Bitcoiners have the opportunity to stand for something and that's eliminating the need for central authorities such as the government and banks and rather than forcing everyone to confirm to their beliefs, it's better to find an audience worth serving. What's your take, guys?
Been there before and end up just being backstabbed by my old friends. I believe I had shared the same story around Trading Discussion board before. It's really not for everyone.

Oh family members, don't even get me started in handling responsibility for them when you tell them about the advantage of Bitcoin as an investment and as a currency. You would be held responsible when they encounter losses.

It indeed creates opportunity. It's just like an open door for everyone.

The earlier we understand that bitcoin is not for everyone, the better because it saves us the time and energy that we would have used to convince those who are uninterested, to move on to those who are interested and it can also drive adoption faster. I've read some threads here of some people trying to convince their family members on the positives of Bitcoin and get enraged if the said members don't share the same opinion as them but I feel everyone is entitled to his opinion and while some regard Bitcoin with outright disgust like Charlie Munger, there are some who care less of it's existence.

I have realized that Bitcoin isn't for everyone ever since 2017. I don't want to force anyone in my social circle to get into Bitcoin/altcoins(and my social circle isn't big). I'm not trying to convince anyone that Bitcoin is "the best thing since bread" and I don't act like some crazy fanatic member of a religious cult. Grin The people must find Bitcoin themselves and they must make their own conclusions about whether or not Bitcoin is useful for them. Everyone has an opinion nowadays and everyone thinks that his/hers opinion is the best and most valid. This is a problem of the social media era, but I guess that we can't do anything about it. Haters gonna hate Bitcoin until the end. They have the right to express an opinion.

Every one of us got a different opinion. especially in Bitcoin which right now we are still early and it's still not mandatory to use or own some.
So for me, what we should focus on is finding or helping people that are willing to learn what is Bitcoin and how to use Bitcoin.

There are a lot of people who are interested to know what Bitcoin and a lot of people for sure will be happy once they know how Bitcoin works. This is important for me especially we will help Bitcoin itself to gain more popularity.

It indeed creates opportunity. It's just like an open door for everyone.

This is what I experienced when introducing Bitcoin to family members, there was a family member who tried to invest in Bitcoin, he impatiently kept asking when he could get the benefits, even though previously I had explained how it worked so he would understand first, after a while he felt  so bored that he forgot the password to be able to enter the exchange site account he had made

Well, for those who believe in bitcoin and have trusted it enough to invest in it, a big big shout out and congratulations to them.
But for those who even up until now still believe that bitcoin is some jamboree joke and a bubble waiting to burst, well, i have nothing much to say other than goodluck to them on their forever wait.

The thing is that many still will never learn, and for those who already made money and are living a comfortable live, i do not blame them, but i rather feel pity for those who will allow themselves to be deceived, and made to lose all the financial opportunities that comes with investing in bitcoin, those that believe bitcoin is a joke should purse and ask themselves how is something that is a joke worth tens of thousands of dollars today, and is even on its way going to the hundreds of dollars range.

If what you meant is to Invest in bitcoin then that is correct that because not everyone knows and understand this and yes that is hard to for all holding bitcoin as this will have no use if that happened.

but if it is about how to use bitcoin? like for daily usage then indeed everyone must use bitcoin for this to circulate and help the world in faster and easy transacting .

I won't deny that I am a really lazy person, and to be completely honest, I am terrible at teaching people new things. For these reasons, I just avoid the burden of attempting to persuade people to accept bitcoin. However, I only teach it to those who have expressed interest in bitcoin. I've learned that everyone has a unique perspective on the world, and even if bitcoin has existed for more than a century, not everyone will accept it or want to use it. It is uncomfortable when you introduce someone to bitcoin and they suspect you are trying to con them into visiting a fraudulent website or making an unwise investment.

It may be challenging to persuade them because so many have encountered scams and been the victims of scam.   I don't blame those who are afraid of being scammed; it's always better to guard against such, and it's best to steer clear of anything you don't believe in.

I've read some threads here of some people trying to convince their family members on the positives of Bitcoin and get enraged if the said members don't share the same opinion as them
After investing time and energy in teaching someone anything, it is disappointing to have that effort rejected. They have the right to be angry, just as the offending member does, to have any beliefs he chooses. We shouldn't anticipate that everyone will have the same perspective on bitcoin as we do because everyone has different perspectives and makes various judgements in life.

