You miss a couple more questions, from the opposite direction. These questions are:
1. Does the universe exit?
2. Does life exist?
The reason why these are important is, nobody can prove them with solid, empirical science.

Big Bang is a fantasy that sounds good to those who need it to believe in. But the science behind BB is so extremely lacking that it is really utter foolishness. Besides, asking any layman to understand the little science there is, makes the whole topic of this question in a public forum to be foolishness.

As far as life goes, the dividing line between something that is dead, and the moment before while it was still alive, hasn't been found. If it is close to being found, it is understood (almost) by a few technical people, but absolutely none of us lay people.

The point of asking these two additional questions is, before we ask about some fanciful place called Heaven, we really need to be afraid, because we don't really know anything about this age.

But take heart. Since this universe and life seem to exist without proof, and without the knowledge of how such could be possible, something like Heaven could exist for the same, unknown reasons.

A: Nah, i don't need afterlife. This life is enough for me. Thought of that gives me peace and clarity and understanding that i need to cherish everything i have while i have it. I need to live my life to the end because i have it. While being kind to my family and friends and give my kids a better changes in life than i did.

I used to be religious, but after i understood what void it was filling, getting rid of it really balanced my life to better. I just don't need anyone in the sky watching me. Neither gods or government.

B: What will happen after i die? My body either get burned or buried. I guess my afterlife would feel similar to before i existed. Like nothing.

I found the first two posts to both be thought provoking, thank you. I was raised very religious with church & church school every Sunday. In my teens, I found Ayn Rand's book Atlas Shrugged to be an amazing experience. Over the years, I've come to respect Rand's politics and in depth understanding of people and history more than her hostility towards religion. The idea of going somewhere wonderful after death has a strong appeal, especially as we get older, but I can't put too much faith in the concept, yet.

Religion gives you something to believe in, and in some religions mostly Christianity, a place called heaven is promised for people who live a good life here on earth, and hell for those who did not have a good life on earth. This is kind of funny to know. You asked a question so you don't expect response that you want to hear  . The forum is filled with people of diverse religion, opinions and different in every other thing you can think of are viewed in different ways. So take it cool, you will see people responding the way you want it. Religion is the shaping value for the way people reason just like you were brought up in church and Christian way, of course heaven is real and Christians want to spend eternity in heaven but some Christians too don't believe that so open your mind but hold on to what you believe.

I believe in the afterlife. Many religions believe that your works on earth determine how and where to spend your afterlife. And it is believed that the afterlife is everlasting. Although many false teachers have adulterated many religious teachings, I have stopped listening to them and focused on the Holy Book. And this sacred book unveils that if you live a righteous life on earth, you will go to heaven but if you are evil there is a place called hell waiting for you.

I am aspiring to go to heaven when my time is up on earth. Living a righteous life is becoming hard every day because evil is taking over the earth. But I am hoping that when I stand before the judgment throne when my time is up on the earth, my maker will find me worthy to enter the gates of heaven.

This is because they do not believe in repentance because Christians are just as hateful and angry as everyone else. I have an idea. Why don't all the fake believers just stop calling themselves Christians? And why don't people stop fooling themselves into believing that these fake believers have really repented of their sins. Christians tend to be the most angry and immoral of all people, so they will be the first in the line to HELL.

P.S. I am still the only entity who is publicly stating that all bio-safety level (BSL) 4 labs need to publicly post cryptographic timestamps of all of their data. It seems like everyone else is more concerned with how they can do as many hateful evil deeds as possible than about making sure that BSL-4 labs are truly secure. Christian, Jesus Christ revealed everything about heaven to the people that was privilege to be with him then. I also have the faith that heaven is real and it will be for only those who does the will of God here on earth. The bible has explained and told the Christians everything about life after death. Some other religion might not believe in this because we all have our different belief and faith. God is real and heaven is also real. I will try my best by the grace of God to go and meet my creator when I give up the ghost.

