So if i like a person must I give all the reasons that I like them to justify the merits I give him.

Is liking him not enough words for you.

Do you want a detailed explanation of why I like him why I trust him?

Here is one reason I like him and trust him. He pays the signature participants the correct amount of money due to them.

My apologies if saying I like someone was not detailed enough for your standards.

So me giving him merits is my way of saying he does a good job distributing payments to people. He has been honest from all evidence I have seen. He has done this for years.

All qualites of a good campaign manager.

Come on! Merits do not have to be given to someone because you like him, nor because he is a campaign manager who pays his participants, which is what he is supposed to do.

As I said before, if it wasn't you, someone else doing the same thing would have a dozen people telling him what I'm telling you but since it's you you get a pass, which doesn't take away that you are misusing the merits giving them to people because you like them or because they are good campaign managers.

There's no anger. I am trying to explain to you in a rational way that the merits should be given mainly for posts that have quality, not giving them to a person who you like simply because you like him, while you take it as a personal attack.

It seems incredible that with how long you've been on the forum I have to explain this to you and you don't understand it. I guess it's because of the time you've spent in the WO thread, since everything is different there and is tolerated.

Again Theymos, could you please validate the few merit sources "to-be" that have applied? I believe you can see this....cus I read something about some merit circle yesterday... That's exactly the kinda world we live in.

At the moment, theymos is not considering anyone for the role of m'sources (I believe this will be the case for at least the next 6 months).

Friendly bump! I still believe that Icopress is going to be a great merit source for this forum. I highly support his application and believe Theymos will also consider Icopress's application.

I believe it would be helpful to have some new merit sources, I know the present merit sources are doing quite well but new ones are still needed to merit the useful posts.

I think beyond any doubt, you have a super reputation and also have good ability in every aspect. @icopress is one of the greatest forum members; he has contributed a lot to the forum.
 
Considering all these leading services, I am sure that there is no one better than @icopress who has the right to be a merit source, i.e. out of all the merit source applications I have seen, I am the most prominent and a unique member. I saw it was @icopress and by concluding it, I claim that no one can be more entitled to the merit source than this person. By elobrating this, I would say that Thymos should review that the forum needs more merit sources, and especially the forum needs generous merit like @icopress. So kindly consider this, Thymos.

I would like to show my support for this application if it carries any weight. 

icopress is one of the most praiseworthy members of this forum. His reputation speaks volumes for his contributions to this forum, be it as a member or campaign manager, he has always been sincere and honest with whatever he did, and I'm not saying this because I'm a part of one of the campaigns he is managing, but this is what I have observed throughout the time I have spent on this forum.

Just like all other things he did with great enthusiasm and honesty, I'm pretty sure he will be a great merit source as well and the forum and its members will benefit from this for sure.

So, I would request @theymos to accept his application and make him a merit source for us members. 

I would say that Thymos should review that the forum needs more merit sources, and especially the forum needs generous merit like @icopress. So kindly consider this, Thymos.

I recently asked him if he had become a merit source since I wanted him to visit our local board (India) and award some sMerits to deserving topics or posts. He replied that his application had not been approved. I was very disappointed, as he submitted his application long ago.

He is known for his good reputation, which is evident from the numerous positive conversations he engages in on various local boards as well as the abundance of positive feedback he has received. I firmly believe that he is well-suited to become a merit source, and I fully support his application, just as I did for TheUltraElite. I kindly ask @Theymos to review both applications, as individuals like these two are the reason why users like myself remain active on the forum.

Don't feel too much disappointed to be frank you're not the only one but what can we all do, nothing but wait until Theymos to speak on this issues and at least accept some of the piling applications for some years now.

Many of the forum members who have applied has a good reputation including him but we all are still waiting till when Theymos will decide to speak about all these.
Most LB needs merit source and this side of the forum I can say has been among the part most lacking merit source or allocation and sadly we're still waiting for Theymos to respond to us either by giving more allocation to merit source in the LB or add more merit source there.

Sincerely speaking I don't know @icopress isn't a merits source judging from all his activities over here and he is well known. Usually during my start late May 2023, seeing Icepress over here then give me this thinking that he could be among the merits sources also couples with his constants contest hosting in the forum one would feels that is among the sources.

Yeah you are right, approval surely in the hands of admins or theymos. But wait a bit why theymos doesn't want to approve such a reputable member like Icepress. What a hell holding him back not to approve him, or is there any special vote of confidence to approve him? If yes then show me link I don't mind casting my vote for him to be approved.

It has been a while when this application was submitted by icopress. It has been a while when the Indian board is not having any active merit source. Still, Theymos is least interested in looking into this application and the one created by @TheUltraElite. I request everyone here to regularly bump both the threads as a good will gesture. I feel I won't be disappointed with my humble request.
