I have seen several topics here and other discussion thread where many people talked about gambling addiction. So many procedures been stated to follow sequentially to reduce the rate at which one frequently visit online gambling sites and possibly their application if they do have any of them.

I remember in one of the threads I raised up a point which was long hidden as the thread became too numerous and lengthy to continue the conversation on that topic. It was my opinion to add up in profering solutions to gambling addiction. I believe not too many people saw it to to say something about it so that is why I had to bring it up as a topic hear. I want to hear your opinion and ideas towards it.

Here is it;

I am of the opinion that since gambling sites are mostly online and some has adds that pops up as advert on visited site, one should be able to disable or change their browser settings  by blocking casino adds and as well disabling  gambling sites on their browser settings so as not to gain access to it anymore till the number of days they deem fit to their resolve. This was just a little tip I gave as a possible solution. I had to put it up here for further discussions so that the bigger community can see it as  well.

If you feel or think here is not the right place for this you can say it. I am open to corrections as we all are here to learn.

Nobody can correct itself in a faster way, what's important here is we should think for the long term effect that gambling could result to not just for our own but also for the family. Online ads is misleading and not those that promised high odds will become the reality. Lets be careful every time because we might be a future victims of non legit sites that will take huge amount of money from us. Once you got that bad experience, I believed we might fall into changing ourselves for a new journey for gambling perspectives.

Truly nobody can correct oneself so fast and it takes some processes and procedures which would warrant an easy task assigned to making sure that one does the right thing in doing away with some habits being addiction. When it comes to gamble, there are other measures on can take which when applied can help reduce ones gambling addiction. Lots of them have been listed by other members of you read through, you would see them.
The thought of addiction alone is very worrisome because when it gets to that stage, it becomes a burden to not only the gambler but also to the family of the gambler because it has gone beyond control and as such one would need to put some self control measures or mechanism to help curtail the excesses from their gambling life.

Forcing some body who have already tested gambling money to stop gambling is very difficult, but some people don't know, some one can stop gambling when it have a job that will take most his time and I believe that gambling have to deal with a spirit because ìf you are a gambler and you want or decided to stop gambling sometimes will push you again to gamble again, so what I want us to know is that the only thing that can reduce an addictive gambler to stop gambling is only when it is engaged in job that deals with time, so with the job the will be no chance to make predictions of games to gamble.

No one will understand even if the information is hidden by gambling. In that case, the person should be in control. Betting between individuals on the outcome of a betting game or something else involves the exchange of money or valuables with the winner. To the naked eye it looks like a mere challenge but its intentions are not noble. Keep yourself away from gambling addiction and try to engage in family activities. Try not to over involve them in helping solve financial and other problems caused by gambling.

Honestly, I don't really know the real benefits of this gambling and for all of them gamblers, but certainly and what I know is that casinos will always run this business in various forms as the times develop for their new generation, of course none other than this is only for a big profit and the question is who doesn't want money? casinos will obviously continue to pursue this profit and also gamblers as losers will continue to hope for victory. But I say losers only for those who put more hope there, we must know that the system is made by the house for their benefit and that means no matter how hard you fight there in reality the house will still be more profitable than you. I'll give credit to those who come just for the entertainment, because that's what they're supposed to do.

And yeah like the title above, if you and your heart don't want to quit then go ahead and enjoy the downturn that will continue to befall you. Well, it's the only place where we can discuss such things because it's where most gamblers gather to share thoughts, games, and news about casinos why not tips to quit and fight addiction. IMO I don't think the solution is to quit entirely as that might only make your cravings for gambling worse. Let's say that if you give your best effort and stay away from gambling for several months, do you believe that the next time you gamble it will be better than before or worse? I believe it will likely be worse because you won't have control over the cravings you have been fighting for the past months, likely leading to spending all your money in one place in short time.

So I believe the solution is to focus on controlling the amount you gamble. Instead of investing too much money in gambling, consider spending those funds elsewhere or start an investment. It's okay to gamble once or twice a week with a smaller amount of money just for fun as long as it doesn't become an addiction and hurt you financially.

You can't entirely escape those ads they're everywhere, on television, in emails, on billboards and even from friends or people talking about their winnings or bets. So if you consider gambling as an enemy, they say to keep your friends close but your enemies closer.

My small tip: when I want to gamble with a bigger amount of money I say is it better to risk this amount of money with a potential of losing it or spend it buying something else (clothes, trip, good dinner…)

While the determination to leave gambling behind can get you far, those which want to do this need to look for professional help as well.

This is like trying to get in better shape, you could do it on your own, but if you go to a gym and consult a coach which has done this all their life then you will get faster results for less effort.

And while there are many scenarios in which you may decide to save yourself the effort, I do not think this should be done when we are talking about an addiction, as leaving it behind is often described by those that did it as the most difficult thing they did on their lives.

Gambling addiction is best solved by having gambling budget which is very small to the amount you are earning, like 5% of the 100% you are earning.
Budgets are a good way to manage finances but when it comes to gambling very few people can follow their game plan because emotions come into play and clouds one's judgement,  ego and stubbornness can lead to going off course...sometimes having a string of losses means you don't care about the outcome and end up going in for a double or nothing.

Btw that 5% profit target only works well with a big bankrolls, for the smaller ones it means risking higher amounts to make this small profit...

I am of the opinion that since gambling sites are mostly online and some has adds that pops up as advert on visited site, one should be able to disable or change their browser settings  by blocking casino adds and as well disabling  gambling sites on their browser settings so as not to gain access to it anymore till the number of days they deem fit to their resolve.
This is a great suggestion and these browser companies need to be tasked with this assignment to help curb gambling addiction before more younger people get hooked to this and worse case scenario lead to sucide for losing too much money.
