I remember the movie "Ready Player One" where the world runs on VR which is called Oasis made by Halliday.

I will gladly look up that movie  Grin

Quote
Lol  Grin please do, that's an interesting movie to watch, it was out in the year 2018 and Wade Watts/Parzival is the main character of the movie, this is the magazine of the movie since you are interested in watching it

Although is not clear but it will be of help.

First of all we do not have clear proof that he left, we just know that he doesn't use the same nickname anymore, he could have gotten something else, and have some other wallet and just keep on checking. There is also an argument to be made about how Hal Finney could have been Satoshi, there are way too many similarities and also they had the first ever transaction between them, there was also rumor that someone with that name lived near him too, and considering how he passed away unfortunately. This means that Satoshi could even be gone, even if he wasn't Hal Finney, he could be someone else who passed away as well. All in all, its possible that he didn't just leave, he just couldn't be here.
On a second thoughts, you can be right because these day the government personnel do investigate on how new things come up and if they are not satisfied with their investigations they short down the platform but since Satoshi Nakamoto shield his identity that's why some of the government can't do anything apart from not legalizing it.

Satoshi might still be living among us or dead, but it doesn't matter; all that matters is that the technology he designed is working effectively the way he thought of it before or after creating Bitcoin.
Perhaps Satoshi said that a lost Bitcoin "only make everyone else's coins worth slightly more." So, a Bitcoiner should consider his lost wallet key as a donation to the success of Bitcoin technology, what if he also just distroy the key for his wallets that hold a huge sum of Bitcoin? In this life, before something can work the way we expected it to, there are some sacrifices we must make, which I guess is what Satoshi Nakamto did. He locked up a huge amount of Bitcoin in his wallet and probably distroyed the private key to the wallet. He also realised that his technology might not really be decentralised if he made himself known. So, it's all for the good of Bitcoin.
Anyways I supports you habitually, well I believe that Satoshi Nakamoto invented bitcoin for the improvement of everyone so that no investor will stress him selfs for any coller jobs, moreover Satoshi Nakamoto might be among us or he might have passed away but I am sure were ever he is, he will be very much happy for invention because is going as planned.

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

LOL, @rachael9385, who do you think it to be a cool reason? Bitcoin investment doesn't prevent a person from looking for a white collar job. In fact, it's good that a Bitcoin investor should have other sources of income; it could be a job, a business, or another investment, but if a Bitcoin investor is only relying on their Bitcoin investment, they might really be spending their holdings more often until they can spend almost all the Bitcoin they hold. Bitcoin investment is freedom because it gives you the privilege to do other things. You can be fully in charge of your other business or job while still investing in Bitcoin.

Yes I get your points @Dr.Bitcoin_strange, but I was trying to say that the adoption of bitcoin gives us the privilege to invest and also do other jods.
Qe:: if you do white coller jods will you have the freedom to run a business or other jobs? No, unless someone runs the business for you that's why I was trying to say that Bitcoin is not like white collar jobs, the activities of a white collar job will stress the workers and at the end of the day they won't be able to attend their own business that is if only they have other businesses.

We don't even know if it was just an individual or a group that created the technology and didn't want the world to know anything about them, and they might still be around, the wallets that used to stay inactive for years and started moving recently might be theirs since it is not only important for them to move the funds from that specific wallet which would let the world know that they are around and there will surely then be traces that will lead the world to them some way or another.

I think it is much better if Satoshi is unknown and no one knows where he is right now because I believe he could probably get harmed and his family would also be under the threat if he was known to be the creator of one of the most revolutionary things of the world so far.

Leaving is the what makes the work completed, if he does not leave it's possible that threat can make him change his mind and fell on the feet of centralization, leaving is what makes the decentralization works in a centralized planet. It's a shame that many projects running on the blockchain over look this piece of advise and step from Nakamoto, this is the only way decentralization can work.

I always laugh at others that claimed their coins are fully decentralized, and they show their faces to the whole world, it's like they don't understand how to keep decentralization functioning in a world where everything is controlled by centralised power.

Going fully anonymous is the only way to make decentralization work in this world.

I wouldn't mind the fact that you are trying to put more efforts and curiosity to know about satoshi, don't you also think that other has been so so so curious about him as well? Do you know that lots of questions and topics regarding how about satoshi, he ways about and etc has been regularly discussed and people tends to be giving same answers and same reply so far?

What you should also understand is that, worrying about satoshi adds no value to you because he knows he ways about and no doubt that same person we are so curious to know he well-being might be communicating with us here with another separate username which you and I don't know and he may not open up for people to know is him and, I also love his disappearance otherwise something strange might have happened to bitcoin couple with the government trying their best make sure bitcoin is being put to death.

But never, he understood the principle and disappeared, maybe do you know if the satoshi we known to be is just a common name he just pick up to use over here and then hid his real name from people? Yes very possible that he could hide his true identity.

In short, Satoshi's anonymity isnt merely a fascinating mystery. It reveals global power structures and how traditional banking has changed. The movement of those long-dormant wallets is inspiring and brave on the big chessboard of human progress.

Most people like you would shy away from such a huge change, but Satoshi had integrity to challenge existing structures. Your concerns regarding Satoshi and his family are valid. Because people are terrified of the unknown, this world has long discouraged dreamers.

