No guilt feelings attached so for sure you can do a lot of things with the demo money. In terms of luck, mine is also the same, I haven't been able to hit any of those thousand multipliers. The best thing i've hit from my demo sessions is the bonus rounds and the bonus rounds would only give a low multiplier.
