Well, i think i have to disagree with you, we all know how children and teenagers behave, most of the time, its that thing that they are advised against or not to do, that's exactly what they find comfort in doing.

I don't think you can fairly compare Bitcoin holding with an activity such as gambling, it is rather a off-context comparison.
On one hand, Bitcoin is very new, it was launched less than two decades ago, while gambling has been part of humanity since the beginning of civilization.

Giving the youth the freedom to choose really is the way to go. The more you keep them uninformed into something, the more they go out their own way to seek the answers themselves. Same case with gambling and other activities that ends up being addictive to most people. Let them know what gambling is, how it's bad and how it's good, and they themselves will distance from it or come closer and in time, realize the results of their choice.

Unfortunately that is growing a lot these days. There are actual people who think that betting and trading are similar and start trading that way. Like seen people who do x10 leverage trades and they think that they may end up losing but just like gambling losing is one part of it. They are not really aware that they could make some profit with it and that's a sad deal.

I hope people will soon realize that spending money on trading is not a thing, you invest and if you invest well enough then you are going to do a well good job. Of course it is not going to be an easy task but it can be done at least. There is a common thought among the people, gambling can bring big money whereas the reality is completely different. If the person who had spend $1000 few years back have invested into bitcoin, now it could've brought him good return. Very few look with a futuristic approach whereas the majority wants instant multiplication. This is possible with gambling and the risk will be high.
