What are your reasons for adopting cryptocurrency?

Lately majority of people find theirselves within the crypto space, but many of them do not really understand the actual reasons for adopting crypto currency other than to make profit, what are your own reasons for adopting cryptocurrency?

I'm someone who has never been a fan of controlled environment especially if it I'm not the one controlling my situation. For instance, If I have some money in the bank and they lock me out of the account or something shitty happens, I'd be in a situation where I can't control what happens next. Other reasons why I love Bitcoin / Blockchain / Crypto:

• The thrill: As someone who loves innovation and technology, its thrilling to know how distrubuted systems like the blockchain work automously and still reach consensus. Amazing stuff.
• Permissionless Identify and activities.
• Money as motivator   - there's ton of opportunities in the space and it's permissionless to participate.

Of course, there are other reasons but I'd like to keep the list short here.

It’s actually thrilling to be candid, the very first time I got introduced to crypto currency it was like something unreal to me after I got into the system and I started trading the kind of energy and excitement in me is always top notch.

You are asking people here what are their main reason but telling them less understanding? what will you do if that is their reason? or sole reason for that sense? yeah there are many ways to deal in crypto but it is what they wanted?
that is their money and that is their decision.
if you wanted to extend yours such as HODLING or TRADING or Using as payment option then that is yours., but don't questions our reason like me , that i actually been using crypto for paying but depending in the season and depend in my capacity .
so yeah we can have each ways of dealing cryptocurrencies .

I never mean harm actually, I’m just trying to let newbies in the crypto space have things to reckon on once they come here to gather ideas. One thing you need to know is you need direction to prevail and places like this is where you can get plus the fact that you have DYOR.

the reason why I adopting cryptocurrency is to avoid inflation. I feel that it is not fair when my money value decrease only because government print more money as they want. I was working and save money to keep me life. and once they print more money, my hardwork becomes less worthy. for me it is better to save some of my money in form of bitcoin although it volatile but I am experienced enough to make a good strategy to invest in btc.

Most people, even you, know that their sole purpose in investing in cryptocurrency is to earn profit. There are only a few people that use it to transact or make payments online, but the majority of people invest in it so that they can get profit. It is such an effective investment that the possibility of gaining a huge profit is huge in the next few years. Even for myself, this is my purpose, and the secondary is trying to pay using it online, but mostly before I join your cryptocurrency space, this is really my purpose.

Actually you’re right most of us really invest to make profit, one of the major reason why at every point in time I’m always staying the volatile market to know the next action that will yield profit.

the reason I adopted cryptocurrencies was because I was looking for extra money, so that my economy could progress, but of course, of course, everyone has almost the same goal as me, which is to make profits and in my opinion, that's my only reason and I can't say anything else.

I hope you’re lucky to make a good choice of exchange, that’s one important thing you have to do once you have a good profit making intention and DYOR at all time, you can get opportunities from trading too and if you can’t trade you can adopt copy trading style where you copy professional traders trade and make profit few exchanges like Bitget has such feature though they’re centralized exchanges.

Pls not all cryptocurrency has the potential  for one to adopt so you need to be specific  and use the word bitcoin. My reasons for adoption of bitcoin is that.
1. It gives financial freedom and can be used across boarders without a third party.
2. I also use it as an investment and a store of value. As an investment, you will see it that bitcoin is the most valuable investment that one can make a good profit from, if you can hodli you bitcoin for a long term. For store of value,because fiat is depreciating in value daily due to inflation but bitcoin is inflation resistance.
3. Bitcoin is the future gold because soon people that have bitcoin will be the richest or most wealthy people in the world as long as they only keep on accumulating their bitcoin.

That’s true though but there are other cryptocurrency projects worth investing on, actually when you DYOR you will get more information, there is no need to get information from people, just DYOR.

Bitcoin is a biggest cryptocurrency but it is not the only cryptocurrency so I see it is fine to discuss about cryptocurrency adoption generally. Bitcoin needs altcoins too even many altcoins are scam. The cryptocurrency market should not have only Bitcoin and altcoins are necessary for the market.

My reasons for adoption of bitcoin is that.

1. It gives financial freedom and can be used across boarders without a third party.

People will have control of their bitcoin if they use non custodial wallets. If they use custodial wallets from like exchanges, gambling sites, they will not control their bitcoin.

No control, no chance to have financial freedom because they can lose their bitcoin, capital anytime.

Reminder: do not keep your money in online accounts

Consider Bitcoin as an investment asset and as a store of value is the same. You should not invest in Bitcoin if you see it is not a store of value. Bitcoin itself is inflationary because new bitcoins will appear with each new Bitcoin block.

There are already 19,444,675 BTC mined by miners and already exist in Bitcoin circulating supply.

The curve starts to be flattened out and not many bitcoin will be mined from new blocks in future.

3. Bitcoin is the future gold because soon people that have bitcoin will be the richest or most wealthy people in the world as long as they only keep on accumulating their bitcoin.

Not all people who have bitcoin can become rich, millionaires or billionaires. It depends on how many bitcoins they have.

