Yea we cannot compare thousand of years of marketing and advertisement to just a more than decade old Bitcoin,  In short gambling had already established its name way long before Bitcoin is introduced so we don't have to be surprised if gambling is getting more attention than Bitcoin.  Besides gambling can be used as an entertainment while Bitcoin when used as that always needs to be integrated in gambling platform.

Bitcoin only has to travel this long and thorny road to fame. And I am sure that someday every earthling will have their own personal bitcoin wallet.

Though I hope for that to happen but I doubt that.  Bitcoin can be popular but I do not think that every person in the world will oblige themselves to have a Bitcoin wallet since world still goes on with or without getting involved in Bitcoin economics.

I like the fact that growing up, parents warn their children about gambling and even the teachers in school, because whatever made them do that is REAL, you will face instant karma if you ignore the warnings and go gambling thinking they are stupid and you are the wise one, later you will find out that you are the stupid one after all.

Gambling can ruin your life faster than anything else, the difficulty with Bitcoin is the challenge of holding them for long term and the challenge of keeping your private keys safe, but the end is always a happy one with Bitcoin.

Both require risk. Both got money and psychology involve. Both take experience and long hours to fill. There is no big difference other than the knowledge required to succeed. In trading BTC however, you have to learn fundamental or technical analysis. Unlike to gambling or in casinos, you just need pure luck. Just pull the trigger on slot, sports bet on either team, and many more.

Because there are so many thing you will not find in Bitcoin. Entertainment, fun, music, communication with other gambler, adrenaline, enjoying to play game etc it's can be find in gambling. While Bitcoin is just a currency and you're either invest or trade it, nothing more. You can't play with Bitcoin because it's not something that will entertain you.

Well, gambling is actually not a betting platform but it is something that is done, platforms are casinos that allow us to do gambling, gambling is the act of putting your money at stake to win something more with it when you lose the bet, you lose the money, and when you win it, you win something along with it based on the odds provided, so I don't really see any reason why people would compare this with gambling which is a totally different thing altogether.

Gamblers surely existed for hundreds maybe even thousand years. Joy of playing a game to make money must be as old as humankind. Bitcoin is still baby/adolescent technology. The advantage of bitcoin is even if the market collapsed still we cannot be consider at loss since as you said people can do something like just hold their bitcoins and wait for perfect time for market to recover. Trading bitcoin can also be very exciting, after all if you bought bitcoin for a cheap price and then months later bitcoin has grown incredibly fast since the bull market finally came then this can be an exhilarating feeling, and if anything the excitement can be many times higher than what you can achieve with gambling, because when it comes to gambling the amounts we have to use are small, while the amounts we use to trade are much higher as our savings are on the line.

And also, for the very fact that it doesn't even take much time to enrich these set of peeps, they've grown apathetic overtime on cryptographical ideas and the essence of Bitcoin as a store of value, talk more of means to make funds from it...
Bitcoin doesn't yield immediate results the way anyone would want it to...and sometimes, things don't even seem to work on your behalf.

This is not an apple to apple comparison. You are comparing apples with oranges. Bitcoin is a decentralized currency, which can be used as an investment and also as a store of value. Gambling is a hobby or sport, and it has no similarity with Bitcoin. A lot of people makes this comparison, because they believe that investing in Bitcoin is very risky and therefore it should be treated similar to the risk from gambling. And a lot of us doesn't agree with that argument. For us, putting our money in Bitcoin is a high-risk high-return investment.

• Not all countries has a ban/crackdown on bitcoin.
• You can gamble for fun with the hope to make money. You can't just invest in bitcoin for fun you need to plan properly.
• The gambling industry is growing and has been since 2009 when bitcoin was created by Satoshi.
• Gambling offers more pleasure(immediate gratification) than holding bitcoin.
• Gambling is easy and requires you to be less security conscious than investing in bitcoin
• People who may not prefer to gamble may prefer to invest in other assets like real estate than bitcoin
