It will be Emmanuel Rodriguez- vs Melvin Lopez for the IBF belt. So they are the number 2 and number 3 contender. Unfortunately, I thought that Filipino Reymart Gaballo was in the mix as well, but he was rank number 4 in the rankings.

Hopefully though, whoever wins this fight, will give a crack at Gaballo first before going in another unification fight with other champion.

I'm only familiar with Rodriguez because Inoue totally annihilated him in their match on the WBSS, you can see his face bleeding and then that body punch that Inoue throw ended the match early.

But it seems that he has bounce back already and so with another chance to win the vacant IBF. And most likely he has the experience that's why the odds is on his favor against a relatively unknown Lopez in bantamweight.

Rodriguez has a chance to redeem himself, as it seems he was robbed during his fight against Reymart Gaballo. Now, it's his time to make a comeback and become a champion. If he can win this fight, perhaps if Donaire does not retire, we might see another Donaire fight as the challenger. The odds are actually attractive, but judging from Lopez's previous fights, it doesn't seem to impress me. He hasn't had many championship fights compared to Rodriguez, who has been in numerous championship bouts. Rodriguez has only suffered losses to Inoue and Gaballo, but his most recent loss was controversial.

Hopefully, we can see Gaballo winning this IBF belt very soon.

Yeah, and that was also the funny part of it, IBF consider him their number 3 because of his 8 fight winning straight but they didn't see who he fights and the quality of his opponents on that run. It's better if they will put Reymart Gaballo, a former champion himself and also coming from a win. And it just shows how this body is ranking their players and it's obvious there is somewhere wrong and could be that there is corruption as we have said in the major governing bodies of boxing.

Rodriguez is the only known boxer here, as he has previously fought Inoue during the bantamweight series but was knockout early. Lopez though his records is very weird, and it a sense we can call his previous opponents as taxi cab drivers. And mostly you fight those kind of boxers to pad your records and this is what happen to Lopez.

But IBF recognizes his winning streak more than former champion Reymart Gaballo that's why he was above in the rankings. And that's why he is a huge underdog here and most likely we will see Rodriguez vs Gaballo next.

And as expected in this fight, Rodriguez just steam roll Lopez knock him down 3x in the canvass en route to a lopsided 115-105 scores in the judges hand. With that win, he regain the belt that he has lost to Inoue several years back in the WBSS tournament. So it's time for him to fight Gaballo next and defeat him in the rematch. Yes, there are no upsets in this fight and that is good. At least Rodriguez shows why he is the top rated boxer of IBF and so he claim back the IBF title that he once held in 2019. And with that and as what everyone is hoping, his next fight should be against the next seeded boxer in Reymart Gaballo.

This is championship fight so obviously fighters will do everything to stay on the game for as long as they can and not being knockout. At least they have a fighting chance as we all know that in boxing, just a single punch will change the complexion of the fight.

However, Lopez wasn't lucky to land that punch because Rodriguez had him several times in trouble and even knock him down several times in the last round. Now Rodriguez can be call a 118 lbs champion again and there are no upset.

They might have overlook Gaballo here and put Lopez who become a 6:1 underdog and judges scores a wide decision win for Rodriguez. Didn't give justice for a championship fight hehehe.
