5 bitcoin to stop gambling,  what the heck,  I will quit gambling for life if I become a steel hand bitcoin holder,  and I will give my 5 bitcoins bounty a space of five years before exchanging a bit out of the entire total amount,  I know a lot of other members of the forum will go along with my line of thought,  of taking the bitcoin and walking away from gambling for life, Even though some other comments suggest that gambling is for fun and that they won't quit if confronted with such a life-changing offer.

All though this is only an imagination,  but the reality is that many of those who say that they won't quit after gaining such an amount of Bitcoin their gamble for fun are all saying so because they are or confronted with the reality of such a decision first,  so it is easier said than done because I believe that 99% of those who gamble are all in for the rewards and not the fun per se and let no one deceive you with all those statements as gambling for fun and not the money because that is all lies.

Well. Keeping in mind I am rather a small gambler who does not wager more than 50$ at the same time, I could see myself accepting such offer very easily. However, I must admit that since we are talking about excluding ALL kinds of gambling forever, it could have very lasting effects on ones life.

What if I managed to visit Las Vegas? I could not fully enjoy the vacations there.
What if there is a very exciting videogame I like but there are some random generated items I would need to buy in order to further enjoy the adventure?

Randomness and gambling can be present in many activities we ignore, and it would be harsh to later realize I could not partake in them...

Who's going to give that 5 Bitcoin, I will accept it right away as I have no problem with gambling I can take a vacation even a long one, and the giver cannot follow me for the rest of my life and he will not know what I'm doing in my own bedroom or when I am alone with my cell or laptop with internet, there are many ways to gamble without anyone knowing it with just your cell and a data because the majority of casinos have an application version.
Whoever will give that 5 Bitcoin is not wise as he did not know that there's a possible way to play secretly.

Easily yes.  I'd hold the bitcoin as my gamble and watch it rise to over 100k   Gambling is for fun and I'd just find something else to do for fun during that time.  $150k usd to not do something that has zero effect on your life is crazy to not take.  Goes for any extra curricular activity in my mind.

If I were already rich, certainly those 5 BTC would not make me stop playing, because today I play for fun and not to get rich.
So if I stop playing, I will certainly need to spend my Bitcoins doing something else to stop myself.

However, considering that 5 BTCs would really change my financial life, I would certainly stop playing to receive this "reward", because U$ 150k is a lot of money for me today, also considering that in my country, Brazil, the exchange rate is U$ 1 for BRL 4.75.

So, I think your suggestion is very personal, in the same way that the subscription campaign we participate in can be too much for someone who lives in the US or Europe, but too much for someone from a poorer country or one with a devalued local currency.

Without any second thought I'll accept the deal and end gambling. For what everyone intend to gamble is the possibility of winning little money. I know I'm unlucky and for the same I won't be able to make 5BTC out of gambling with the small betting amounts. I'll just use it to finish the debts and secure my family's future.

5 Bitcoin can make my life sponsored for 35 years since 1 Bitcoin is equivalent to almost 7 years or 6.9 years of minimum job paymentas per the calculation of the current Bitcoin price divided by the daily minimum wage of my country.  I would definitely choose 5 Bitcoin and stop gambling.  I would then enjoy my life to the fullest without worrying about any financial problems.  Aside from that I can also use that amount to establish a business to further grow my finances.

There is every tendency that 5 btc may not stops you from gambling basically if such amount is given to you as a gambler you wouldn't know when you start staking higher amount because you felt the money is there for you to gamble at all time and win big, gambler is always a gambler despite any amount given to you to stops gambling you would still gamble secretly without knowing that you are gambling. Have you seen a chronic gambler before? And want such person to stops gambling for 5 btc, which is ~ $146k with the current price at the market whereas some people always win above such amount when gambling. I will directly get those 5 Bitcoins and never give a damn about gambling anymore,I already had enough of it and the stupid slot machines which are just money drainers and I have lost interest in them by not feeling anymore any thrill or adrenaline by playing them.The sport betting has high and downs as you cannot win always so taking those 5 Bitcoins and investing them,1 I would buy an ASIC Miner just trying my luck, the second one I would build two to 10 mining rigs depending on how many graphic cards,good ones I will afford and the three others will hodl them until the next bull run,may be I will hodl 2 and another 1 to exchange with lots of sh*t coins like Doge,Shiba and few others like those as who knows how big they grow.

