So you want to be a crypto millionaire?
Fernando Pérez Algaba, apparently a crypto "influancer" (never heard of him), who was missing since mid-June, was found chopped up in a suitcase in Argentina.
Just a daily reminder that flashing your wealth on social media is not necessarily a good idea.

I believe this is his Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/fernandoperezalgaba

Has anyone heard of him? Was he a decent guy, or just another wannabe celebrity?

I believe a corpse in a suitcase can never remain dormant/well. Since the body had many pieces which a man normally (not getting identification but need police help). We can feel that a man is uninherited only when he mixes with bad people. And the closest people do the most damage are those who are used as friends (secret enemies) Fernando Perez Algaba has suffered. Crypto assets should never be disclosed by social media when enemies approach as friends which happened to Fernando Perez Algaba.

Based on the article it's not about his being an influencer or his wealth it's his debts and loans

Quote
Police have arrested one suspect in connection with Algaba’s death. And while the motive behind the alleged murder remains unclear, authorities suspect that the influencer was killed over his numerous debts

He claimed to have invested a lot of his money in Cryptocurrency and
Quote
The victim’s brother claimed that Algaba was simply a car salesman who “did not do well” in Bitcoin.
he may have invested but his investment did not do well it's not about his being a Crypto millionaire which I doubt he is but his loans and debts.

This is a big warning if you're going to invest in Cryptocurrency never take a loan because if your investment is down and the loaner wants his money you cannot withdraw it and you could be in big trouble, the moral here is only invest what you can afford to lose.

Never heard of him but I've just seen it on social media that other crypto group have talked about him. Some of the comments there have said that he's a scammer and that's why it's not just about being into crypto and flexing but, some people that he has scammed had had enough of him so they ended up doing that brutal crime.

I haven't read yet the entire detail and also just heard him this time with this news. These media are sensationalizing and romanticizing any news that's related to crypto when it's come to these unfortunate events and deaths of an individual.

Whether a crypto influencer or just a simple crypto individual, this is another reminder that you have to be careful with your personal lives.

Maybe he has nothing to do with being a Crypto Millionaire and something else that you aren't aware of nor the media? He isn't the first millionaire I guess? There are thousands of them in each country and the source of income doesn't matter if it's real estate or Crypto, this sort of thing can only happen if there was a fight between two people or so. RIP, no one really knows what happened except the family who can access his phone.

Not quite, crypto-millionaires are potentially the best targets for criminals. It's way easier to force someone at a gunpoint to transfer their crypto than to transfer their fiat (banks would restrict that + transactions can be reversed or traced to account owners), not to mention transferring wealth from the real estate.
Of course, you could "protect" yourself by say storing your seed phrase somewhere safe, but if the bad guys believe you have instant access to $millions worth of coins, you might still end up tortured or killed.
Another angle is that many of the crypto millionaires got rich overnight and are simply not used to handling their new situation in terms of security etc

According to the police, he received threatening messages and calls a week before children discovered a suitcase on the banks of a river that contained his dismembered body parts.

Messages like:
"I’m going to kill you, I’m going to do something worse to you. I’m going to gouge out your eyes and cut off your hands so that you can’t have any more money in your life."

The man, identified only by his surname Iglesias by Argentinian outlet Télam, added, "I swear on my children that I have no problem going to jail."

Another message from a man known as Adrian Tesei told Algaba, "I’m not threatening you," Tesei claimed. "I’m telling you that I’m going to rip off your head. The money is mine, and you don’t play with mine."
