I created a thread in Bounties (Altcoins) section - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5462115.0. Application format is clearly given in OP. But, numerous accounts are posting mindless shits beyond my understanding. I cleared some post and clarified the requirement. But, same shit again!

Are those bots? Is it even possible to run bots on BitcoinTalk, where sign in requires Google CAPTCHA solve? If not, then why are humans responding there like this? What are they gaining by wasting there own time?

p.s. Pardon my naivety. Though an user of BitcoinTalk since 2014, I spend most of my time on CT & TG. Hence, my knowledge about BitcoinTalk is limited in comparison to those who registered at my time.

p.p.s. Please do not turn this Meta thread into a discussion of merit of the Crypto I am promoting there. I know, it is a memecoin and I am an early investor. No further discussion regarding that in Meta please.

If there is anything that I have understood about that section (altcoins and bounty registration), only a very few of those hunters make the time to eventually read the rules of a particular campaign; most of them just adhere to their common POA as it seems to be the first step before furthering their bounty registration. They might not be bots, but most of the accounts flooded with the so-called shitpost might likely appear to be operated by a few individuals who are in a rush to secure a spot for themselves in the campaign.

For you to have an itch free experience on your thread, make sure you have it moderated, if you look closely to the altcoins section, most of the users on the bounty board are newbies inwhich many of them have zero experience about the forum, bitcoin or the subject matter intended for the thread creation, all they are after is a means to promote and hunt after bounties, it is also believed that some of them are trollers or scammers, all they do that is common with them is to spam up threads with less quality posts, off topic posts and spam, aside moderating your thread, try to report some to the moderator if needs be it and the thread is not moderated by you.

This account users are not bots, they are all bounty hunters. Their aims in this forum is to make money via bounties and being introduced to bounty hunting the format of registration for most bounties is what they reply your post with.
The fact is they don't read instructions, they are just interested in making space for themselves in every bounty campaign.

Are those bots?

No, just members who dropped their application without reading the rules. In that section, I think that members that participate in bounty programmes are mostly subjected to only one method of application, so any time they see a campaign, they are always in a rush to apply without reading the rules. Another thing you should know is that the Altcoin section is mostly flooded with some spammers.

That is the format at which applicants do pass through in other to apply for a campaign, probably you didn't include while structures your campaign thread and it's something that shows they did apply for your campaign since no instructions on how to apply.
So do not see it as bot keep applying or keep posting same style as the fault is from your end, you didn't instructions on how to apply properly than just leaving the space empty and they had to use the regular way to apply for a promotion and if you look other thread across the bounty section you would see they all did same thing along the line as well.

It's just a person or a number of people who own farms of accounts used to participate in bounties. Given that bounties don't reward that many earnings, it looks like some people resorted to creating so many accounts which they use to apply for different campaigns minus even reading and interpreting the rules.

The best thing you can do is ignore suspicious applicants and only accept those that seem legit. The account farmer or farmers will have wasted time applying with dozens of his accounts.

Welcome to the Bitcointalk bounty section where you'll find a lot of human bot that will wake up a bounty thread that's over 2years ago with their immature application.
To avoid this in the future or now, I will recommend you post rules which restricted users who haven't make 100 post or reach the member rank from participating in the bounty.

It's because they are dumb and lazy AF. Chances are all of the accounts posting incorrect applications belong to 2 or 3 people, max. I'm going to look into their connections and most likely tag them as they most likely belong to bounty cheaters. There needs to be some kind of minimum intelligence requirement on this forum, and these posters have failed it.

that's what happened on the bounty board. saw a bounty hunter spam POA even on a long dead bounty thread. their goal is simply to increase activity. You may see a new account with 10-20 POA posts on the same day. even some of them are not listed in the spreadsheet. the reason is simple, on the bounty board, their spam will not be deleted. different when they increase their account activity by posting on Bitcoin discussion boards or something else.
if you want to purge lazy accounts like that from your bounty threads, it's definitely going to take a lot of effort. and luckily you made your thread to be self-moderated. otherwise, it will be a pile of trash.