Satoshi's anonymity is protection and a sign. Bitcoin is decentralised and hard to find. You overlook the big picture when you worry about one individual or group. Bitcoin's a movement, not a person or thing.

You will have to go back to the scene and what happened back then, before you pass judgement on Satoshi Nakamoto. The law in most countries forbid anyone to "create" their own money. Satoshi Nakamoto most probably live in a country where it is illegal to "create" your own currency, so he knew that he might face jail time, if they identified him.

Most of the early coiners were buying and selling coins in secret, nobody wanted to be doxed back then, so the scene were set for Satoshi Nakamoto to be anonymous..... then Gavin informed Satoshi Nakamoto that he spoke to the 3letter agencies and Satoshi Nakamoto went into hiding. (most people would have done the same thing)  Roll Eyes

Satoshi went straught into it hustled to make the bitcoin blockchain, got a bunch of folks to help him, made it fool proof and then just was like welp okay I'm out, dueces. To never be heard from again, never even use any of their massive fortune, not a single lead as to where he is or what he is doing right now. What other world changing technology do you think they are working on right now?

Something I have always been so curious of is what is Satoshi like? How did he grow up, did he have any siblings and what were his parents like (assuming it's just one person and a male as opposed go a group of people).

It baffles me that someone could have such wealth and fortune and not even touch it for sooooo long. Could you imagine this forum shaking to its core if one of his wallets became active? That would he a sight to see.

I know so many people go for Hal Finney being Satoshi which would make a lot of sense since that major fortune hasn't been touched and Hal has been passed for about as long now, but why on earth would Satoshi make the first person he sent btc to be himself if he was trying to keep his identity a secret lol. That's why I think thay can't be. If you ask me Satoshi is out there living among us living an every day life, probably no different than an average upper middle class citizen so that he can keep to himself and never have any suspicion following them. That's just my 2 cents   Grin

This is not to credit the creation of bitcoin to anyone without a pseudo name or anyone who claims to have been the inventor of bitcoin but the singular fact that one can create such an innovation and walk away from it, leaving his/her/their identity as anonymous is the singular reason why the blockchain technology still exists till date.

Imagine if the creator of blockchain and/or bitcoin is known, the FEDs would have come up with systems, laws and policies that will frustrate the very essence of the technology and get it shut down by all means.  I'm happy the creators walked away and that has been the reason behind the success this far.

I personally believe that Satoshi left and not leaving any trace of his identity is to protect the cause. If he still here and actively interfere the development of Bitcoin or its community, people will question the true decentralization of Bitcoin. With his out of the picture, it remove the possibility that haters accusing him as the central and the one who control Bitcoin. And the choice of his anonymity is definitely for the best, if he reveals his identity he will be hunted both by good and bad person, his life could be in danger.

Just leaving the account and anything that related to "Satoshi", but no one can know if he's really disappear from this world, this forum, or anything that related with Bitcoin because he can create a new account with someone name.

I find it's really hard to accept a creator leave his project to the community when he's invention is really great and give a huge impact to the world.

Yes I get your points @Dr.Bitcoin_strange, but I was trying to say that the adoption of bitcoin gives us the privilege to invest and also do other jods.

Yeah, that's right, some people usually have some conception about this, like they think they can just invest in Bitcoin and begin to make profit instantly. Because of those kinds of thoughts running through their heads, they usually just invest in Bitcoin and put all their hope on the investment; some might not even endeavour to do other jobs to make earnings. Some weeks ago, there was a topic about someone wanting to quit his job because he wanted to start Bitcoin trading, which makes me think that some people are not really educated about Bitcoin before they go into it. So, I thought you were having some misconception; I guess you just made the mistake in your first comment. it's fine @rachael9385.

We never know that satoshi never left his work and we just assumed he left his work since his forum account is no longer active. Anyway, inactive account in forum doesn't mean he leaves his work behind, we don't know he might still working behind the scene by other alias or maybe his real name. Maybe there's a reason behind not wanted to get known for his work especially some governments in a country banned Bitcoin. Well, would you rather get known if some governments are looking for the creator?. Bitcoin is not intended for criminal activities but some people use it for that matter so it's the same as helping criminals do what they do best even though he ceated it for other purposes.

It’s good that he remains a mystery. Add some excitement and suspense to the coin. I tell people that nobody knows who created Bitcoin and they all get curious.
Looking at the way things are now, one would easily conclude that it was the best decision in the interest of Bitcoin for its creator to have remained anonymous so that its creation can also remain decentralized. It's obvious that Satoshi carefully planned this from the outset to remain anonymous, starting from his emails and correspondences he/she/they exchanged with others. Late Hai Finney who exchanged mails with Satoshi couldn't even put a face to the name. The closest Finney came to was that he believed Satoshi to be a Japanese.

This will remain one of the hypotheses that can last with us for a very long time and without a clear answer. All we will say are hypotheses that no one can prove or deny.
That's correct. Even if anyone springs up now to claim they're Satoshi they're going to be attacked for being an imposter. Even if they're able to sign messages from whatever wallets that house coins believed to be owned by Satoshi, there will still be a level of doubt. I think it's better Satoshi shouldn't bother showing up again. Bitcoin is better without their identity.