I agree that the dividing line between good works salvation and faith salvation can be difficult to understand. Look at the parable of the sheep and the goats - Matthew 25:31-46 - https://www.biblehub.com/niv/matthew/25.htm.

In this parable, it seems that the King is judging people on the merits of what they have done. It seems contradictory to passages like the one where Jesus says, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent," John 6:29 - https://biblehub.com/john/6-29.htm. So, how do we reconcile these two ideas? Something like this...

ALL people do good, and they all do evil. There are some believers and some unbelievers who do tremendous amounts of good, and very little evil. There are also loads of believers and loads of unbelievers who do very little good, but large amounts of evil.

In the sheep and goats parable, why is it that the King doesn't acknowledge the evil that the sheep did? It's because the sheep believe in the salvation that Jesus provided, and the sins (evil) have been washed away in Jesus blood. Their sins don't exist any longer because they are covered by the blood of Jesus. All that is left is the good, however small it may be.

With the goats, why doesn't the King acknowledge the good that they did, even though they did some evil right along with the good (just like the sheep)? Saint Paul explains it simply and clearly in the easy words, Romans 14:23b, "...and everything that does not come from faith is sin," - https://biblehub.com/romans/14-23.htm. So, for the goats, everything, even the good, is sin. Why? Because it was not done in faith.

Good works are to be done by believers because their faith is tested and diminished when they sin, especially if they do evil intentionally. Believers can lose their saving faith. But it is difficult, because God won't let them go easily.

One of the other good reasons why believers should do good and not do evil is, so that unbelievers can see that their godliness exists, so that these unbelievers also can turn to faith.

Nothing stops any believer or unbeliever from doing evil. But, reread Romans 14:23b above.

Heaven actually exist. I'm one of the hardest person to convince of something without proof.

My goal is to do what it requires to get there... to please the CREATOR always.

 No human can describe heaven even if seen. It has a Great Sparkle that can't be described because it has never been seen nor imagined by humans. A) Yes I believe in heaven because as a follower of Christ( Christian) the bible made us to understand that there is heaven and there is hell. Every follower of Jesus Christ must believe there is heaven because the end point of every believer is to make heaven after spending time on earth here because heaven according to the bible is a paradise.

B) Heaven is my goal after living a good life on earth and I am hoping to make heaven by the grace of almight God because my works alone can't take me their neither will my deeds take me but his grace and mercy will take me to a place where there is no hard labour before eating, heaven is my ending point after life and I will definitely be there some day.

It's paradise, where you don't have to be problematic about daily living and there's no more sickness in there. As for the pets, I don't think that we'll see them there because from what I know, they've got no soul. And with our friends, possible.

It's easy for anyone to say that they are a Christian. But a real Christian is one who believes in salvation by Jesus, the Christ (Messiah).

It is the hearing of the Word of God - especially the parts that talk about Jesus-salvation - that works faith in the heart. People of nations or religions that don't have the Bible possibly will never hear the Word of God.

The point is, everybody who believes in Jesus-salvation is saved, no matter how he gets that faith. But we can see how difficult it is for people born to practicing Christians to be saved. So, we can easily understand how hard it will be for people who don't have even the Word, to be saved.

However, if they get the Word in some way that we don't know about, they will be saved, if they believe. Yet, who has a clear example of how a person can get the Word without getting the Bible, or without somebody speaking it to him? I have no expectations about afterlife, mainly because I have no evidence of any short of afterlife whereas I have plenty of evidence of people not being able to "communicate" after death. Also, most of the organised religions and faith books do not really make any sense beyond requesting fait.

Having said that, there are many things that we do not know about life and nothing we really know about anything after, so I guess anything is possible technically.