Don't they realize they need merits to rank up? They will forever be newbies by engaging in this kind of spam. Well, either way, I just linked and tagged 19 accounts that have been engaging in this behavior in OP's thread and others as well. Not that it really matters so much. A minor inconvenience for them, they'll create 19 new accounts tomorrow and be back at it.

There's a few different farms in OP's thread but I don't have time to do them all at once, lol.

The reason is simple, on the bounty board, their spam will not be deleted. different when they increase their account activity by posting on Bitcoin discussion boards or something else.
Increasing activity point with bounty PoA posts does not make sense.

They can not rank up and will stuck as newbies if they can not earn at least one merit. Most of accounts in bounties board have hundred, thousand of posts without 1 merit.

Because most bounties don't require activity point so collecting it is not bounty hunters' reason. They don't mind their PoA posts will be deleted or not.

They make such non sense, non-required PoA posts or make it with a different format in bounty they are applying because they are lazy and don't read rules.

Impulsive hunters, I watched them for years and seemed to have no idea how to reduce them. It can be said that the default application format (PoA) where almost all bounty managers apply the same way.

Now another problem, I think your thread includes breaking the board rules. You are giving participants a low effort task, I saw this kind of case in the past the publisher will get temporary ban. cmiiw
Incentivizing posting within one or several threads via low effort tasks (e.g. signups or proof of participation for liking, following, subscribing, retweeting, tweeting a single tweet, joining a channel or group, etc.) is not allowed as it falls under the "no altcoin giveaways" rule (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2103687.0):

Given the above, you have no way to get rid of these "human bots". They will repeat the same posts several times, for now all the information is recorded and just copy/paste.

What I suggest to you, and to everyone who wants legitimate users, is to create a specific application pattern. Only those who have this pattern do you know that you have read the rules.

I see you've done more or less this. But, I should elaborate more. How to put some more detail in the candidature text, or have additional information in the informative text about the rules.

Anyway, use your imagination a little to try to make it easier for you to find who really read what you wanted to be read.

Are those bots? Is it even possible to run bots on BitcoinTalk, where sign in requires Google CAPTCHA solve? If not, then why are humans responding there like this? What are they gaining by wasting there own time?
No. They are just normal people who don't know how to read the requirements, and the format that they need to post.
I guess they just put it in a Notepad, copy it, and then pasted it in your made thread.

I'm not going to that section anymore because it's being swarmed by newbies out there who are posting Proof of Authentication, and social media links. Correct me, but I guess in every 10 seconds or 20 seconds, there's one either POA or social media links that are being posted on that section. Overall, it's filled with newbie-ranked users, and they aren't bots, but just low IQ users who don't even know how to read.

I created a thread in Bounties (Altcoins) section - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5462115.0. Application format is clearly given in OP. But, numerous accounts are posting mindless shits beyond my understanding. I cleared some post and clarified the requirement. But, same shit again!
it happened on the bounty board, and no one really cared much about it. most of the active users on the forums ignore the boards. You should choose well the applications from serious participants. besides that, there is also caught alt.

saw a bounty hunter spam POA even on a long dead bounty thread. their goal is simply to increase activity. You may see a new account with 10-20 POA posts on the same day.
I remember the thread I once made regarding POA spam by one of the accounts. Ndasmu Njeblug, spam in the bounty thread.
more extreme, the account made 60 more POA spam.

Don't they realize they need merits to rank up? They will forever be newbies by engaging in this kind of spam.
as I recall, there was once a bounty manager who made rules regarding newbie ranking participants with a minimum of activity who could join the bounty campaign. maybe now rules like that are not used. it will be another reason for those accounts to increase their activity.

my other guess is after they spammed to increase activity. they will sleep for a while, then wake up with Merit from their alt. and they've gone up in rank.