If you care about privacy then you should focus only on bitcoin and not the crypto market, because bitcoin is the only decentralized currency with real technology.  the rest is just a money game, a financial market for people to find ways to get each other's money, and without any real technology in existence. altcoins is just a place to flaunt clichés to trick people into falling into traps, it's not a place to learn technology.  but if you are also interested in making a profit and want to be safe, bitcoin should still be the choice, altcoins are more like a gambling market than an investment.

Satoshi Nakamoto certainly didn't create Bitcoin with the intention of making a lot of people rich quickly. Bitcoin: a potent financial weapon. Still, money is money... We have no grounds for argument there. You could say it's like having the best of both worlds. In that case, more power to you, pal. I wish you all the best.

Yeah, that's the best you can say about it. Money is money. As long as people find ways to make money out of something, they will always take that opportunity. Satoshi's vision was not to make money but decentralization. While we still have all the features that Bitcoin carries, we are still making profits by taking advantage of its volatile nature. That's the best for investors and users who wants freedom from centralized shits.

But as we all know, one day Bitcoin mining will be over. Maybe then we can have stability in the market. Will Bitcoin be less interesting then? Of course not. It will still remain what it was created for. It will still hold the same purpose. But maybe then people will see 1 Bitcoin = 1 Bitcoin. That will be Bitcoin's turning point.

Cryptocurrency was introduced to me by a friend in my service service and in my service I was paid small amount of money for up keeping so he told me that I should saved 50% of my salary in bitcoin every month, though I have been attended seminar before but was not really well taught,so I join the forum to learn more and invested it bitcoin. And this is my reason of adopting bitcoin though they are other factors also compelled me to join the new trend of technology but this is the most convince one. Everyone has their own part to join the cryptocurrency Space. And today, I am very much happy that I am in this family. I have not regret to join crypto space.

I have financial freedom to store, send and receive money without any worries that my assets will lost compared to banks that you are reliant to a centralized service which you can’t access your funds in case they are bankrupt or temporarily out of service. Cryptocurrency makes the financial industry more accessible and secured.

Banks has a limited amount that can be insured and the exceeding balance will be lost if ever they file bankruptcy. On cryptocurrency, Your coin will never lost unkess you exposed your private key.

Over the years my reasons have changed, early on I was just impressed with the technology and being a newbie back then I did not knew much about the extreme movements this market can experience from time to time.

However as time has passed, even if I am still impressed by the technology behind bitcoin, my main reason to hold bitcoin became self-preservation, even if the fiat system could last way past my life expectancy at the same time it is already showing worrying signs, and I do not want to waste all my efforts by keeping my savings in a currency that losses value every day, and as such bitcoin is one of the assets I decided to hold in order to preserve the value of the money I have saved over the years.

They all invest with the hope of making some nice profit in the long run. I bet most of them will eventually sell their coins and continue using fiat currency. Yeah, there are few people that does like to use crypto currencies as a regular currency, but that's like 1 in 10 and they have their own reasons. I guess because it is too volatile for which people don't want to use it as a regular currency? Maybe in the future, when there is a clear framework in the usage of crypto currencies and support from the governments, people will be using it as a regular currency because it being so  much better than regular fiat currency.

Yes, the first why of adopting Bitcoin is profit and have in no small way benefitted from it. I have carried out very few transactions in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies but then it is not an everyday occurrence. Why this is so is because the government is yet to adopt it. People in El Salvador use it for daily needs aside profit because of their government's policy.

To make profit is a reason enough to embrace cryptocurrency. I can also assume that more than 70% of the people who adopted cryptocurrency did so because of profit making. Personally, apart from profit making, another reason why I adopted cryptocurrency is not to miss out on a golden opportunity. Many of us do not actually know the future of bitcoin and cryptocurrency but we are here because we know that the technology is pregnant and it can deliver something spectacular. I am among those.

I even believe that up to 90-99% of people accept cryptocurrencies for profit, because no one hates a lot of money. Those who say they invest in bitcoin or cryptocurrency for its superior features and not for profit are blatantly lying. In today's pragmatic society, money is said to be the most precious and important thing so it would be strange for someone to say they don't need it.

But of course, in addition to making a profit, we will also take advantage of the other features that bitcoin has to offer. For me, the use to store assets is what I like about bitcoin. I still use the bank, but depositing so much money in the bank is something I can't trust.

That is just the truth. If there be set of people who came to bitcoin not because of profit making, it should be the early adopters. Meanwhile if you say it is not because of the profit, what then? Anonymity or privacy? Bitcoin on its own does not offer the above two, you have to be careful not to link your identity to the blockchain to retain your anonymity or use mixers for privacy. Even if Bitcoin has many unique features, I know more than 50% of bitcoiners will leave bitcoin if it was to be made a stable coin.

According my point of view cryptocurrency is most adopting technology due to its uniqe benefits like.
1.It has no need any medium to transfer around the world
2.It has no fear to crush or lost or theft
3.It has no boundries,just have internet and can enjoy benefits of crypto.

I like to be free and financially independent. Bitcoin and other crypto gives me this freedom.

Yeah' financial independent/freedom entirely is what everyone desires, with fiat money you can be the owner of the money but not in control of how and when it should be spent, but bitcoin gives us both desires where we are owners of our asset and have the financial control over it without any centralized authority putting limitations and policies of regulations. More than that it gives value to our money against any inflationary situations and still keeps us in profit.