It's time to accept that not everyone will be interested in bitcoin, and that some people will never believe in it.

...
 What's your take, guys?

when internet started to spread "between civilian homes" here in my country (Italy), many of my work colleagues were strongly skeptical. "what should I do with it? Read the news?"

The potential of certain "revolutionary" inventions cannot be understood immediately and are not for everyone.
It is useless to waste energy and resources on this trying to educate people that would never understand. these persons will be "forced" to interact with this technology at a certain point.

Like today after all. Without the internet you have difficulty doing anything or you need to spend much much more for the same service. Nowadays even governments require it in a mandatory way for communications updates etc etc ...

This is true, even some well known people can't be confused about Bitcoin, some know that it's not scam yet they choose not to get involved, I still believe that they choose this path because the government isn't on good terms with Bitcoin, if not, many people will be swimming in the crypto pool right now.

It makes sense that 90% of the world population are still out of Bitcoin, simply because the government doesn't tell them to get involved, I can see how many people believe in the government and its decisions, but we should consider ourselves lucky to be involved this early, it's why I advise the few people that listened to me to keep buying Bitcoin, because one tide can change tomorrow and people start realizing why it's important to have Bitcoin, that's when bitcoin will reach a new all time high we've never dreamt of before.

If many are saying no to Bitcoin it's for the greater good of the early people that believe in the technology and it's future, leave them be, we are still early.

I get your point but maybe they just didn't know what is Bitcoin and what is its potential right? Of course, there are other reasons but if you know Bitcoin know its capabilities, potential, what it can do, etc. are you going to invest in it? Of course, right I mean I'm going to do it for sure. But I guess there are for sure some that are not a fan of Bitcoin since it a decentralized and there are people that are not going to like that even though it's a great structure.

Convincing your family is not mandatory if you know Bitcoin it doesn't mean that you should teach it to your family members or kids, but I mean it's not a bad thing but if they want to know about it, it's a good thing since your spreading bitcoin to your family and it helps a little bit to the bitcoin adaptation, Bitcoin is already getting popular to a lot of countries, It is still going to adapt on its self and in the future if the Bitcoin continue to adapt a lot of people are surely going to get interested and possible to like it because of its potential etc.

I do not see any point on trying to promote bitcoin at all as bitcoin does a very good job promoting itself already, I did not really needed anyone to tell me to invest in bitcoin and become part of this market since I could figure it out on my own, and with the evidence of bitcoin being a great form of money and the high levels of inflation we experimented not long ago many people are becoming more willing to take their chances and give bitcoin a chance.

Honestly, ever since I started investing in bitcoin, I can't find any good reason to spend time trying to convince someone to believe in bitcoin. Because if they invest in bitcoin, it's their right, and the profit will be theirs, I won't get anything from them. But if they lose, I will definitely be the one to blame, so why should we waste time on that? I focus on my life because when I get stuck, no one will help me, so I will just focus on my investment instead of wasting my time.

if for example there are people who force family members or friends to invest in btc or force family members or friends to understand bitcoin, of course that is wrong, because of course it is not good to force people to understand btc or invest btc because of course it is their respective rights to invest in btc or not. so indeed we as BTC investors should not force people, because of course everyone has their own rights.

so if for example someone asks us about btc then we can explain it properly and wisely.

Yes you are right Bitcoin is not for everyone. But everyone chooses Bitcoin as an investment. There are many people who think Bitcoin is a bogus platform. If you try to explain them,it will be a waste of time and energy. No matter how well you explain to them, they will not understand. They prioritize their own actions more. You tell your family about the positives of Bitcoin and they will sometimes be on your side and sometimes against you. Investing in Bitcoin is not for everyone. The current market value of Bitcoin is so much that many can afford to buy and many cannot. Many people also think that without government there would be no Bitcoin. But now it is not expected that everyone will accept Bitcoin due to the fact that Bitcoin is illegal in almost all countries.

Bitcoiners have the opportunity to stand for something and that's eliminating the need for central authorities such as the government and banks and rather than forcing everyone to confirm to their beliefs, it's better to find an audience worth serving. What's your take, guys?

I agree with you because there are skeptical people who would never accept something like Bitcoin while we can't ignore the fact that there are also people who are very fond of Bitcoin that they can't live without it. Those people who don't want to know about Bitcoin are the ones whom we can called people with ignorance while that ones who accept that Bitcoin is a useful asset and it could help to reduce inflation are the people with the understanding of things.