While it's true that the nature of the universe and the origins of life are complex topics, science continues to explore and uncover new insights. The existence of the universe is supported by a wide range of empirical evidence, from cosmic background radiation to the expansion of space. Regarding life, while the exact line between life and non-life is not yet fully understood, scientists have made significant progress in studying the origins of life through various disciplines such as chemistry, biology, and astrobiology.

Rather, it's that science is trying to find it out without the correct and proper direction for such finding. Jesus the only way and the truth and light, which means that Jesus Christ leads us as Christians to heaven which means we going to be with God the fathers, so for the accusation that Jesus Christ is referred to as the light of God means that believing in him will light our part to heaven from this life and the holy Bible is like heaven constitution and life blueprints that following all the instruction therein would earn the believer heaved as the rewards of that covenant which is written in the Bible

This perfectly proves how people read things they do not have a clue about, they think they got it and get inevitably to the wrong conclusions. Science follows a method that provides some certainties under a certain context of the human understanding, nothing more.

For hundreds of years the city of Jericho was lost to us. Scientists and archaeologists thought that it was a fabrication. Then they found it, with the walls fallen flat, just like the OT says.

The Bible, the most published book, is impossible to exist. Without study into the Bible and how it came about, a person wouldn't understand that it is impossible.

There are parts and scraps from something like 25,000 ancient copies of the New Testament from the first couple hundred years of its existence. The only way people would have made this many copies was if it had happened, and the people were healed like Jesus said. Their healing made them excited enough that they would publish accurate copies at a time when the only way was to copy them by hand.

The science of the late 1800s, when scientists expressed that there was nothing left to discover, shows us that scientific proof isn't being followed. Scientific proof only exists in reality when the science can be demonstrated by engineered results that match the science.

For me, as a Muslim, I believe in heaven, but I believe in it in a mystical, spiritual sense, and not in a materialistic sense, as ordinary Muslims or even Christians and Jews understand it.

In short, the real paradise is knowledge, the purity of the soul, its sublimeness, and its purification from all its negative qualities.

I mean, in reality that's what we hope for, right? We hope (at least I know most of us do) that there is something or anything beyond the life we are currently living. To believe that there is something more after death somehow gives us the comfort of knowing that the end is not actually the end of everything, that there is still something waiting for us in the "afterlife". Moreover, having the thought that it will be good and peaceful allows a better sense of relief for us, like the promise of having a place of peacefulness and eternal happiness in heaven.

However, do I expect myself to go to Heaven when I'm done with my life here on Earth? Ideally, yes of course I do. Do I deserve it? Probably, but I know there are still those who deserve it more than I do. I guess instead of using the term expectation I'll use hope or even wish. It's hard state an expectation especially when you're not 100% sure that such a thing exist in the first place after all.

The Bible has really only ONE purpose. That purpose is to express Jesus-salvation so that people can be saved.

The Council of Nicea didn't cherry-pick the books of the Bible. They simply eliminated the books that weakened or broke the thread of Jesus-salvation. In other words, they purified the Bible as it should have been pure in the first place.

The only real author of the Bible is God. Prophets were the instruments God used to do the writing. Consider...

When God made people, He made them in His image. How does one animate simple material so that it becomes in the real image of the one true God? We can't begin to fathom how this can be done, or what God is really like. But it is God's Spirit in you, that is activating the substance of what you call your spirit and body, to do and think the things that you think you are doing alone.

How much more the prophets who were on God's side and in favor of Him. The Bible is ONE, even though it was written over a bunch of centuries by different authors.


My special point for you is, we are all of the image of God, and the strength of God is working in us... though most of us don't seem to realize it, and though we don't feel like it. For your own sake and life, don't use your God-power to deny yourself out of existence. God doesn't die. Denying yourself simply means that you will no longer be in the presence of Father-God, and Brother-Jesus. If you have dreary periods in life now, think of what it will be like without Him for eternity.

A: Nah, i don't need afterlife. This life is enough for me. Thought of that gives me peace and clarity and understanding that i need to cherish everything i have while i have it. I need to live my life to the end because i have it. While being kind to my family and friends and give my kids a better changes in life than i did.

