investment in BTC.

The typical perception of trader is an individual who engages in buying and selling in Bicoin or any other tradeable asset for short term gain, relying on technical analysis/charts and profit taking strategies to generate passive income from trading activity. On the other hand an investor is someone who purchases Bitcoin or any other asset after thoroughly understanding the fundamentals and its underlying technology/market dynamics and holds it for a comparatively longer period to realize substantial profit from their investment.

If he keeps most of his Bitcoins in that wallet, he can be categorized as a Bitcoin investor. But if he often spends his Bitcoin for various purposes, maybe he is an active Bitcoin user. As for people looking to profit from the difference in the price of Bitcoin on the market, they include traders.

But it seems that those who own Bitcoin can also be categorized as investors because they may have other goals than owning it. A person is said to be an investor when he keeps Bitcoins for a certain period.

And based on theforage.com/blog/careers/investor, investors are:

Quote
An investor is an individual or an organization that gives money to another person or organization hoping to see a future profit. Technically, anyone can be an investor: If you invest money into something, you are an investor. However, there is a difference between putting $20 in Bitcoin and investing $5 million in a startup.

It can actually be both ...

Trader/speculator - Refer to someone that actively buy and sell Crypto currencies to make a profit. These people seldom use their coins and they treat it as a commodity.

Crypto user - Refer to someone that are using Bitcoin as a currency to buy products or to pay for services. They do not care about hoarding coins to make a profit.

indeed many of us call a btc investor, because the name bitcoin is increasingly popular in this world. but I personally also don't really know who a BTC investor really is, but this time I will only tell you what I know.

In my opinion, what is called a btc investor is someone who buys btc with the aim of getting a profit from their investment in btc, so basically a btc investor is someone who owns btc.

Or does the term investor refer only to those who hodl Bitcoin?

For me, when a person intends to make a profit from bitcoin, they are an investor, but those who hold and use bitcoin as a means of payment, they are not a bitcoin investor.  and that's the great thing about bitcoin compared to all other assets, bitcoin can be both a currency, a method of payment, and it can also be an investment. it all depends on how each person uses bitcoin.
To become a bitcoin investor, you can trade, buy, sell, lend... not just hold to be called an investor.

Bitcoin was designed to stand as optional choice for means of transactions without a third party interference. But due to its limited supply many bitcoin users uses it as a store of value known as HODL,  for both short and long term investment's.  In a general way, so much as you're using bitcoin as ROI project of any nature you're a bitcoin investors

From my point of view, a person who owns some capital and uses it to spend it is not an investor since my investor term is that person who invests or decides to dedicate a part of their financial resources to a variety of assets, such as stocks, bonds, real estate and other types of investments, all of these activities clearly with your risk tolerance and financial goals in mind. Investors in any type of economy You can choose to make short or long-term investments, according to your particular needs and objectives, depending on your investment strategy and term.

Which brings me to the second point, which is where the question of this thread lies... does the term "investor" only refer to those who own Bitcoin? Well, I think that a Bitcoin investor is someone bold who dedicates part of their financial resources exclusively to this cryptocurrency. We, unlike traditional investors, are immersed in an exciting market where we not only spend our money, but also use it to buy and sell at the right time, looking for maximum returns. Sure, we have to take into account the staggering volatility of Bitcoin and the risk of significant losses! However, we always keep in mind the possibility of skyrocketing gains if the value of Bitcoin spikes in the future. But let me tell you that to be one of these investors requires an essential virtue: patience. As the old saying goes, "He who doesn't risk, he doesn't win."

Generally, when people call someone a Bitcoin investor, they simply mean that the person has invested money in Bitcoin but is not someone who spends Bitcoins. So, if you have used your fiat money and bought Bitcoin, and haven't sent them anywhere yet, you are a Bitcoin investor, but if you have bought Bitcoin and used them somewhere and don't have any anymore, you won't be considered a Bitcoin investor, if you are trading with your bought Bitcoins, you are also considered an investor.

But I think, if you have used your bought Bitcoins for trading altcoins, then you might be considered an altcoin investor since you won't have any Bitcoins anymore, so all in all, if you have bought Bitcoins and are holding at least some part of it, you are considered to be a Bitcoin investor.

When someone has a particular wallet which he spends Bitcoins from can he be considered a Bitcoin investor?
Or does the term investor refer only to those who hodl Bitcoin?
According to Oxford online dictionary, an investor is a person or organization that puts money into financial schemes, property, or an asset with the expectation of achieving a profit. So from this definition given above, it clearly shows the difference between the two scenario given above that a person who only spend Bitcoin is not an investor, as such individuals is only focus on executing transactions and not profit making, unlike someone who holds with the aim of waiting for the right time to sell and make profit. So I hope you understand now?

A Bitcoin investor is really someone who has utilised their financial resources to purchase and hold a certain amount of Bitcoin with the intention of profiting from their investment. These individuals have typically paid attention to the research on the crypto market and surely believe that Bitcoin offers a good investment opportunity because of its limited supply, increasing popularity, and potential for everyday transactions.

. Regardless of their level of experience, It goes without saying that these investors have the same goals, mainly to invest capital in a good way and get a reasonable return on it.

Investor is a person who has some coins set aside. This means that if you have a wallet you use for your daily needs, but you always have a certain amount of bitcoin that you don't spend, you are an investor.

Let's say you have 10k in bitcoin, and you sometimes spend some of it, but then buy or earn it back, so that you continue to maintain a positive balance, you're an investor.
Now, is a trader also an investor. This is an interesting question and I'd say that a trader who holds coins on exchange is technically an investor, although taking a lot of unnecessary risk.

I understand that an investor is one who incorporates his asset into a project that may have the potential to increase said "invested" amount...so if bitcoin is spent in this case, it could be said that said function is not working since it does  would not return anything, otherwise it would be if this expense were to buy more of this currency in order to have more possibilities of earning a considerable sum, so that there it could be seen as an investment.

So for me, only one who owns and retains their bitcoins could be taken into account as an investor so that they increase their value, or decrease depending on the volatility that is present, since the instability that maintains said asset that rises and  falls, is what makes it possible to that enter the investment range Being a currency with changing value!