I also believe that those people who are not interested in Bitcoin should be avoided on matters where we talk about Bitcoin. It's not worthy to convince such people that Bitcoin is the future and it can eradicate poverty because they will never accept our words and that's why it's better to be salient near those people who can't understand your words. We love Bitcoin and that's more than enough for us and if others don't love it then we can't force them to love it.

One thing we should know is that there are laggards to every new innovation and as such it is natural that people would be skeptical of new technology or innovation for the first time and there are tendencies that they would reject what ever that is likely going to make them have thought about that innovation. That is the case of bitcoin and the people. Also, do not forget that as it  is to the laggards so it is to the early adopters who are open to new innovations and technology. They easily assimilate and want to try everything new they come in contact with.

there are people in this world who like bitcoin and some who don't.

in my opinion bitcoin can become famous and expensive because many people provide knowledge about bitcoin such as to friends and so on, in my opinion if someone teaches about bitcoin it is certainly not wrong, as long as it is taught in the right way, such as teaching about investment risks in btc and the important thing is there is no element of coercion

I agree with the general sentiment of realizing that Bitcoin isn't for everyone, but I also understand people who are very passionate about Bitcoin and very upset if someone disagrees. I think we all have some beliefs that are more important to us than other things, and these beliefs can be very different.
To some people, their religious beliefs (or their atheism) can be crucial, and they feel very strong about convincing others that they are wrong. But others are much milder when it comes to religion. Similar things can be said about political leanings, social media, movies and many other things, which includes Bitcoin. To many people, believing in Bitcoin isn't a big deal, and they can easily accept that some people don't believe in it. But of course there are other people, to whom Bitcoin is extremely important, and to whom it's very hard to accept that someone isn't convinced about Bitcoin's superiority.
I think we should try to not be aggressive even about the beliefs that matter to us, but also try to understand those who feel very strong about convincing others about Bitcoin.

The earlier we understand that bitcoin is not for everyone, the better because it saves us the time and energy that we would have used to convince those who are uninterested, to move on to those who are interested and it can also drive adoption faster.

[1] It's not like those who're uninterested now will not change their mind in the future, there's a possibility they might prefer Bitcoin in the future so we should consider everyone while promoting Bitcoin rather than a few since we aren't sure who'll adopt it.

[2] I have nothing against people who are promoting Bitcoin to their family members but they should add the fact in their lines that "Bitcoin is a volatile currency and they may lose some money they've invested in rather than promoting it with agenda "Bitcoin is a money milking cow"

Bitcoiners have the opportunity to stand for something and that's eliminating the need for central authorities such as the government and banks and rather than forcing everyone to confirm to their beliefs, it's better to find an audience worth serving. What's your take, guys?

[3] If authorities want, they can easily track down the transactions of bitcoin or ask exchanges such as Binance for it it they think someone is trying to evade taxes by laundering the bitcoins. This is the reason i think every Mixing site will go down once they've done some million, billion dollar worth of bitcoin 'Mixing'

OP is right, bitcoin is not fiat currency that must be used by everyone. The limited supply of bitcoin makes it not available for everyone because as time goes on the poor ones will not be able to buy bitcoin due to the high price of bitcoin. It is just like gold that the poor ones knows it is expensive and base on their little income, they will not be able to buy gold. Bitcoin price is based on demand and supply, the more people keep buying, the lower the supply. If almost half of the people in the world own bitcoin,I guess that the price will hit 500k-700k which will become a problem to an average man to buy. It is only the interested ones that knows the potential of bitcoin or that loves decentralization that will adopt bitcoin, some people still believe that without the government nothing will survive, such people wouldn't adopt bitcoin.

Yes Bitcoin is not fiat currency but it can be converted to fiat currency. Now, the question is, why do you think Bitcoin is allowed to be exchanged for the real currency of any country? because if Bitcoin is not a currency, there is no reason for the government to agree to exchange Bitcoin with fiat if the Government knows that it will not help the economy of the country they lead. Right?

There is no obligation to force someone who doesn't like bitcoin and its technology to believe in bitcoin and use it.
Only awareness can bring them to bitcoin as well as the desire to make money from it, but everyone is free to use any financial system they like. It is even possible that users who own bitcoin today are not using bitcoin as a means of payment, but they are simply taking advantage of its volatility to make a profit.