I used to be religious, but after i understood what void it was filling, getting rid of it really balanced my life to better. I just don't need anyone in the sky watching me. Neither gods or government.

Going to heaven or hell fire depends on the believe of every individual, if the person is religious and what they're religious believes are, if a person is not religious, then the concept of going to heaven after death might not appeal to them. As a Christian I believe in afterlife and that righteous people will go there when they die, they might not reunite with their family and friends who died and did not make it to heaven, so for us it's a personal race. Imagine anything you want about God. He is way greater than our imagination. He is way greater and different than any other 'alien' we think about. In fact, the only reason why we think of Hm like a person is that He came in the form of Jesus, a man, to save us by taking the punishment for our mistakes and disobedience against God, our King.

Since it was God's idea that we go to Heaven, He has made it super easy. Simply believing that He exists, and exists in the form of Jesus, and that He is the One Who is saving us through Jesus... this is what takes us to Heaven. But our faith is weakened when we make mistakes, especially voluntary mistakes.

Perfection, no-death, joy, everything beneficial beyond our imagining... this is what there is for us in Heaven. And faith in Jesus is built by reading, or listening to somebody reading, the Bible... especially the Gospel books - first four in the New Testament.

It's pretty much the same question phrased in two different ways. The answer to both of them is no, at least in my case.
I don't believe in the concept of heaven an d the way I see it we turn into energy after death and that energy becomes a part of the universe, the way an exploding star disappears, but it's energy does not disappear, but travels and changes the cosmos.

I found the first two posts to both be thought provoking, thank you. I was raised very religious with church & church school every Sunday. In my teens, I found Ayn Rand's book Atlas Shrugged to be an amazing experience. Over the years, I've come to respect Rand's politics and in depth understanding of people and history more than her hostility towards religion. The idea of going somewhere wonderful after death has a strong appeal, especially as we get older, but I can't put too much faith in the concept, yet.    

It appears that you do not fully believe in what you practise. What baffles me the most is your outrage over the responses to your post; what did you expect to see here? When you have a large number of people in the forum with diverse beliefs, you will surely see the most provoking answers contrary to your belief, as well as some that agree with your belief. Not everyone believes in religion, and those who do will only answer questions based on what their religion teaches them and what they believe in. So don't be offended if you see another response that is completely off point from what you expect to hear from forum users here.

Heaven's probably more than just something people imagined up.  A lot of folks think it's this perfectly peaceful place overflowing with love where souls connect in ways beyond what any of us can conceive of here on Earth.  Sure the details are a mystery, but that idea you shared about good people finding true happiness in the afterlife lines up with what a bunch of religions preach.  Who really knows for certain, but there's definitely some comfort in hoping our spirits end up somewhere nice like heaven when this life eventually ends.  The great unknown can be frightening, no doubt but keeping the faith that something even better awaits might make it easier to cope with.

I definitely believe in heaven. People come to earth for a short period of time, after staying for a short period of time a person has to leave for the other world. How many things people find in the world for this short period of time. There is no man who does not want heaven, every man wants heaven and to live happily and peacefully in the next life, he has to do some deeds in this world. Those who can do good deeds in this world and be friendly to people and follow religious rules will have a good life in the next life and will go to heaven.

Yes I believe in heaven. All the people in the world will enter heaven or hell in the afterlife according to their good and bad deeds. See I you come to earth for a very short time, within a short time a different bond is formed between family, friends, relatives. However, every living being is mortal, life has an end as it has a beginning. Especially those who are believers among mankind, regardless of their religion, people of all religions firmly believe in life after death. And since the hereafter is a matter whose good and bad depends on how much good and bad deeds one has done in this world. Therefore, if a person wants to be freed in the afterlife and want to go to heaven, then he must follow all the rules of the creator and pass the life of this world.