This is a question with a very straight forward answer, and the answer, as long as i know, will pretty be the same for everyone, and by the way, i think ive seen a question that is similar to this one somewhere around the forum, don't know if its here in the gambling board or in bitcoin discussion board, or maybe trading discussion board, i cant remember particularly, but i am very sure I've seen a similar question as this some where around the forum.

Any ways, this is a proverb i used on my immediate previous comment on another thread, and that is that a bird you have in your hands, that is one bird you have already, is worth more than millions of other birds that are still flying around in the bush, because there is no guarantee of any kind that you will ever catch any of them again, so going by this proverb, 5 bitcoins is already enough money for any body to live a comfortable life on, will you reject it for gambling that you are not sure you will even ever win half of the 5 bitcoins being offered to you?

Majority of gamblers which doesn't take gambling seriously will take that 5 BTC and never gamble back again. 5 BTC is so huge and it can change a life of individual so provably they take their attention on other things or maybe create a business out of the money toke and make their life busy there. Gambling is just for fun and anyone could easily quit with it if there's huge money at stake. They will never look at the fun factor but for the practicality and that could change their life instantly.

Will I accept 5 bitcoins to never gamble again? Of course, I'll gladly take the offer without hesitation. It's absolutely going to be a profitable investment, and I'd take my time planning everything out to ensure I get the best substantial solid outcomes from these bitcoins. However, it is far from certain, because most people will still bungle this trade and lose everything. Let's consider the conditions and compare them together, first is that why do you think most people gambles, they do so to earn some money even though we cannot concluded tht every gambler is doing one to earn money for a living as a result, now am been given the money needed and not only that, the money is well enough for me to get established in life and never lack, egat else would i think about than to embrace this rare offer and go into investments, what if am gambling for years and never win talkless of having close to half of 5 bitcoin as my win, I will quit gambling and be playing virtual games at home while my money on other investments.

Deciding whether or not to take this payoff is dependent upon your skills. If you think you can make 150k+ over your lifetime then pass on the deal. If not, obviously take the little bit of money and hope it makes your life better.

I think the users who this would most help would be users from underdeveloped countries. 150k in the usa isn't all that much. 150k in say Indonesia is probably enough for a lifetime.

I know this a hypothetical situation that will never happen, but just for the fun of it, we all just need to say our opinions.

Anybody who offers you 5btc to never gamble again really loves you and must have seen the dangers that gambling is posing to you for them to want to offer so much as 5btc to quit.

Anyone been offered money to quit gambling is really addicted to it and even though the purpose of gambling to them is to make money, they may not still be satisfied with the free money offered to them. They will take it, but within a while will find themselves back to gambling, because to some, they enjoy the thrill of winning the money themselves.

As opposed to those who are having fun and are addicted to it, those who are having fun can easily take bitcoins and turn their fun into something else like going on vacation or something else.
but to them the addiction seems to be only a moment, and after receiving the bitcoins they are sure to gamble again in secret or they will gamble again after a few months or a year.
and I personally would choose bitcoin and stop gambling, because I am not an active gambler who can easily quit.

I'll take it as I'm sure that it's not possible for anyone or any tool to track me for the rest of my life, if the giver just wants me to stop gambling I will appreciate I have no problem stopping gambling and 5 Bitcoin is just enough for me to retire and enjoy the best thing in life its worth a lot in a third world country and its possible that the price of Bitcoin will increase in the future, there are a lot of great things to enjoy besides gambling and besides there are online casinos

Although I believe your topic is hypothetical and does not relate to the present situation. I still wanted you to understand simple logic. No one will give a gambler 5 BTC for free. Earning 5 BTC from gambling means a gambler need to spend near about 50 BTC to make it. When a gambler already has that kind of amount why will he/she gamble?

I'll probably take it. It's a pretty big amount, and I've never really taken gambling as a lifetime thing I'd always do. I always expected that I'd stop at some point, maybe after around 4,5 years. Stopping now doesn't really seem like it'd make a difference, 5 BTC does look like it would though (assuming that there's going to be a bull market the next year or so). Plus, I have a lot of forms of entertainment that I can use the money on, I'm more than willing to give up one to support the rest of the lot.

On the topic of the same post, there was one before but not specifically 5 BTC, I think it was a few million dollars as the idea?
